Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model problem-based learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V UPT SPF SD INPRES BTN IKIP II yang berjumlah 18 siswa, 9 laki-laki dan 9 perempuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentasi keaktifan belajar siswa meningkat mulai dari siklus pertama hingga siklus kedua. Siklus pertama, persentase keaktifan siswa sebesar 60 persen dan pada siklus kedua semakin meningkat menjadi 79 persen. Dari hasil rata-rata pada siklus kedua tampak bahwa keaktifan belajar dan keterlaksanaan Problem Based Learning  terkategori baik karena sama-sama mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL sangat cocok untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas V UPT SPF SD INPRES BTN IKIP II

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers at SD Inpres Timbuseng in implementing a Child-Friendly School (CFS) curriculum based on a positive school culture. The program was initiated in response to preliminary findings showing that teachers had not fully understood the principles of CFS, had yet to apply empathetic communication, and had not integrated positive values into their teaching materials. The program was carried out using a transformative participatory approach through four stages: needs identification, training and workshops, implementation assistance, and reflective evaluation. One of the main approaches introduced was positive discipline, a pedagogical strategy that emphasizes dialogue, appreciation, and logical consequences to build a non-violent, positive school culture. The program results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of the CFS curriculum (from 62.5% to 88.3%), the development of child-friendly teaching materials, and changes in classroom teaching practices through the implementation of positive discipline supported by empathetic and reflective communication strategies. Teachers actively participated in all stages of the program, and the principal provided full support for its implementation. The program has implications for improving the quality of inclusive and participatory learning environments and opens opportunities for replication and further development through teacher learning communities and supportive school policies. Thus, this PKM program makes a concrete contribution to the creation of child-friendly schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Take and Give type on the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Tinambung, Polewali Mandar Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class VA as the control group and class VB as the experimental group, each comprising 18 students. The results of this study indicate that the Take and Give learning model has an effect on students’ IPAS learning outcomes, as seen from the increase in the average scores based on descriptive analysis. Furthermore, inferential analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-test revealed a significant effect on IPAS learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the research conducted in grade V at SDN 001 Tinambung shows that: (1) the implementation of the learning process using the Take and Give learning model in grade V at SDN 001 Tinambung was carried out effectively at each stage and categorized as very good; (2) the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Tinambung, Polewali Mandar Regency, after the application of the Take and Give learning model reached a very good category; and (3) the Take and Give learning model has a significant effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Tinambung, Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus, which has taken place since 2019, has resulted in several activities that are usually carried out in person or face to face to go online. The transition from offline learning to online learning requires teachers or students to have supporting tools to connect. This study aimed to analyze online learning supporting tools and student achievement and determine the effect of online learning supporting tools on student achievement at SD Negeri 12 Malacca during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study uses ex-post facto techniques and a quantitative approach. Participants in this trial were students of grades IV, V, and VI, totaling 30 students. Purposive sampling was used to collect samples for this study. The information collected is through surveys and documentation. Before the data analysis test, prerequisite analysis tests, normality, and linearity tests were first carried out. The results of the normality test show that the data is normally distributed. Then, the results of the linearity test show that there is a direct correlation between student achievement and online learning support tools. Based on the hypothesis test results, it was found that the online learning supporting tools variable significantly influenced the student achievement variable. It was concluded that online learning supporting tools could improve student achievement.

Abstract

This study is an experimental research aimed at determining the effect of the use of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model and electronic media Educaplay on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MIS Al Bashirah Makassar City. This study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of 90 students, with samples from class VD (24 students) and class VC (23 students). Data collection techniques were carried out through teacher observation and learning outcome tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study obtained are: 1) The use of the TGT model was categorized as very good; 2) The use of Educaplay electronic media was also categorized as very good; 3) The mathematics learning outcomes of students in the experimental class were in the high category; and 4) There was an effect of using the TGT-type cooperative learning model and Educaplay electronic media on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MIS Al Bashirah Makassar City.

