Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education demands a transformation of supervisory functions that balances technological innovation with human values. This study aims to explore the conceptualization of educational supervision at the intersection of spirituality and technopreneurship within AI-integrated learning environments. The method employed was a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. A systematic search was conducted on the Scopus database with strict inclusion criteria, yielding 12 final articles assessed for quality using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT). Synthesis results indicate significant conceptual fragmentation where literature remains separated between AI-technology domains and spiritual-value domains, without holistic integration or explicit discussion regarding technopreneurship. No comprehensive model was found bridging spiritual values with AI-based technopreneurship practices, and implementation challenges were reported in a fragmented manner per domain. This research provides theoretical, methodological, and practical contributions for developing an integrative supervision framework. It is concluded that transforming educational supervision in the AI era requires integrating spiritual values and entrepreneurial insights to create a holistic and sustainable ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of spiritual leadership in the management of Islamic education at Raudhatul Mutaallimin Institution. Spiritual leadership is an approach that emphasizes values such as faith, sincerity, trustworthiness, and exemplary behavior in carrying out responsibilities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with research subjects consisting of the institution’s leader, teachers, and educational staff. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity is ensured through triangulation. The results of the study show that spiritual leadership at Raudhatul Mutaallimin Institution is implemented in various aspects of management, such as decision-making based on deliberation and justice, guidance of teachers and staff through role modeling and togetherness, and the habituation of Islamic values in students’ daily activities. In addition, spiritual leadership plays a role in shaping a religious, disciplined, and harmonious institutional culture. The implementation of spiritual leadership has a positive impact on the institutional environment, teacher performance, and students’ character development. However, there are still several challenges, such as differences in understanding, limited human resources, and the demands of modern management. In conclusion, spiritual leadership can be an effective approach in improving the quality of Islamic education management, particularly in creating an educational environment that excels not only academically but also in moral and spiritual values.

Abstract

This article examines the leadership of Bu Nyai at Al-Azhar Azzayadiyah Islamic Boarding School as a representation of gender equality within traditional Islamic educational institutions. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies as data collection techniques. The research focuses on how Bu Nyai exercises leadership authority within a pesantren environment that has long been influenced by patriarchal values.\n\nThe findings reveal that Bu Nyai’s leadership is not only cultural and spiritual in nature, but also reflects the transformation of women’s roles within Islamic boarding schools. In carrying out her leadership, Bu Nyai applies charismatic, transformational, and value-based leadership styles grounded in Islamic teachings on justice and equality. This leadership is reflected in her ability to guide students, manage educational activities, build harmonious social relationships, and motivate members of the pesantren community.\n\nFurthermore, the presence of Bu Nyai as a leader demonstrates that women possess equal capabilities in developing Islamic educational institutions. The findings of this study provide important contributions to the development of gender studies in Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly regarding the strategic role of women in pesantren leadership.

Abstract

The quality of educators and human resources (HR) is a fundamental element in achieving the goals of high-quality Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This article aims to analyze management strategies for improving the quality of personnel and HR in the PAI sector through an integrative approach. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, using literature review from various primary and secondary sources. The analysis reveals that effective strategies include competency-based recruitment, continuous training, regular performance evaluation, and the implementation of an innovative work culture. These findings are expected to serve as a strategic reference for enhancing the quality of PAI personnel across educational institutions.

Abstract

Peningkatan mutu pendidikan memerlukan kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah yang mampu mengarahkan lembaga menuju tujuan yang jelas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting untuk mengkaji kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng, meliputi visi dan misi, strategi peningkatan mutu, serta dampaknya terhadap output pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview), observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan kunci terdiri dari kepala madrasah, wakil kepala, guru senior, tenaga kependidikan, komite madrasah, dan wali murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala MTs Darul Ulum memiliki visi yang jelas dan terstruktur dalam pengembangan madrasah, menerapkan strategi peningkatan mutu berbasis Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP), membangun budaya akademik yang kondusif, serta meningkatkan profesionalisme guru melalui program pembinaan berkelanjutan. Secara yuridis, seluruh program yang dijalankan merujuk pada regulasi pendidikan nasional yang berlaku. Temuan lapangan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada angka kelulusan, prestasi akademik, dan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap madrasah. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dapat menjadi model strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan memperkuat daya saing lembaga pendidikan Islam secara berkelanjutan. Improving the quality of education requires visionary leadership from madrasa principals who are capable of guiding institutions toward clear goals. Therefore, this study is important to examine the visionary leadership of the principal in improving the quality of education at MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng. This study aims to analyze the visionary leadership of the madrasa principal in improving educational quality, including the principal’s vision and mission, quality improvement strategies, and their impact on educational outcomes. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Key informants included the principal, vice principals, senior teachers, educational staff, the madrasa committee, and parents. The findings reveal that the principal of MTs Darul Ulum possesses a clear and well-structured vision for institutional development, implements quality improvement strategies based on the National Education Standards (SNP), fosters a conducive academic culture, and enhances teacher professionalism through continuous professional development programs. Juridically, all implemented programs are aligned with applicable national education regulations. Field findings indicate significant improvements in graduation rates, academic achievement, and public trust in the madrasa. The implications of this study suggest that the implementation of visionary leadership by madrasa principals can serve as a strategic model for improving educational quality and strengthening the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the ethics of leadership among madrasah heads when making decisions at MTsN 1 Pamekasan. The main focus of this study is the ethical values applied, the decision-making processes employed, and their impact on madrasah management. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach involving field research. To collect data, interviews, observations, and documentation were carried out, whilst data analysis utilised an interactive model encompassing data reduction, information presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that the headteacher applies ethical principles such as honesty, fairness, responsibility, and solidarity when making decisions. The application of these ethical principles contributes to the creation of a positive working environment, enhances trust among the madrasah community, and supports the success of institutional management. Nevertheless, there are several challenges, including time constraints in the consultation process and the pressure arising from decisions that must be made promptly. This study concludes that ethics in leadership plays a significant role in improving the quality of the decision-making process in madrasahs. Therefore, madrasah heads need to continue to enhance their ethical and leadership competencies in order to overcome various challenges in educational management. Abstract

