Abstract

Short circuit fault current in the electric power system is one of the problems that can threaten the reliability and safety of system operations. This disturbance, which occurs due to direct contact between phases or between phases and ground, produces significant currents and can damage network equipment if not handled with adequate protection. This study aims to analyze and calculate short circuit fault currents in the electric power system using MATLAB and Simulink software . In this study, the electric power system model is simulated with various types of disturbances, namely three- phase , two -phase , and single -phase to ground disturbances , to determine the system response and the magnitude of the current that occurs. Power system parameter data such as voltage, component impedance, and load conditions are used as input in the modeling. The “ Three-Phase” block Fault ” in Simulink is used to implement a fault at a specific point in the system. The simulation results show that the magnitude of the fault current varies depending on the type of fault and the line impedance. With this analysis, system designers can determine the appropriate protection equipment, such as circuit breakers and relays , to prevent damage and maintain the stability of system operation. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of MATLAB as a simulation tool in power system fault analysis, providing practical and accurate solutions in fault current calculations.

Abstract

The decreasing availability of agricultural land due to urbanization threatens farmers' income and agricultural sustainability. Hydroponic cultivation offers a solution by maximizing limited land, especially in urban areas. However, challenges in managing nutrients and watering systems remain a key research focus to enhance hydroponic efficiency and support environmental sustainability and food security. This research aims to control water flow, watering, and nutrition based on a schedule regulated by the RTC DS3231 and to manage the water volume in the reservoir using the HC-SR04 sensor. Based on data analysis and testing, it is concluded that the system operates effectively, regulating water flow from 08:00 to 17:00 at a flow rate of 0.001464 m³/s, watering pests at 09:00 and 17:00 for 5 minutes at a flow rate of 0.0016 m³/s, providing nutrients every three days at noon for 2 minutes at a flow rate of 0.0007917 m³/s, and managing water volume in the reservoir between a minimum of 92% and a maximum of 97%, with a total capacity of 5,214 liters. This system works well, allowing the owner/farmer to only monitor the hydroponic plants.

Abstract

Transformator arus merupakan komponen pokok dalam peralatan pengukuran dan proteksi yang berfungsi melindungi relay khususnya pada industri yang memakai tegangan tinggi maupun rendah. Pemeliharaan dan pengujian yang baik sangat diperlukan agar trafo arus menjadi lebih baik dari segi umur dan kualitasnya. Untuk itu, diperlukan pemeriksaan dan pengujian trafo arus termasuk tingkat error-nya saat diproduksi ataupun saat pemakaian secara rutin agar terus terpantau kualitasnya. Studi ini menyajikan komparasi hasil pengukuran trafo arus menggunakan alat ukur Omicron CPC 100 untuk pengukuran tingkat error trafo arus dengan tegangan 24 kV dengan persentase injeksi arus 100%, 50%, dan 25%. Trafo arus yang diuji adalah trafo arus seri 17CI00020. Selanjutnya hasil pemeriksaan dan pengujian tersebut dibandingkan dengan standar yang berlaku. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa trafo arus yang diuji memiliki tingkat error yang sesuai dengan standar SPLN D3.014-1: 2009 dengan kelas akurasi 0,2. Pada pengujian trafo arus dengan injeksi 100% memiliki tingkat error yang paling baik yaitu 0%. Sedangkan pengujian dengan injeksi arus 50% dan 25% memiliki tingkat error lebih tinggi yaitu masing-masing 0,18% dan 0,29%.

Abstract

Motor vehicle tax is a major source of Regional Original Income (PAD). However, the level of motor vehicle tax payment compliance in North Aceh Regency is still suboptimal, particularly related to late payments. A data-driven approach is needed to predict and understand taxpayer compliance patterns more accurately. This study aims to compare the performance of the Logistic Regression and Random Forest methods in predicting motor vehicle tax payment compliance, as well as to identify factors that influence taxpayer compliance behavior at the North Aceh Samsat (Sat). This study uses secondary data in the form of motor vehicle tax payment transactions at the North Aceh Samsat for the 2022–2024 period, totaling 100,000 observations. The response variable is the tax payment compliance status (compliant and non-compliant), while the predictor variables include vehicle age, type of ownership, vehicle type, and vehicle brand. The data is divided into 70% training data and 30% testing data. The performance evaluation model is conducted using accuracy, precision, recall, and Area Under Curve (AUC) metrics. The analysis results show that Random Forest has better predictive performance than Logistic Regression, with higher accuracy and AUC values. Vehicle age and type of ownership are the most influential variables in predicting tax payment compliance, while vehicle brand has a relatively smaller influence. Logistic Regression provides a clear interpretation of the variable relationship, but has lower discrimination ability than Random Forest. Random Forest has proven to be more effective as a prediction model for motor vehicle tax payment compliance at the North Aceh Samsat. The application of machine learning-based predictive models has the potential to support more targeted policy making in an effort to improve motor vehicle tax payment compliance, especially in reducing late payments.

