Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of antecedents, such as psychological empowerment and intellectual capital, on various aspects of innovative work behavior, such as idea exploration, generation, championing, and implementation, and to examine the role of each dimension in mediating the impact on business performance. The study is particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to enhance their employees' innovative behavior and optimize their business performance. A quantitative research approach was used, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 254 SMEs in West Sumatra, Indonesia, both directly and through an online survey platform. The analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS to examine the influence and mediating role of the variables. The findings demonstrate that psychological empowerment and intellectual capital have a significant effect on each dimension of innovative work behavior, with psychological empowerment acting as an antecedent and innovative work behavior as a mediator for business performance. This study contributes to the existing literature on psychological empowerment, intellectual capital, innovative work behavior, and business performance and can aid governments in formulating policies to support SMEs in improving their business performance. Abstract

This study investigates the intricate dynamics of employee engagement, adaptive leadership, job satisfaction, and work productivity within the organizational context of PT Gangking Raya office in Makassar. Through a sample of 47 individuals, the study employs a rigorous analysis using SmartPLS to examine both direct and indirect relationships among these key variables. The results indicate a significant positive impact of employee engagement on job satisfaction and work productivity, emphasizing the pivotal role of an engaged workforce. While adaptive leadership shows a positive association with job satisfaction, its direct influence on work productivity is not statistically significant. Notably, job satisfaction emerges as a significant mediator between both employee engagement and adaptive leadership with work productivity. This suggests that cultivating high job satisfaction levels is crucial in maximizing the positive outcomes of employee engagement and adaptive leadership on overall work productivity. These findings offer valuable insights for organizational strategies, underscoring the importance of fostering employee engagement, adaptive leadership practices, and job satisfaction for a thriving and productive workplace environment at PT Gangking Raya.

Abstract

The company's profitability is not only a major factor in the creation of firm value, several previous researchers have explored the determinants of firm value creation. This statement becomes an argument so that this study re-examines the contribution of firm size and leverage to the firm's value of property and real estate. The selection of issuers relies on the criteria sampling technique by utilizing financial reports obtained from the Indonesian capital market directory for the 2017-2019 period, there are thirteen issuers' financial reports that cannot be used from forty-two issuers, that meet the criteria so that only eighty-seven units of analysis are left. data. The results of the analysis of variance show that a large company size cannot make a meaningful contribution to increasing firm value. This condition is different from leverage, in that high leverage is proven to be able to make a significant contribution in increasing firm value.

Abstract

This study explores the determinants of Indonesia's economic growth factors through inflation, exchange rates and foreign direct investment based on a quantitative paradigm. This research uses all provinces in Indonesia as population except (Bengkulu, West Sulawesi, Maluku, Gorontalo, Southwest Papua, Central Papua, Mountainous Papua and South Papua) leaving only 30 provinces as data analysis units through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using panel data regression analysis using Eviews-13. The results of the modeling selection determined that the selected model was a random effect model with a modeling contribution = 20.10%. The findings of this research provide evidence that higher inflation and foreign direct investment (FDI) have proven to have a real impact on economic growth, whereas a decrease in the exchange rate has proven unable to increase provincial economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many businesses to shut down their operations and shift to digital platforms to survive and ensure their business continues. Hence, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have undergone an accelerated digital transformation to adopt technological innovations. The research aimed to identify the factors that encouraged and hindered digital innovation in MSMEs during economic destabilization, focusing on the perspectives of young entrepreneurs in Makassar City. Qualitative methods were used, involving in-depth interviews with 25 young entrepreneurs in Makassar City to explore the positive and negative impacts of transitioning to digital platforms post-pandemic. Data analysis was conducted using the inductive content analysis method. The results show that digital innovation in MSMEs after the pandemic is influenced by external factors (market and demand restrictions) and internal factors (personal and professional development). The limited financing, technology, and management of MSMEs compared to large enterprises make them more vulnerable to post-pandemic bankruptcy. Barriers faced in running businesses post-pandemic include market challenges on digital platforms, the need for necessary skills, and infrastructure availability. The implications of these findings are expected to develop programs that support young entrepreneurs and provide recommendations for the government in formulating policies and strategies to encourage digital entrepreneurship, especially in developing countries after the current pandemic.
