Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative learning model using the Think Pair Share (TPS) technique. The subjects of the study were the students of class VII-A at SMPN 3 Surabaya. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through tests, namely formative tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students' mathematics learning outcomes after the application of the Think Pair Share technique. In the first cycle, the average student scores increased significantly compared to before the intervention, with even greater improvements observed in the second cycle. Besides improving learning outcomes, the application of the Think Pair Share technique also had a positive impact on student participation and interaction during the learning process. Students became more active in discussions and helped each other understand the lesson material. Therefore, the Think Pair Share technique has proven effective in enhancing the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VII-A at SMPN 3 Surabaya. .

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences and effectiveness results of using the Concept Centence and Think Talk Write cooperative learning models in order to develop descriptive text writing skills. The type of research used in this research is quasi-experimental or known as quasi-experimental research. Samples taken from elementary schools in Bancak District, Semarang Regency were SDN Jlumpang and SDN Pucung. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique. The dependent variable in this research is descriptive text writing skills. The technique used in this research is using tests. Statistical analysis tests used for this research include normality tests, homogeneity tests with t-tests or mean difference tests. The results of this research are that there are differences in the Concept Centence and Think Talk Write learning models regarding descriptive text writing skills. The difference in the average pretest and posttest scores for experimental class 1 is 23,34. While for experimental class 2 it is 19,12. The t-test results show the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,020 < 0,05, so that Concept Sentence learning has significantly superior effectiveness on the descriptive text writing skills of 5th students in Bancak District.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang hubungan hukum dan keadilan yang diaplikasikan dalam sistem hukum tentang tindak pidana korupsi. Instrumen penegakan tindak pidana korupsi masih dianggap kurang memenuhi unsur keadilan. Khususnya dalam kasus korupsi di tengah pandemik yang dilakukan oleh mantan Menteri Perikanan dan kelautan dan mantan Menteri Sosial. Jenis penelitian hukum yang digunakan dalam penyusunan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (empiric library), yakni prosuder penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan, dengan melakukan kajian normatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu yuridis empiris (Statute Approach). Sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis yaitu penelitian yuridis normative yang artinya permasalahan yang diteliti berdasarkan peraturan perundang-undnagan, literatur hukum, dan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa instrument tentang tindak pidana korupsi dan sanksinya belum menunjukan rasa keadilan dalam amsyarakat terbukti dengan membuminya wacana hukuman mati ditengah masyarakat

Abstract

Competition in the micro and small business sector demands the use of effective, informative promotional media that can support increased sales. This study aims to design promotional media for Elmo Shop's product sales based on visual communication design as part of a promotional information system to clarify product information delivery and strengthen the business's identity. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, and literature review. The promotional media design process was conducted using the Luther–Sutopo multimedia development method, which includes the stages of concept, design, material collection, production, testing, and distribution. The research results produced promotional media in the form of business cards, posters, x-banners, and banners that were designed consistently and communicatively. Evaluation using a questionnaire showed that the developed promotional media increased consumer interest and understanding of the product, as well as the effectiveness of Elmo Shop's promotions. Thus, this visual communication design-based promotional media design contributes to supporting the promotional information system and increasing sales potential for micro and small businesses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program praktik kerja lapangan (PKL) yang mencakup: (1) evaluasi aspek masukan/antecedent dalam pelaksanaan program PKL berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka pada konsentrasi keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif di SMK Negeri 1 Toili; (2) evaluasi aspek proses/transaction dalam pelaksanaan program PKL berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka; dan (3) evaluasi aspek hasil/outcome dalam pelaksanaan program PKL berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka yang ditinjau dari kemampuan soft skills, hard skills, dan kemandirian berwirausaha pada konsentrasi keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif di SMK Negeri 1 Toili. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian evaluasi program dengan pendekatan model Stake Countenance. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK N 1 Toili pada konsentrasi keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 35 peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian evaluasi PKL di SMK N 1 Toili menunjukkan: (1) Masukan: Perencanaan PKL cenderung dinilai kurang baik oleh 29% siswa. (2) Proses: 43% siswa cenderung menilai pelaksanaan PKL kurang baik. Kinerja pembimbing cenderung dianggap baik oleh 46% siswa. Pekerjaan yang sesuai keahlian cenderung dinilai sangat baik oleh 34% siswa. (3) Hasil: Soft skills siswa cenderung dipersepsikan dalam kategori baik dan kurang baik dengan persentase 34%. Hard skills cenderung dinilai sangat baik oleh 40% siswa. Kemandirian berwirausaha siswa cenderung dipersepsikan dalam kategori kurang baik dan sangat baik dengan persentase 37%.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the graphic design industry to enhance creativity and innovation. As technology advances, AI is increasingly being used to assist graphic designers in producing faster, more creative, and innovative designs. This study identifies how AI tools such as DALL-E and Canva can be used to simplify the design process, improve the quality of work, and accelerate innovation in graphic design. The results show that the use of AI can improve design efficiency, enrich design variations, and accelerate the process of generating new ideas. However, challenges such as limited creativity and understanding the design context remain issues that designers must overcome.

