Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital market education and financial literacy on Generation Z investment interest among students of Economics Education, State University of Medan. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires to 35 respondents. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that capital market education and financial literacy partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on students' investment interest. Capital market education has a more dominant influence than financial literacy. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.628 indicates that 62.8% of the variation in investment interest can be explained by these two variables, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study. Increasing capital market education and financial literacy is an important factor in encouraging Generation Z investment interest, especially students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using Canva and Blooket-Quiz learning media on students’ understanding of employment material in Class XI Inglanfis 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The study was conducted due to the low level of students’ understanding and participation in learning activities caused by the use of conventional teaching methods. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 29 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, observations, documentation, and questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that Canva had a positive and significant effect on students’ understanding with a significance value of 0.008 (<0.05), while Blooket-Quiz also had a positive and significant effect with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). Simultaneously, Canva and Blooket-Quiz significantly influenced students’ understanding, as indicated by an F-value significance of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.726, indicating that 72.6% of the variation in students’ understanding could be explained by the use of Canva and Blooket-Quiz. Therefore, the integration of Canva and Blooket-Quiz is effective in improving students’ understanding of employment material and creating a more interactive and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of using Busy Book media on body awareness in children aged 5 to 6 years at Shafa Marwah Kindergarten. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 15 children selected through simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out through observation using an assessment sheet that had undergone validity and reliability testing, while data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed that before the treatment, children's body awareness was in the "Beginning to Develop" (MB) category, with a mean score of 42.60. After the treatment using Busy Book media, the mean score increased to 57.93, placing it in the "Developing as Expected" (BSH) category. The hypothesis test yielded t = 11.010 (df = 14) with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of p < 0.001, meaning H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This confirms that Busy Book media has a significant effect on improving children's body awareness. Busy Book media proved effective in helping children recognize their body parts and functions, understand body identity, recognize physical body boundaries, respond to potentially harmful situations, and understand body privacy limits. This media can serve as an educational resource for teachers to stimulate early childhood body awareness from an early age.

Abstract

This paper presents a literature review examining recent scholarly works on the integration of local folktales into English language instruction for young learners, framed within the principles of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and supported by digital storytelling technologies. The purpose of this review is to synthesize theories, frameworks, and empirical findings from credible and up-to-date journals, with the aim of identifying key insights relevant to the subtheme Innovation in Language Education in the Digital Era. The reviewed literature covers three main areas: (1) the pedagogical value of folktales in fostering linguistic competence and cultural identity, (2) the effectiveness of digital storytelling tools such as animated videos, interactive e-books, and audio platforms in supporting young learners&rsquo; language skills, and (3) the role of CRT in creating inclusive and culturally meaningful learning environments. Through comparative analysis of multiple studies, the paper highlights common themes, emerging trends, and research gaps. The conclusion offers synthesized implications for curriculum design, teacher professional development, and the implementation of low-cost digital storytelling practices in bilingual primary education. This review aims to provide a theoretically grounded and evidence-based perspective for educators and policymakers seeking to integrate cultural heritage and digital innovation into English language teaching for young learners.
