Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials taught at Tadika Bijak Lestari Penang, Malaysia, determine their effectiveness, and determine which variables support or hinder efforts to increase students' intrinsic learning desires. The research location was Tadika Bijak Lestari in Malaysia. Using in-depth interviews with the principal and class instructors as data sources, this qualitative technique employed a case study approach. Participants could be observed, interviews could be conducted, and notes could be kept as data collection techniques. According to this study, the learning strategies used were lectures, memorization, and basic interactive activities. However, research shows that student interest and engagement in learning are negatively impacted by the prevalence of lecture techniques. The availability of adequate educational facilities and certain student learning motivations are factors that facilitate the implementation of learning, but limited diversity of approaches and teachers' difficulties in adapting learning strategies are inhibiting factors. This study shows that Tadika Bijak Lestari Malaysia has successfully implemented various Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching strategies effectively. To achieve progress in this area, new approaches to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that are more creative, flexible, and contextual are needed. By adapting creative techniques to the needs of early childhood, it is hoped that this will increase their enthusiasm for learning, which in turn will make the Islamic Religious Education learning process more relevant in building religious values and holistic personality.

Abstract

Digital-based learning models have become an innovation in education, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital-based learning models in enhancing students' understanding of Aqidah concepts. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The research subjects consisted of secondary school students divided into an experimental group using digital learning models and a control group using conventional methods. Data were collected through pre- and post-intervention Aqidah understanding tests and student perception questionnaires regarding the use of technology in learning. The study results indicate a significant improvement in the understanding of Aqidah concepts in the experimental group compared to the control group. Additionally, students who learned with the digital learning model demonstrated higher levels of motivation and engagement. These findings suggest that implementing digital-based learning models can be an effective alternative to improving Aqidah learning quality.

Abstract

Students' interest in learning jurisprudence in class XI is often still low, resulting in a less optimal learning process and understanding of the material. This problem is caused by learning methods that are less interesting and less actively involving students. To overcome this, this research examines the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method as an alternative learning strategy that solves problems collaboratively. The Poblem Based Learning method is applied by giving students real problems that must be solved and solved in groups, thus creating an active and participatory learning atmosphere. Data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation during the learning process. Data analysis is done descriptively to understand changes in students' interest in learning in depth. The results of the research show that the application of Poblem Based Learning can significantly increase students' interest in learning, as evidenced by the high participation, enthusiasm, and positive response of students during jurisprudence learning. This finding confirms that the Problem Based Learning method is effective in motivating and increasing student engagement, as well as enriching the learning experience in jurisprudence subjects.

Abstract

The learning of the Qur’an and Hadith plays an important role in shaping students’ noble character (akhlaq karimah). This study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur’an and Hadith learning at MA Rohani Ikhwanul Muslimin in fostering students’ character development. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis & McTaggart model through the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learning strategies combining intracurricular activities, daily worship practices, and religious extracurricular activities were effective in fostering students’ honesty, discipline, tolerance, and social awareness. This success was supported by teachers’ role modeling, the integration of moral values into the curriculum, and a religious school culture, although there were still obstacles such as limited time, family background, and the influence of social media. In conclusion, Qur’an and Hadith learning not only serves as a transfer of knowledge but also as a strategic instrument in shaping students’ noble character to face modern challenges based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study is intended to examine the approaches applied by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in improving the quality of learning in schools with a full day school system. The background of this research stems from the central role of PAI in shaping students’ personality, noble character, and religious values, as well as practical challenges in the field such as limited strategies, media constraints, and intensive school activities. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation at SMA Yayasan Perguruan Istiqomah Islamic Full Day School. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, while validity was ensured through triangulation and member checks. The findings indicate that PAI teachers applied diverse methods, integrated Islamic values into the curriculum, utilized simple digital media, implemented religious habituation, and provided role modeling. Supporting factors include school commitment, parental involvement, and student motivation, while the main obstacles are tight schedules, student fatigue, and limited technological facilities. This study emphasizes the importance of varied, interactive, contextual, and digitally adaptive PAI learning strategies to strengthen the internalization of Islamic values and foster increased student learning motivation.
