Abstract

In the Society 5.0 era which is marked by digital transformation and paradigm changes in education, research on models for increasing lecturer job satisfaction is becoming increasingly important. During this transformation, lecturer job satisfaction not only impacts individual performance but also has the potential to influence organizational citizenship behavior and overall teacher performance. This study aims to analyze the antecedents and consequences of lecturer job satisfaction and their impact on organizational citizenship behavior. This study used a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM analysis. This study used a sampling technique, namely probability sampling with proportional cluster stratified random sampling so that the acquisition of samples amounted to 120 lecturers. The results of the data analysis confirm that work discipline and motivation have no significant effect on lecturer job satisfaction. Compensation has a significant effect on lecturer job satisfaction. Lecturer job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Lecturer job satisfaction has a significant effect on teacher performance. This study concludes that the process of fostering and developing lecturers is an activity the university must carry out to adapt to changes and developments. Universities must evaluate the level of lecturer job satisfaction and lecturer performance to encourage more competitive tertiary performance. The implication of this study states that lecturers who are satisfied with their work tend to have high motivation and are committed to providing quality teaching. Lecturers who are satisfied with their jobs tend to be more likely to engage in OCB.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology corresponds to the development of humans who increasingly need technology to facilitate their business. Currently, in addition to business development, the development of mobile games has also experienced a significant increase in terms of the number of users. The increasingly rapid development of game enthusiasts has an impact on the behavior of generation Z and the millennial generation in choosing the quality of the games they want. The main objective of this research is to analyze the determinants of mobile game adoption among Generation Z and Millennials. The study tool was an online survey that was given to 210 participants, all of whom were Millennial and Generation Z players of mobile game services. The researchers then put the theory to the test by utilizing the Partial Least Square (PLS) type of structural equation modeling (SEM) and the SmartPLS version 3.0 program to examine it. The study's findings demonstrate that perceived enjoyment, perceived ease of use, and habit have a significant and positive impact on usage intention. The managerial implications of this research conclude that one of the biggest effects of playing games service is to make people happy. Of course they feel happy because when they play games, they don't feel the pressures of life. As if they are in another world that makes them the main character.

Abstract

The effectiveness of organizations and companies is correlated with human capital performance. Therefore, we require the use of human capital performance as a benchmark for organizations and companies to achieve the vision and mission together. Later, the benchmark will serve as a basis for policymaking on the future maintenance and improvement of human capital performance. This research aims to find out the stimulants that affect the human capital performance of private employees. The quantitative causality approach is used in this study to answer the formulation of research problems and research hypotheses. Next, the researcher tested the hypothesis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on a variant called Partial Least Square (PLS) and the SmartPLS version 3.0 application as a tool to analyze it. The results of this research conclude that six hypotheses that examine the direct effect of self-leadership, organizational justice, and work environment on work satisfaction obtain positive and significant results. Then self-leadership, teamwork management, and work satisfaction on human capital performance also obtained positive and significant results. In addition, the results of this research also confirm the positive and significant mediating effect of work satisfaction on the indirect impact of self-leadership, organizational justice, and work environment on human capital performance. For further research, the author recommends further researchers develop variables that are suspected to be the main predictors to encourage work satisfaction and human capital performance to provide complete recommendations regarding the development of human resource performance, especially for millennial workers. This study presents a research model related to human capital performance regarding self-leadership, teamwork management, and work satisfaction and the contribution of self-leadership, organizational justice, and work environment to work satisfaction.

Abstract

Factors that encourage job satisfaction include the application of transformational leadership from a leader in the company. The existence of cultural diversity also contributes to the level of employee job satisfaction. Then the implementation of organizational commitment is also essential to increase employee satisfaction at work. This study deals with the antecedents and consequences of employee work satisfaction, including transformational leadership, culture diversity, and organizational commitment as antecedents and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and employee performance as a consequence. The research instrument used a questionnaire distributed to 280 employees who worked in cigarette factories and tapioca flour factories in Pematangsiantar City. For data analysis, this research uses the Smart PLS application with the PLS-SEM approach oriented. This research concludes that transformational leadership and culture diversity has a significant impact on work satisfaction. On the other hand, the results of this research also conclude that organizational commitment does not significantly impact work satisfaction. Furthermore, this research also confirms that work satisfaction significantly affects organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and employee performance. Then this study was only carried out in one city so that no specific data comparison could be obtained and only focused on the use of transformational leadership variables, culture diversity, work satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, and employee performance. The novelty presented from this research explains that although most employees have different cultural backgrounds if supported by a fair and wise application of transformational leadership, it will encourage job satisfaction.

Abstract

MSMEs in the tourism sector play an important role in business development and continue to contribute to economic strength and social development in various countries, one of which is Indonesia, and support each other and contribute to generating foreign exchange for the country. The euphoria of the world community has caused tourism visits to increase, especially after Indonesia officially hosted World Tourism Day or World Tourism Day 2022, which had the impact of becoming increasingly well-known to the tourism sector, especially Samosir Regency. This research took a population of 462 MSMEs in Samosir Regency with a sampling technique, namely cluster random sampling with a sample size of 150 MSMEs in 2 Districts of Samosir Regency. Data sources include secondary data originating from relevant agencies and primary data directly from business actors. Data collection techniques use interview documentation and questionnaires. The research results showed that the influence of Go-digitalization and transformational leadership was positive and significant on competitive strategies for MSME actors in the Tourism and Creative Economy sectors of Samosir Regency. The development of digital technology is increasingly rapid, especially after the pandemic disaster. This also encourages community actors to shop online. It's no wonder that electronic trading platforms are selling well as people's choice for shopping and transactions. MSME digital acceleration is carried out to build competitiveness so that MSMEs can be stronger. Transformational leadership is the process of mobilizing all one's abilities to influence, move, direct other people. Transformational leadership is a process of mobilizing all one's abilities to influence, move and direct other people. The suggestion from this research is government support to encourage and provide assistance to business actors so they are able to compete with other tourism industries. One form of support is for the government to provide space for learning to realize technological literacy through outreach and training to business actors. Then we need to utilize new marketing strategies, actively producing goods that consumers can buy directly for the types of products that are currently on the rise during the pandemic.