Leadership in education plays a strategic role in improving the quality of educational institutions, especially in facing the challenges of globalization and digitalization. Organizational culture and local wisdom are essential elements in shaping students’ character and institutional identity. This study aims to analyze the concept of leadership based on organizational culture and local wisdom, explore the role of local wisdom in educational leadership, and examine its implementation in the era of educational globalization. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected through documentation techniques from scientific journals, books, and relevant academic sources published within the last five years. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that leadership based on organizational culture and local wisdom can create a conducive educational environment, strengthen students’ character, and improve the quality of education. In addition, integrating local cultural values with technological innovation is an important strategy for addressing globalization challenges. Therefore, adaptive and contextual leadership rooted in local cultural values is urgently needed in modern educational management.

Abstract

Supervisi dalam dunia Pendidikan khususnya pada Lembaga Pendidikan sangat perlu dilakukan, karena sebagai bentuk pembinaan dan juga pengawasan kepada guru dalam system pembelajarannya yang ada di kelas. sorang pendidik yang ada di Lembaga Pendidikan memerlukan sebuah pengembangan terhadap system pembelajaran yang digunakan. Sehingga adanya supervisi kepala sekolah disini mampu menjadi sebuah tolak ukur serta bahan evaluasi bagi guru. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengaplikasikan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang menghasilkan temuan terkait pelaksanaan supervisi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi pedadogis guru yakni kepala sekolah selain memberikan sebuah penilaian dan pengawasan kepala sekolah juga memberikan sebuah pembinaan, bimbingan dan juga motivasi kepada guru sebagai bentuk peningkatan kompetensi yang dimikili guru. Faktor pendukung dan juga hasil pelaksanaan yaitu dengan adanya Kerjasama antara kepala sekolah dengan guru dan juga membangun komonikasi yang efektif, Dengan demikian, kepala sekolah dapat memberikan bimbingan serta motivasi kepada para guru. Namun dalam pelaksanaanya juga terdapat hasil dalam pelaksanaan supervisi kepala sekolah yaitu sudah memiliki keprofesionalan tinggi dan juga sudah memiliki kompetensi yang berkembang sehingga dalam kegiatan sistem pembelajarannya sudah menerapkan kegiatan belajar yang efektif

Abstract

This study examines the traces of Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah's life and his role as a pioneer and public figure as well as his transcendence dimension prophetically influence character development as spirit and personality of the Santri (students). This study uses a descriptive approach with data collection techniques of interviews, participant Kiai, Leadership; Transcendence; Character Development; Santri observation, and documentation. This research aims to, firstly, describe the life of Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah when he was in the Islamic boarding school; secondly, to describe the role of Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah as a pioneer in establishing educational institutions, as a great figure in mass organizations and his wisdom as Murshid Thoriqah Naqsyabandiyah Ahmadiyah Mudzhariyah; and the last, to describe the prophetic transcendence dimension of Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah's leadership in influencing character development as spirit and personality of the students in managing Islamic Education. The results showed that, firstly, Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah was a scholar who produced works related to religion, Sufism, and language. Second, Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah plays and works his role well as a public figure for Islamic Education, the figure of Religious Organization namely Nahdhatul Ulama (NU), as well as Sufi and Murshid figure of Thoriqah Naqsabandiyah Ahmadiyah Mudzhariyah. Third, the behavior and leadership of Kiai Abdul Wahid Khudzaifah, in prophetic transcendent, influence the character development of the students in the form of trustful, patience, sincerity, istiqamah, simplicity and humility, and firmness in his action.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is a strategic challenge that requires a systematic and sustainable approach. Educational supervision plays a central role in this effort, functioning as a mechanism for monitoring, guiding, and developing educational practices, both academic and managerial. This study employs a qualitative approach with a literature review to analyze the conceptual framework of supervision as an instrument for improving educational quality. The analysis emphasizes the integration between the objects of supervision—which include the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning, school program management, and the professional development of teachers and educational staff—and the targets of supervision, which encompass teachers, principals, educational staff, and the organizational system of educational institutions. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of supervision is influenced by the competence of supervisors, teachers' understanding, infrastructure support, and strategies such as transforming the role of supervision into creative functional supervision, coaching, reflective practice, structured academic supervision, continuous professional development, and contextual collaborative approaches. Integrated supervision serves as a bridge between normative standards and educational practices, strengthens a culture of professional learning, closes the gap between planning and implementation, and promotes the continuous improvement of educational quality. The results of this study provide a conceptual contribution to the development of educational supervision and strategic recommendations for the implementation of more effective supervisory practices in schools
