Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the principal's instructional leadership strategy in improving academic quality in schools based on special programs. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method at SMP Muhammadiyah Program Khusus. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The results showed that the instructional leadership strategy was carried out through three main pillars: (1) formulating a specific academic mission and vision by setting special program achievement indicators; (2) implementing academic supervision based on clinical mentoring to improve teachers' pedagogical competence; and (3) creating a conducive learning climate through the integration of technology and a culture of achievement. These findings indicate that the success of improving academic quality highly depends on the principal's ability to synergize national curriculum standards with the school's flagship programs. This research provides a theoretical contribution to instructional leadership models in faith-based private schools.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires school principals to exercise adaptive and transformative instructional leadership. This study aims to examine the instructional leadership practices of school principals in facing curriculum implementation challenges at SMK Negeri 2 Karanganyar. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving principals, vice principals, teachers, and students. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman model with stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the principal implements transformational leadership focusing on teacher empowerment, curriculum knowledge enhancement, and innovative learning practice development. Challenges encountered include teacher resistance to change, limited pedagogical competence, and infrastructure constraints. Strategies developed encompass mentoring systems, learning technology optimization, strategic partnerships, and dialogic leadership involving active stakeholder participation. Effective instructional leadership proves capable of accelerating curriculum transformation despite facing organizational complexity challenges.

Abstract

General Background: The cultivation of moral and religious values is a critical component of early education, particularly in faith-based institutions. Specific Background: Muhammadiyah Elementary School 13 Makam Bergola emphasizes religious habituation as part of its character education agenda. Knowledge Gap: However, limited studies have examined how structured school programs integrate with home environments to sustain value-based education. Aims: This study aims to explore the implementation and effectiveness of moral and religious value habituation at the school through a descriptive qualitative approach involving interviews with teachers, students, and parents. Results: Findings reveal that six core indicators—religious habituation, worship practices, praying, polite behavior, positive conduct, and greeting etiquette—are effectively embedded in daily school routines through strategies such as routine programming, teacher modeling, and reward systems. Novelty: The study highlights the innovative integration of parenting education and home-school collaboration to address the inconsistency of value practice between school and home environments.Implications: These results underscore the necessity of a holistic, school-family partnership model for sustainable moral and religious development in elementary education. Abstract

Optimal nutritional fulfillment is a crucial factor in supporting the development of elementary school students, both in terms of health and learning readiness. One national policy designed to address this issue is the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG). This study aims to analyze the role of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) in supporting the development of elementary school students and identify key findings and implementation challenges based on a literature review. This study used a qualitative approach with a literature review method on 20 relevant scientific articles published in the last five years and obtained through the Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA databases. The study results indicate that the MBG Program contributes positively to fulfilling students' nutritional needs, improving concentration and learning readiness, cognitive development, learning motivation, and character building and healthy lifestyle habits. However, the implementation of the MBG Program still faces various challenges, particularly related to the readiness of facilities and infrastructure, human resources, and program sustainability. Therefore, strengthening cross-sectoral coordination and a continuous monitoring system is needed so that the benefits of the MBG Program can be optimized in supporting the quality of basic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam membangun budaya literasi kitab suci, implementasinya, serta dampaknya terhadap kualitas pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 1 Gemolong. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru pendidikan agama, wali kelas, dan siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kepala sekolah menerapkan kepemimpinan spiritual dan transformasional melalui penerbitan regulasi internal, keteladanan, dan penyediaan fasilitas inklusif bagi seluruh agama; (2) Budaya literasi kitab suci diimplementasikan melalui pembiasaan 15 menit sebelum jam pelajaran pertama yang dipantau melalui buku kendali digital; (3) Budaya literasi ini berdampak signifikan pada kualitas pembelajaran, ditandai dengan peningkatan regulasi emosi siswa, penurunan tingkat pelanggaran disiplin, dan terciptanya iklim kelas yang kondusif yang bermuara pada peningkatan konsentrasi akademik. Tantangan berupa inkonsistensi motivasi siswa diatasi melalui pendekatan coaching dan pelibatan orang tua. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelembagaan program ini dalam kebijakan pendidikan karakter di tingkat daerah.

Abstract

Perkembangan era digital membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap perilaku sosial peserta didik, terutama dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi dan media sosial. Kemudahan akses informasi memberikan peluang besar bagi pengembangan pembelajaran, namun sekaligus menghadirkan berbagai tantangan seperti degradasi moral, penyebaran hoaks, cyberbullying, serta rendahnya etika digital. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya penguatan karakter melalui pembiasaan nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai landasan moral dan etika dalam berinteraksi di ruang digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pembiasaan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam memperkuat karakter peserta didik sebagai filter etika di era digital. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik studi literatur terhadap berbagai jurnal nasional yang membahas pendidikan karakter dan implementasi nilai Pancasila di sekolah dasar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan nilai Pancasila yang dilakukan melalui budaya sekolah, keteladanan guru, integrasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn), serta aktivitas digital berbasis karakter mampu menumbuhkan sikap religius, tanggung jawab, toleransi, kemampuan literasi digital, serta etika bermedia sosial pada peserta didik. Internalisasi nilai Pancasila secara berkelanjutan terbukti menjadi benteng moral dalam menghadapi disrupsi teknologi dan arus informasi global. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa nilai Pancasila tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai identitas bangsa, tetapi juga sebagai sistem etika digital bagi generasi muda. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat dalam menguatkan pendidikan karakter berbasis Pancasila secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka menempatkan penguatan karakter sebagai salah satu tujuan utama pendidikan, termasuk pengembangan karakter mandiri melalui Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Namun, berbagai tuntutan administratif yang menyertai implementasi kurikulum berpotensi memengaruhi efektivitas proses pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam mengintegrasikan karakter mandiri di tengah beban administrasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah 2. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mengalami ketegangan antara pelaksanaan tugas administratif dan kebutuhan pendampingan karakter siswa. Tingginya intensitas pelaporan digital dan penyusunan dokumen pembelajaran berkontribusi terhadap berkurangnya waktu interaksi pedagogis yang bermakna. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi melahirkan fenomena paper-based character, yaitu penilaian karakter yang lebih berorientasi pada kelengkapan dokumen daripada perubahan perilaku peserta didik. Meskipun demikian, kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah yang suportif, penguatan komunitas belajar, dan penyederhanaan sistem administrasi terbukti mampu mengurangi tekanan administratif sehingga guru dapat lebih fokus pada pembinaan karakter mandiri siswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya keseimbangan antara akuntabilitas administrasi dan esensi pendidikan karakter dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character development of elementary school students in the digital era through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines on articles published between 2022 and 2026, sourced from Scopus, ERIC, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. A total of 34 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed comprehensively. The findings indicate that the digital era offers significant opportunities for character development, particularly in responsibility, independence, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. The use of digital technology, social media, learning platforms, and artificial intelligence can effectively support character internalization when implemented appropriately. However, the digital era also presents challenges, including exposure to negative content, reduced face-to-face social interaction, increasing individualism, and the risk of moral degradation. Teachers, parents, and schools play essential roles in optimizing character education within digital environments. Strong collaboration among families, schools, and adaptive technology utilization is necessary to foster a generation that is morally grounded, digitally literate, and well-prepared to face the challenges of the twenty-first century wisely, responsibly, and ethically.