Abstract

This study employed a literature review method aimed at examining the effect of developing animation-based digital learning media on improving elementary school students' interest in learning. Animation-based learning media has emerged as an educational innovation capable of creating a more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment. The study was conducted by collecting and analyzing relevant scientific journal articles published within the last five years. The findings indicate that the use of animation-based media can enhance students' motivation, attention, and interest during the learning process. Furthermore, animation media helps students understand learning materials more effectively through attractive visual displays, audio elements, and moving images. In addition, the implementation of animation-based digital media enables teachers to create more creative and innovative learning experiences, encouraging students to participate actively in classroom activities. Therefore, the development of animation-based digital learning media is highly important for implementation in elementary school education.

Abstract

This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The define stage involved analyzing learning needs, student characteristics, tasks, and concepts. The design stage focused on developing assessment instruments, selecting appropriate formats, and designing Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based learning activities. The develop stage included expert validation, product revision, and limited trials conducted with fifth-grade students. Finally, the disseminate stage involved the limited distribution and implementation of the developed worksheets. The findings revealed that the HOTS-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) were valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The developed worksheets encouraged active student participation, promoted analytical thinking, and connected learning content to real-life contexts. This study contributes to the development of innovative instructional materials that align with the demands of 21st-century learning and provides practical implications for enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model pembelajaran Visual, Auditori, dan Kinestetik (VAK), gambaran motivasi belajar siswa, serta pengaruh model tersebut terhadap motivasi belajar IPAS siswa kelas V di SD Bina Kasih Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental dengan bentuk one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 12 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan melalui tahap pretest, pemberian perlakuan menggunakan model VAK, dan posttest. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk melihat gambaran umum serta statistik inferensial untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model VAK berlangsung sangat baik berdasarkan hasil observasi. Selain itu, motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah penerapan model tersebut, yang terlihat dari meningkatnya jumlah siswa pada kategori sedang dan tinggi. Hasil uji hipotesis juga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari penggunaan model VAK terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Visual, Auditori, dan Kinestetik (VAK) efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPAS siswa kelas V di SD Bina Kasih Makassar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low narrative writing skills of fourth-grade students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Galangan Kapal I Makassar City. This study aims to describe the application of video-assisted mind mapping method in improving students' narrative writing skills. The study used a qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) type which was implemented in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were teachers and 28 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of observations showed that teacher activity increased from the sufficient category at the beginning of cycle I to the good category at the end of cycle II. The results of observations of student activity also increased from the sufficient category to the good category. In addition, the results of the student narrative writing skills test increased from 54% in cycle I to 86% in cycle II. Thus, the application of video-assisted mind mapping method can improve the narrative writing skills of fourth-grade students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Galangan Kapal I Makassar City. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SD Inpres Galangan Kapal I Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode mind mapping berbantuan video dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dimana setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan 28 siswa kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru meningkat dari kategori cukup pada awal siklus I menjadi kategori baik pada akhir siklus II. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari kategori cukup menjadi kategori baik. Selain itu, hasil tes keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa meningkat dari 54% pada siklus I menjadi 86% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode mind mapping berbantuan video dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SD Inpres Galangan Kapal I Kota Makassar.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the internal barriers, external barriers, and needs of elementary school teachers in integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and Educulture (culture-based education) in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, involving 30 teachers and 5 principals from 7 elementary schools in Makassar City. Quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire measuring three dimensions (internal barriers, external barriers, and teacher needs), while qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with principals. The results showed that the highest internal barrier was teachers' lack of understanding of how to integrate STEAM with local wisdom (73%), while motivational aspects were at the lowest level (33%). The highest external barriers were the unavailability of integrated teaching module examples (87%), time constraints (83%), and the lack of practical training (80%). The most urgent teacher needs were integrated teaching module examples (48%) and practical training (30%). This study concludes that teachers are mentally ready but instrumentally unprepared, requiring interventions in the form of concrete examples, practice-based training, continuous mentoring, and strengthening cross-sector collaboration between education offices, universities, and local communities.
