Abstract

Since the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Warmadewa, launched community-oriented medical education (COME), the stunting prevalence in Gianyar Residence decreased from 12.1% (2018) to 11.1% (2019). In 2021, it decreased to 5.1% which was lower than Bali province (10.9% in 2021) and much less than the Republic of Indonesia (24.4%). The PentaCOME (Pentahelix Community-Based Medical Education) project, the modification of COME, was the collaboration of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Higher Education, the Warmadewa University, as well as PT. Sido Muncul is implemented to further lower stunting prevalence via the “Stunting Primordial Prevention Through Prospective Brides Advisory Service” initiative in Payangan District. The present study was intended to figure out barriers to implementing such initiatives. This is a qualitative study using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) in obtaining data. Purposive sampling was used to select informants who represented academicians (3), businessmen (2), community (9), government (3), and media (3) (i.e., Penta helix components). Twenty in-depth interviews and two FGDs involving academician, community, government, and media were conducted during the 1 September 2022 – 15 October 2022 period. Two coders transcribed and coded independently. The social-ecological model was used to categorize the codes. Informants described that they never heard about the ELSIMIL application (ELSIMIL stands for Electronic Siap Nikah dan Hamil which means ‘prepared to get married and pregnant application’) at the personal level. The “No pregnancy, no marriage” motto (i.e., social pressure to get pregnant before marriage among Balinese) was found a barrier at the interpersonal level. At the institutional level, key informants stated the prospective bride’s advisory service and ELSIMIL application campaign were not adequate. At the community level, the family support team community has been established, however, they could not fulfill their function properly due to the “no pregnancy, no marriage” motto. At the policy level, the traditional village assembly (i.e., “Majelis Desa Adat”) has not issued regulations regarding the prospective bride’s advisory service.  A lack of cross-sector collaboration was also reported as a barrier to this initiative. A well-planned promotion could socialize ELSIMIL application among prospective brides. Advocacy to the traditional village assembly might diminish the “no pregnancy, no marriage” motto. Pentahelix collaboration needs to be established to achieve the “zero stunting for golden generation” goal.

Abstract

One source of government revenue is revenue from the tax sector. Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) is one of the regional taxes that contributes significantly to financing provincial development. This study aims to determine the effect of taxpayer knowledge, taxpayer awareness and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance in paying motor vehicle tax at the Sambas Regency SAMSAT office. The number of samples in this study was 40 samples. The sample determination was carried out using the accidental sampling method, which is a technique for determining samples by chance. Data collection was carried out using the questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variable of taxpayer awareness has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, while the variables of taxpayer knowledge and tax sanctions do not have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance. The results of multiple regression show Y = 13,446 + 0.463. The magnitude of the influence of taxpayer knowledge, taxpayer awareness and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance of two-wheeled motor vehicles is seen from the R-square of 0.194, meaning that variables X1, X2 and X3 influence Y by 19.4% and the remaining 80.6% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. While for the simultaneous test based on the results in the ANOVA table shows that the significant value is 0.049 so that <0.05. So based on the hypothesis that H4 is accepted. Thus, variables X1, X2 and X3 influence variable Y so that the result is taxpayer knowledge, taxpayer awareness and tax sanctions influence taxpayer compliance of two-wheeled motor vehicles in Sambas Regency.

Abstract

Infusions are clinical equipment for administering liquid medication or nutrients to patients. Infusion fluid is stored in a sterile bag and delivered to a vein through a tube. Infusion monitoring is usually done manually by nurses, which often results in negligence such as replacing the liquid run out too late, handling infusions that are not dripping, and dealing with blood that rises into the infusion hose. Therefore, a real-time monitoring system is needed that can provide information and remote notifications about the condition of the infusion. This research develops an IoT-based system using NodeMCU ESP32, Loadcell sensor, TCRT5000 sensor, LDR sensor, Node-RED, and Telegram bot application. NodeMCU ESP32 serves as the main controller. Loadcell sensor gauges volume of the infusion fluid, TCRT5000 sensor counts droplets per minute, and LDR sensor detects blood in the infusion hose. Sensor data is sent to Node-RED for processing and display on the Telegram bot application. The accuracy of the Loadcell sensor reaches 95.69%, while the TCRT5000 sensor has an accuracy of 76.73%. Notifications are sent when the infusion fluid volume is less than 100 ml, the infusion fluid is not dripping, and when the LDR sensor detects blood in the infusion hose.