Abstract

Beef prices in the market tend to experience unpredictable changes influenced by various factors, such as consumer demand and feed costs. This instability can make it difficult for business actors and farmers to determine the right pricing strategy. This study aims to build a beef price prediction system using the multiple linear regression method with input variables in the form of the amount of demand and feed costs. Data were obtained from the National Food Price Panel and processed using a statistical approach to form a predictive model. The Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value is used as an indicator of model accuracy. The model results are then implemented into a website-based application using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. This application allows users to enter input data and get real-time price prediction results. With this system, it is expected to help farmers, traders, and policy makers in making more accurate and efficient decisions based on historical data. This system can also be further developed by adding other related variables to increase the level of accuracy of beef price predictions.

Abstract

Indonesia has many oil palm plantation areas. One of the negative impacts is the large amount of empty fruit bunch (EFB) waste. Utilizing EFB as a bio pellet as a renewable energy source is one of the solutions to reduce waste while supporting the green energy transition. EFB bio-pellets have the potential to replace fossil fuels, but face challenges in setting good quality standards. The production process of EFB bio-pellets uses a variety of binder contents. This study aims to analyze the influence of different levels of binder content on the quality of bio-pellet products. Statistical analysis of linear regression was performed to measure energy consumption and motor performance in the production process of EFB bio-pellets. This study provides recommendations to help maximize the quality and efficiency of the bio-pellet production process from palm oil EFB waste.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence technology has driven the increasing use of voice user interfaces (VUI) as a more natural form of human-computer interaction. One widely used VUI implementation is voice recognition-based smart speakers. Despite its widespread adoption, voice recognition performance on smart speakers is not necessarily optimal when used in real-world conditions, particularly in far-field scenarios that are influenced by user distance, environmental noise, and system response time. This study aims to analyze and compare the voice recognition performance of Amazon Alexa smart speakers and the Interactive Speaker System as a non-vendor comparison system. Testing was conducted at varying user distances in a non-soundproof room to represent real-world operational conditions.The obtained performance data was analyzed using the Random Forest method as a classification tool due to its ability to handle multivariate data and nonlinear relationships between variables. The results showed that variations in user distance significantly affected the voice recognition performance of both systems, with a tendency for performance to decrease as distance increased. In addition, differences in system architecture characteristics also influenced the level of resilience to environmental conditions. The application of the Random Forest method also enabled the identification of dominant factors that influence the success of voice recognition. This research is expected to provide theoretical contributions in the study of voice recognition performance in far-field scenarios, as well as practical contributions as a basis for consideration in the selection and development of more reliable voice-based interaction systems in real environments.

Abstract

Dewasa ini mesin listrik yang sering digunakan pada dunia industri adalah motorinduksi, hal ini karena motor induksi memiliki beberapa keunggulan dibandingkan jenis motor lain, diantaranya memiliki efisiensi yang relatif tinggi, konstrusi yang sederhana dan kuat, serta mudah dan murah dalam perawatannya. Salah satu kelemahan dari motor induksi adalah mengatur kecepatan putaran motor. Kecepatan putaran motor induksi dapat diubah dengan cara mengubah frekuensi dengan menggunakan inverter. Penelitianini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh perubahan frekuensi terhadap kecepatan putaran motor induksi 3 phasa menggunakan inverter. Hasil penelitian ini adalah perubahan frekuensi pada inverter dapat menyebabkan perubahan kecepatan putaran motor induksi 3 phasa. Perubahan frekuensi inverter dengan cara mengatur tegangan input inverter dengan mengubah-ubah tahanan (potensio meter ) pada inverter dapat merubah kecepatan motor induksi 3 phasa.Kunci : Motor Induksi 3 Phasa, Inverter (VFD), Frekuensi, Tegangan, Putaran.

Abstract

Dalam sistem tenaga listrik yang melayani beban secara kontinyu sebaiknyategangan dan frekuensi harus tetap konstan, namun apabila terjadi gangguan pada salah satu pembangkit atau pada rel maka hal ini tidak dipungkiri akan terjadi gangguan pada penyaluran daya. Untuk itu perluh dilakukan Penelitian tentang Stabilitas Sistem Tenaga yang berkaitan dengan Penentuan Sudut Pemutus Kritis dan Waktu Pemutus Kritis pada generator, guna mengetahui berapa besar Sudut Pemutus Kritis dan berapa besar Waktu Pemutus Kritis. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan Metode Step by Step dengan bantuan softwere Matlab. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa metode step by step dengan menggunakan Matlab sangat akurat dalam menentukan waktupemutus kritis dalam sistem tenaga listrik yang mengalami gangguan hubung singkat sesuai besar dan lama terjadinya gangguan.Kata kunci : Sudut Kritis, Waktu Pemutus Kritis, Runge Kutta, Stabilitas

Abstract

Salah satu usaha pengolahan hasil perikanan berupa pembuatan terasi. Terasi(shrimp paste) merupakan salah satu produk awetan ikan-ikan kecil atau rebonyang telah diolah melalui proses pemeraman atau fermentasi, penggilingan ataupenumbukan dan penjemuran. Persoalan terasi lainnya adalah tempat untukpenjemuran dan tingkat kekeringan terasi. Dalam penelitian dirancanglah alatpengering terasi otomatis yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil produksiterasi oleh masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitianini diperoleh hasil prototype alatpengering terasi otomatis yang tepat guna sehingga dapat mengurangipenggunaan tenaga manusia dan dapat terlaksana walau cuaca tidakmemungkinkan.Kata kunci : Terasi, Pengeringan), Ardiuno Uno.
