Abstract

This article is about the Islamic development program for children in Kandui Village, which includes teaching Quranic recitation at the Qur'anic Education Park (TPA), muhadharoh, Islamic Children's Festival (FAI), prayer practice and Islamic teaching at the madrasah. The main focus of this program is to instill morals and faith in children from an early age. Through Qur'an reading activities, religious discussions and teaching Islamic values, children are taught to understand and internalize religious teachings in their daily lives. This research identifies the positive impact of the program on children's character development, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation, including parental and community involvement. The results show that an integrated and collaborative approach can create an environment that supports the growth of faith and noble character in the younger generation in Kandui Village.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the levels of digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and socio-cultural awareness among prospective biology teachers. A cross-sectional survey method was employed. Data were collected through the distribution of a closed-ended questionnaire on February 10, 2023. The questionnaire used a Likert scale, with each item scored on a range from 1 to 5. The digital literacy questionnaire consisted of 20 items, the problem-solving skills questionnaire comprised 24 items, and the socio-cultural awareness questionnaire included 15 items. The questionnaires were distributed to biology education students from four universities in Bali: Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia, and IKIP Saraswati. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling, based on specific criteria relevant to the research objectives. The research instruments were developed based on the aspects and indicators of 21st-century skills proposed by Greenstein. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to address the research questions. The findings of the study are as follows: students' digital literacy falls within the intermediate category; their problem-solving skills are at the basic level; and their socio-cultural awareness is also categorized as intermediate. It is necessary to develop alternative learning programs that enhance students' digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and socio-cultural awareness. One potential approach is project-based learning that directly integrates technology use and addresses real-life issues at both local and global levels.

Abstract

Bullying in elementary school environments is a serious challenge in education that negatively impacts students' character development and psychological well-being. Civic Education (PKn) holds strategic potential in preventing bullying by instilling values of democracy, tolerance, empathy, and social responsibility. This study aims to examine the role of PKn in fostering an anti-bullying culture in elementary schools through a library research method. Data were collected from various academic literature and analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The findings indicate that value-based PKn learning can raise students' moral awareness about the importance of living peacefully and respecting differences. Civic Education teachers play a significant role as role models in internalizing anti-bullying values through contextual learning strategies. Furthermore, the “Roots” program by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and UNICEF, which involves students as agents of change, strengthens the synergy between character education and civic learning. Thus, PKn contributes greatly to creating a safe, inclusive, and bullying-free school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of celebrity endorsers on brand trust, considering gender as a moderating variable, with a focus on the use of celebrity endorsements for cosmetic products in Indonesia. Based on the Source Credibility Theory, this study employs a quantitative method using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with 115 respondents in Jakarta, who were obtained through a chain referral system technique. The results show that celebrity endorsers significantly increase brand trust, in line with previous findings that support the credibility of endorsers. A crucial finding is the role of gender as a significant moderator, where the influence of celebrity endorsers is more substantial on male consumers than female consumers in the context of women's cosmetic products. Managerial implications suggest that marketers consider gender dynamics in the selection of celebrity endorsers to optimize marketing strategies and campaign effectiveness, even for products traditionally aimed at a particular gender. This study contributes to enriching the marketing literature by providing empirical insights from the Indonesian context regarding the role of gender in moderating the influence of celebrity endorsers.

Abstract

Students who have good communication skills tend to find it easier to understand the material, collaborate with classmates, and complete assignments. Communication skills must be established in students. Learning is not optimal without good communication (good interaction between educators and students). The research on applying the multi-representational discourse (MRD) learning model. This study aimed to explore how this model can improve students' communication skills. The method used in this study was classroom action research. This study was conducted on grade XI students at MAN Kota Palangka Raya with 36 respondents. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative analysis technique to compare student activities during the cycle. The results showed an increase in students' communication skills using MRD learning. The MRD model encourages students to discuss and exchange opinions actively, improving their ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally. The results showed increased students' communication skills, especially in expressing opinions, discussing, making presentations, and asking questions. The use of models that involve active interaction between students, such as group discussions, can have a positive impact on the learning process.

