Abstract

firm value. This research has been carried out on 21 samples manufacturing companies which are listed inIndonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2015 periods. The analysis has been conducted by using multiple linearregressions analysis, F test, and t test.Based on the result of this research, it has been found that financialperformance has significant and positive influence to the firm value. The existence of significant influence iscaused by the financial performance shows good prospect, so these stocks will be attractive to the investorstherefore the firm value will increase. Firm size does not have any significant influence to the firm value becausefirm size is in line with its business risk, when the firm size is getting large; the business risk is getting large aswell. The investment decision has significant and positive influence to the firm value because high PER will givea description that the company is health and has a well growth, so that the firm value will increase in front of theinvestors.Investors and potential investors are suggested to pay attention to financial statement as theconsideration in making correct and profitable investment decision.Keywords : Financial performance, firm size, investment decision, firm value.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to examine the perception of accounting students about some factors which have influence to the selection of career. The Perception of the students is measured by using salary, professional training, professional recognition, social values, work environment, labor market and personality consideration.This research is quantitative research. The data collection is carried out by issuing questionnaires to the accounting undergraduate students of STIESIA in Surabaya class of 2011 and 2012. The sample collection technique has been done by using purposive sampling. So, 91 respondents have been selected as samples. The data analysis has been performed by using multivariate analysis which is done by using one way anova and the SPSS 20 version.Based on the result of hypothesis test it can be concluded that there is difference of perception of students about the selection of career when it is reviewed from salary factor, professional training, professional recognition, social values, work environment, and labor market consideration. Meanwhile, when it is reviewed from personality factor there is no difference of perception of students.Keyword : career selection, accounting, and work environment

Abstract

The timeliness of the submissionof financial statement is an important thing, because the information in the financial statement is used by the user in decision making. When financial statement is submitted immediatelly, the information in the financial statement becomes useful, and the user of financial statement can makea better decisionfromboth aspectseither quality or time. This research is meant to test some factors which influence to the timeliness of the submission of financial statement of manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The factors which are tested in this research are profitability, audit opinion, firm size, and firm age.The samples in this research are manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2010-2014 periods. The data in this research is the secondary data and the sample selection has been carried out by using purposive sampling method. Analysis instrument has been done by using multiple linear regressions analysis with the significance level is 5%. The samples are 65 companies with five yearobservation periods so that 325 observation objects have been selected.The result of this research shows that profitability, audit opinion, firm size, and firm age do not have any influence to the timeliness of the submission of financial statement of manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).Keywords: timeliness, profitability, audit opinion, firm size, firm age.

Abstract

Intellectual capital is a concept in assessing financial performance that is quite developed in recentyears. However,there are some companies which have not reported of intangible assets in the form of intellectualcapital, particularly the human capital which has contribution in the making of competitive advantage inwinning the tight competition. The purpose of this research is to test the influence of intellectual capital to theprofitability and the productivity of the company. The population is all companies which are incorporated in theLQ45 index in the 2010-2014 periods. The samples have been selected by using purposive sampling technique so17 companies in the LQ45 which meets the criteria have been selected. The analysis technique has been done byusing the simple regressions analysis. The result of the test shows that the intellectual capital does not have anyinfluence to the profitability of the company. It occurs because of the magnitude of the intellectual capital whichis measured by using the burden of the employees does not becomethe assurance of the magnitude of theperformance of the employees, so the burden of the employees will increase, but the net profit does not show anysignificant changes. Meanwhile, the intellectual capital has positive influence to the productivity. It means thatthe enhancement of the intellectual capital gives benefit to the company and it becomes the potential element inincreasing the productivity of the company.Keywords: Intellectual Capital, Profitability, Productivity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis terhadapstruktur modal dengan pengendalian manajemen sebagai variabel moderating melalui laporankeuangan yang telah disusun oleh perusahaan property dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa EfekIndonesia. Ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis diproksikan dengan Ln Total Aktiva dan Return onEquity, struktur modal yang diproksikan dengan Debt to Asset Ratio, serta pengendalian manajemenyang diproksikan dengan Debt to Equity Ratio. Sampel penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakanmetode purposive sampling yakni pemilihan sampel dengan kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditentukanyang menghasilkan sampel sebanyak 42 perusahaan property dan real estate yang terdaftar di BursaEfek Indonesia selama periode 2013-2016. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahModerated Regression Analysis (MRA).  Hasil pengujian regresi menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruhpengendalian manajemen terhadap hubungan ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis dengan strukturmodal. Nilai koefisien regresi menunjukkan nilai yang positif, hal ini menandakan bahwapengendalian manajemen memperkuat pengaruh ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis terhadapstruktur modal.Kata Kunci: Ukuran Perusahaan, Risiko Bisnis, Pengendalian Manajemen,  Struktur Modal