Abstract

Akar seluang belum (Luvunga sarmentosa (Blume) Kurz.) merupakan tumbuhan asal Kalimantan yang biasa dipercaya oleh masyarakat sekitar sebagai afrodisiaka karena memiliki metabolit sekunder yang bervariasi. Endofit adalah mikroba yang hidup didalam jaringan tumbuhan dan mampu menghasilkan metabolit sekunder yang serupa dengan inangnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis jamur endofit yang dapat diisolasi dari akar seluang belum asal Kabupaten Tabalong, Kalimantan Selatan dan menentukan profil senyawa metabolit sekunder dari jamur endofit akar seluang belum. Identifikasi isolate jamur endofit dilakukan secara mikroskopik dan makroskopik dan isolate jamur endofit dibiakkan selama 14 hari. Profil senyawa sekunder dianalisis dengan GC-MS dan FTIR. Hasil isolasi jamur endofit akar seluang belum didapat 6 isolat yang berbeda. Hasil identifikasi tiga isolate jamur endofit dari 6 spesies jamur endofit yaitu Rhizoctonia solani, Arthrobotrys oligospora Fresenius, dan Phytophthora capsici. Profil GC-MS ekstrak jamur endofit Corynespora citrocola diperoleh 10 senyawa yang berhasil diidentifikasi dan memiliki 15 panjang gelombang dengan 9 macam gugus fungsi yang berbeda. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat beragam jenis jamur endofit yang tumbuh pada akar seluang belum yang memiliki potensi sebagai bahan obat. Kata Kunci: Seluang Belum, Isolasi, Identifikasi, Jamur Endofit, Kromatografi, FTIR, GCMS Luvunga sarmentosa (Blume) Kurz. is a plant from Kalimantan which is commonly believed by local people as an aphrodisiac because it has various secondary metabolites. Endophytes are microbes that live in plant tissues and are able to produce secondary metabolites similar to their host. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of endophytic fungi that could be isolated from the roots of seluang belum yet from Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan and to determine the profile of secondary metabolites from seluang root endophytic fungi. Identification of endophytic fungal isolates was carried out microscopically and macroscopically and endophytic fungal isolates were cultured for 14 days. Secondary compound profiles were analyzed by GC-MS and FTIR. The results of the identification of three isolates of endophytic fungi from 6 species of endophytic fungi, namely Rhizoctonia solani, Arthrobotrys oligospora Fresenius, and Phytophthora capsici. The GC-MS profile of the endophytic fungus Corynespora citrocola extract obtained 10 compounds that were identified and had 15 peaks with 9 different functional groups. Based on this research, it can be concluded that there are various types of endophytic fungi that grow on seluang belum root which have potential as medicinal ingredients.

Abstract

Merdeka Mengajar Platform (MMP) was released to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. While this platform aims to improve teacher competence and learning effectiveness, research into the extent to which English teachers adopt and practice MMP is limited. Therefore, this study aims to analyze English teacher's beliefs and practices in implementing MMP, identify the alignment and misalignment between beliefs and practices, identify the challenges faced, and explore the strategies used in adapting teaching practices to MMP principles. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and analysis of learning documents. The results showed that English teacher has a positive belief in MMP as a useful tool in improving pedagogical skills, facilitating differentiated learning, and enriching teaching methods. However, there were challenges in implementing MMP include low active student participation, limited facility support, and varying levels of teacher understanding of the platform. To overcome these challenges, the English teacher applied strategies such as the use of diverse learning media, differentiated assessments, and intensive communication with parents. The results of this study confirm the need for continuous support in the form of professional training and provision of adequate infrastructure to optimize the use of MMP. Further studies are recommended to examine the long-term impact of MMP on teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes in English language learning.

Abstract

The development of paradigms in education has implications for practices that take place in almost all lines of education, both formal education institutions and informal education institutions, including in special schools. One of the lessons conducted in SLB is the teaching of Braille letters starting from basic Braille teaching, to expert level Braille.In its teaching, especially the teaching of basic Braille writing, tends to use repetition in its teaching. Repetition is intended to reinforce students with visual impairments in mastering the codes in Braille. In this article, the contribution of Thorndike's theory in teaching Braille alphabet letters to students with visual impairments will be explained. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with interview data collection techniques and analyzed descriptively.The results of the research that has been conducted show that Thorndike's Theory has a great contribution in teaching basic Braille letters for students with visual impairments because in teaching it uses repetition in writing the dot codes of the Braille alphabet letters. The repetition aims to make students with visual impairments master the dot codes in the Braille alphabet.

Abstract

Phonological awareness is an essential skill for children to learn to read. Most children with reading difficulties have problems with it. This article was written to describe phonological awareness skills in children with reading difficulties with a descriptive method. There were 31 students with reading difficulties were tested informally. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques and tabulation will define the result of their test. The results showed that there were 25 (81percent) students have problems with phonological awareness. It is indicated almost all students with reading difficulties cannot read with phonological awareness un-mastery. This theme opens up opportunities for further research on phonological awareness of language in primary schools given its importance in teaching reading in schools.
