Indonesia government through Indonesia Ministry of Health has developing Health Information System, including Primary Health Care Information System Management (SIMPUS), as a tool to acquire an accurate data to improve society health quality. SIMPUS has been implemented in several districts in Indonesia, including Bantul District, Yogyakarta. But, founded several problems during the implementation. This research aimed to evaluate SIMPUS eHealth implementation compared to IHIS. Qualitative with case study approach was used to capture the data in Piyungan Public Health Centre. PIECES was employed as an evaluation method. Our respondents were SIMPUS manager, SIMPUS officer in mother and child health, SIMPUS officer in patient registration, and SIMPUS officer in the medical record. Our research revealed that eHealth was powerfull than IHIS. Nevertheless, there were several limitations on eHealth such as less of control-security and service. For future research suggested to include more number of Puskesmas as a sample to figure out the comprehensive problem

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that becomes a health problem globally, including in Indonesia. Yogyakarta City is a district that struggle with TB; from 2017-2018, there was an increase of TB case in this city. There was limited evidence concerning TB and its possible risk factors among TB case 2017-2018, mainly using GIS in Yogyakarta. Methods: This study used an ecological study design to determine the correlation between population and housing density with TB incidence in Yogyakarta City in 2017-2018. Secondary data was obtained from the Yogyakarta City Health Profile 2018-2019. Spearman rank correlation test and spatial analysis using Quantum GIS software were employed to analyse the data. Results: There was a relationship between TB and population density variables (p-value = 0.034; R = -0.568) and housing density (p-value = 0.012; R = -0.625) in Yogyakarta, 2017-2018. Conclusions: This study indicates that the density of housings and population affect the prevalence of Tuberculosis.

Abstract

Climate change is becoming a major issue around the globe with increasing impact on human health. Strategies aiming to address these climate change impacts are thus a necessity. Involving teenagers as agents of change is one way to promote necessary changes in attitudes and behaviors, in the community and our future society. This paper explores climate change perceptions among teenagers in order to formulate strategies that include them as agents in climate change adaptation addressing health. We did quick survey in 95 students, which are categorized as teenagers from a senior high school in Gunungkidul, Indonesia randomly enrolled as respondents in this research, but 15 of them dropped out due to the incompleteness of answer. A structured questionnaire was used to measure the teenagers’ perceptions about climate change and health. Based on this research respondents have had an intermediate understanding of the impact of climate change on human health. There were 65% of respondents stated that they felt the impact of climate change this time. However, the level of understanding varies with respect to disease. So that, it is highly recommended to improve the knowledge of teenagers about climate change and its consequences on human health by use mass media (TV, Radio and the internet) as media channels for interventions targeting teenagers.

Abstract

This study sought the factor associated with own acceptance of HIS for PHC by using the modification of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the Sebengkok PHC, Central Tarakan Subdistrict, Tarakan City, North Borneo, Indonesia. A cross-sectional approach was conducted through a survey on the 37 of PHC’s user. A set of questionnaires which was adopted from the previous research was used to collect the information from the participant. The model was developed by involving job relevance, output quality, result demonstrability, screen design, terminology, facilitating condition, perceived of usefulness, perceived ease of use, intention to use and system use (actual usage) as the construct. According to the hypothesis testing, perceived usefulness predicted by terminology, perceived ease of use is significantly predicted by screen design and terminology, perceived usefulness significantly predicts the intention of use and perceived ease of use, while system use which predicted considerably by the intention of use and facilitating condition. This study may have a contribution to the future improvement of HIS for PHC and guide the next coming research to dig the difference acceptance among the user.