Abstract

This research is meant to test the influence of profitability, firm size, and ownership structure to the firm value.The population of this research is pharmaceutical companies which are listed in the IDX. Profitability has beenmeasured by using Return on asset; firm size has been measured by using total asset; and ownership structuralhas been measured by using the amount of stock ownership, whereas the firm value is based on the stock price.The research samples are pharmaceutical companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in2011-2014 periods and these companies have been selected by using purposive sampling. 8 pharmaceuticalcompanies have been selected as samples. The source of secondary data has been obtained from IndonesianCapital Market Directory and Indonesia Stock Exchange Corner and the official website of Indonesia StockExchange i.e. www.idx.co.id. The analysis method has been carried out by using multiple linear regressionsanalysis. The result of this research shows that profitability, firm size, managerial ownership, domesticinstitution ownership, foreign institution ownership and public ownership have significant influence to the firmvalue.Keywords: Profitability, firm size, ownership structure, firm value.

Abstract

This research is meant to examine the influence of the provision of other services i.e: audit service, the length of the relationship between the audit and its client, the size of public accountant office, the competition among public accountant office to the independency of auditor. Abstract

Pajak merupakan sumber utama dalam kegiatan pembiayaan pemerintah dan pembangunan negara. Salah satu kendala yang dapat menghambat penerimaan pajak yang optimal adalah kepatuhan wajib pajak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kualitas pelayanan, sanksi perpajakan, biaya kepatuhan pajak, dan penerapan e-filing terhadap kepatuhan pelaporan wajib pajak orang pribadi di Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wajib pajak orang pribadi yang terdaftar pada Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat asosiatif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 responden dengan metode penentuan sampelnya adalah accidental sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala likert 1 sampai 5. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan, sanksi perpajakan, biaya kepatuhan pajak, dan penerapan e-filing berpengaruh positif terhadap kepatuhan pelaporan wajib pajak orang pribadi.Kata kunci: Kualitas Pelayanan, Sanksi Perpajakan, Biaya Kepatuhan Pajak, Penerapan e-Filing, Kepatuhan Pelaporan Wajib Pajak

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is meant to examine (1) the influence of capital structure to the firm value, (2) the influence of probability to the firm value (3) the influence of growth opportunity to the firm value (4) the influence of liquidity influence to firm value.This research is a casual comparative research (causal-comparative research). The research population is manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2011-2015 periods. The sample has been determined by using purposive sampling and predetermined criteria, so that 18 companies (90 firm year) which have fulfilled criteria have been obtained as samples. The data has been obtained from Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and through the STIESIA Surabaya investment gallery Indonesia stock exchange Surabaya. The data analysis technique has been carried out by using classic assumption test, multiple regression and hypothesis test.The result of the research shows that based on the model feasibility the variavles of capital structure, profitability, growth opportunity, and liquidity have been obtained and give significant influence to the firm value, it also shows that the influence of independent variables, can explain the variety of firm value. Meanwhile, the result of hypothesis test has proven that; 1)Capital structure has significant and positive influence to the firm value; 2)Profitability has significant and positive influence to the firm value; 3) Growth opportunity has significant and positive influence to the firm value; 4) Liquidity has significant and positive influence to the firm value Keywords: Capital structure, profitability, growth opportunity, liquidity, firm value

Abstract

This researchis meant to examine the influence of asset structure, firm size and liquidity to the capital structureof automotive companies. The population is all automotive companies which are listed in Indonesia StockExchange andthe samplesare 10 automotive companies and 5 years of observation. The data is done by usingsecondary data i.e. financial statements of automotive companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The hypothesistest is done by using multiple regressionsmethod. The result of the research shows that assets structure, firmsize and liquidity have significant influenceto the capital structure.Assets structure has significant and positiveinfluenceto the capital structure; this suggests that assets structure of the company have a direct influenceto thecapital structure because assets structure of the company is theassurance. The firm size has significant andpositive influenceto the capital structure, it shows that a large size companies are tend to use more debt, thus itwill increase the capital structure. And liquidity has significant and positive influenceto the capital structure; itdescribes the ability of the company to pay its short term liability by using its current assets.Keywords:Assets Structure, Firm Size, Liquidity, and Capital Structure