Abstract

Poverty is a global problem that is still a challenge for many countries, including Indonesia. In 2024, In 2024, as many as 25.22 million people in Indonesia are still classified as poor, indicating that the problem of poverty in Indonesia is still relatively high. This condition also occurs in the South Sumatra region (SUMBAGSEL), where the poverty rate in several provinces is still above the national average. The problem raised in this study is whether fiscal decentralization, regional financial performance and zakat revenue affect the poverty rate in SUMBAGSEL in 2018-2024. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of these three variables on the poverty rate. With a quantitative research method, the study population includes reports related to all variables in 5 provinces in SUMBAGSEL. The sampling method used is saturated sampling, while the data analysis technique used is panel data using EViews 10 software. The results of the study indicate that fiscal decentralization has no effect on the poverty rate in SUMBAGSEL, while regional financial performance and zakat revenue have a negative and significant effect on poverty.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between career development and work-life balance (WLB) among employees in Indonesia’s emerging workforce. Grounded in Greenhaus and Allen’s (2011) Work-Family Balance model, the research challenges traditional spillover perspectives by proposing that career development enhances WLB indirectly through increased job satisfaction. Data were collected from 103 working professionals and analyzed using mediation analysis with bootstrapping techniques. The results confirm that career development significantly improves job satisfaction, which in turn positively influences WLB. The indirect effect of career development on WLB through job satisfaction was also significant, highlighting the importance of psychological fulfillment in bridging professional growth and personal well-being. These findings offer practical insights for organizations aiming to design career development programs that foster both employee satisfaction and work-life harmony. The study contributes to the literature by validating the Work-Family Balance model in a non-Western context and emphasizing the need for holistic HR policies that address both professional and personal domains.

Abstract

Based on the results of the researcher's observations, there are problems in the use of conventional and passive learning media. In solving these problems, the researcher developed a snake and ladder game media on the material of faith in the hereafter which is the 5th pillar of faith. Limited distribution was only carried out at MTs Darul Amin Palangkaraya school. Another goal is to find out whether the snake and ladder game media is suitable for use as a learning medium. This study uses a research and development method with the 4D Thiagaraja model. This stage consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Based on the results of the study, the results of the validation of material experts obtained an average percentage of 87% with the criteria "Very Eligible" for use, the results of the validation of media experts obtained an average percentage of 98.6% with the criteria "Very Eligible" for use, the results of educator responses obtained an average percentage of 100% with the criteria "Very Eligible" for use. This research and development is designed to help solve the difficulties of teachers and students, this creative and fun learning media has a touch of technology and is easy to operate by the teacher concerned in the learning process, this can create a pleasant classroom atmosphere and can encourage students to participate directly in the teaching and learning process, belief in the hereafter provides self-awareness of responsibility and encourages noble behavior and avoids sin.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe strengthening religious moderation through political education in East Kotawaringin Regency. This strengthening was carried out through two activities by the National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) and the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB). This type of research uses qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique goes through stages in the form of: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that strengthening religious moderation in East Kotawaringin Regency was carried out through collaboration between government and non-government institutions, elements of society and community organizations (ormas). The emphasis is on instilling the values of tolerance in politics through; respecting each individual's choice in elections, avoiding fraudulent practices or being involved in money politics, the practice of exercising the right to vote, associating and assembling without any intervention from any party, equal rights for every citizen in politics and changing the mental attitude of the younger generation . The development of the concept of religious moderation in this city needs to be reviewed again regarding its effectiveness in society.

Abstract

This study has a very important objective, namely to identify and analyze teacher strategies in the process of instilling multicultural education values ​​in Islamic Religious Education learning for class XII SMAN 2 Palangka Raya. To achieve this goal, the research used a qualitative method with data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. Then, the validity of the data was tested through triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. The results of the study showed that Islamic Religious Education teachers used six main strategies in instilling multicultural education values ​​in Islamic Religious Education learning, namely group learning/discussion strategies, meaningful learning strategies, experience-based learning strategies, learning strategies with humor, learning strategies using videos and ppts, and strategies to provoke student involvement. These strategies have proven effective in instilling multicultural education values ​​in Islamic Religious Education learning and have been proven to form students' attitudes that are more open, more tolerant, able to do good to fellow school residents who are diverse, and able to think critically about issues of diversity.
