Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of microlearning in lifelong learning and its effectiveness for Generation Z. With the advancement of digital technology, Generation Z, known for their habit of consuming information rapidly and having a shorter attention span, requires a more flexible and efficient learning approach. Microlearning, which delivers content in small, easily digestible chunks, provides a fitting solution to meet these needs. This research explores how microlearning can enhance student engagement, facilitate self-directed learning, and strengthen long-term retention of information. Additionally, the study assesses the potential application of microlearning in regular education, considering the readiness of resources and stakeholders involved. The findings suggest that microlearning is effective in supporting lifelong learning, offering flexibility in terms of time and space, and improving learning outcomes for Generation Z. However, its implementation needs careful preparation with adequate technological support and proper arrangements to ensure optimal impact on the educational process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine efforts to accelerate the Expected Years of Schooling (EYS) and the Mean Years of Schooling (MYS) in West Java. The region continues to face significant educational challenges, including disparities in teacher distribution and quality, inconsistencies in institutional management, inadequate educational infrastructure, and limited access to education particularly in rural areas. These issues hinder the progress toward achieving targeted levels of EYS and MYS. Employing a qualitative approach through a case study method, data collection was conducted using triangulation techniques involving observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings highlight strategies designed to enhance the pace of educational attainment in West Java. These strategies involve coordinated efforts between the Provincial Education Office, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Higher Education Service Institutions. Despite the integration of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes, and the allocation of various funding sources such as Central and Regional School Operational Assistance, as well as the Indonesia Smart Card progress remains below expectations due to persistent structural and systemic barriers.

Abstract

Pasirmunjul Village, located in Sukatani District, Purwakarta Regency, is categorized as a landslide-prone area due to its hilly topography and high rainfall. The limited public understanding of disaster risks and lack of preparedness represent serious challenges in disaster risk reduction. This community engagement initiative aimed to improve local resilience through educational and mitigation-based approaches. The activities included public awareness campaigns, emergency response training, evacuation simulations, and environmental conservation education to help prevent future ground movement. The results showed a significant improvement in residents' understanding of landslide risks, readiness for emergencies, and active participation in protecting the surrounding environment. This program is expected to strengthen the community’s capacity to independently and sustainably anticipate and manage landslide disasters.
