Abstract

Group Investigation (GI) is a form of cooperative learning model that emphasizes student participation and activities to find their own subject matter (information) to be learned through available materials, for example from textbooks or students can search through the internet. This Class Action Research (PTK) is carried out in three cycles with the structure and function of plant parts. The data collection tools used consist of learning instruments, evaluations (tests) and observations to determine data validation. The subjects studied were teachers and students of grade IV SDN 28/IV Jambi City. The results of the study show that in each cycle, student activities and learning outcomes have increased as well as teacher activities in teaching. In the first cycle, the completeness of student learning outcomes was classically complete with a percentage of 35.29 and an average score of 63.23 and only 6 students completed, and in the second cycle there was an increase in the percentage of completeness of classical learning outcomes of 64.70% and an average score of 71.17 and 11 students who completed, and in cycle III the completeness of learning outcomes also increased, namely with a percentage of 100% and an average score of 81.17 and all students completed with KKTP 70.  Student activities in cycles I, II, and III also increased, namely in cycle I with a percentage of 57.48% and in the category of moderately active 79, cyclus II with a percentage of 75.66% and in the active category, cycle III with a percentage of 88.89% and in the very active category. In addition, teacher activity in teaching in cycle 1 with a percentage of 69.64% and is in the fairly good category, cycle II with a percentage of 85.71% and is in the good category, Cycle III with a percentage of 94.64% is in the very good category.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the application of the Preview Question Learning Method in Improving Reading Comprehension Skills for Class V Students in Thematic Learning at Madrasah Ibtidayah Al-Munawwarah Jambi City. This research focuses on the thematic learning process using the preview question learning method. This study uses a classroom action research approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis.In planning the teacher makes lesson plans, syllabus and prota and promissory notes according to existing provisions. The implementation of thematic learning is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and an evaluation of learning using the 2013 curriculum assessment with three aspects or domains assessed, namely knowledge, attitudes and skills. At the beginning of the observation, the researcher found that students' reading skills were still low. Because teachers still use conventional methods (lecture methods) and have not used appropriate learning strategies. This makes students feel bored with the learning process in class. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the preview question learning method can improve students' reading comprehension skills in thematic learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Munawwarah Jambi City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by number card media on the mathematics learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN Semeru 1 Kota Bogor in the topic of place value. The research problem is based on the low understanding of place value concepts and the dominance of conventional teaching methods in the classroom. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 25 students. The instruments used were pretest and posttest questions that had been validated by experts. The results showed an increase in the average score from 45.23 to 75.18 with a gain score of 64.89%, which is categorized as high. The t-test showed a t-value of 12.456 with a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The use of concrete media in the form of number cards effectively helped students understand abstract mathematical concepts, while the PBL model was able to increase active student engagement in the learning process. The findings conclude that the combination of PBL and number card media can significantly improve mathematics learning outcomes while providing a meaningful and contextual learning experience. Therefore, active, innovative, and contextual learning approaches are recommended to be implemented in primary school mathematics learning.

Abstract

Minat beli konsumen merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan penjualan produk, termasuk industri furniture. Toko Deyumi Jati Sei Piring menghadapi permasalahan dalam memprediksi minat pelanggan terhadap berbagai jenis furniture yang dijual. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengelompokkan minat beli pelanggan berdasarkan data penjualan menggunakan algoritma K-Means Clustering. Data penelitian mencakup penjualan lima jenis furniture utama selama 12 bulan terakhir. Proses klasterisasi dilakukan untuk membagi produk ke dalam kategori berdasarkan pola penjualan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lemari, tempat tidur, dan kursi termasuk dalam kategori produk dengan minat beli tinggi, sedangkan meja, rak TV, dan beberapa produk lainnya tergolong pada kategori dengan minat rendah. Informasi ini dapat membantu perusahaan menentukan strategi produksi, pengelolaan stok, serta penempatan barang secara lebih efisien. Selain itu, penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem berbasis web yang terintegrasi dengan metode K-Means, sehingga pemilik usaha dapat secara real-time memantau kategori produk dan menyesuaikan strategi penjualan. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah menyediakan sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis data mining yang membantu perusahaan meminimalkan risiko kelebihan atau kekurangan stok. Dengan demikian, penerapan algoritma K-Means terbukti efektif dalam mengidentifikasi pola minat beli konsumen dan mendukung perencanaan bisnis yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between learning style variations (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) and students’ learning motivation and academic achievement. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population consisted of junior high school students, with a sample of 100 participants selected using purposive sampling. Research instruments included validated questionnaires on learning styles and learning motivation, as well as documentation of students’ academic scores as indicators of achievement. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test to determine the relationships among variables. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between learning styles and learning motivation (r = 0.56; p < 0.05), and between learning styles and academic achievement (r = 0.48; p < 0.05). Students whose learning styles matched the instructional methods demonstrated higher levels of motivation and achievement compared to those whose styles were mismatched. These findings highlight the importance of understanding students’ learning styles as a foundation for developing more effective and adaptive teaching strategies

Abstract

Work readiness reflects how well an individual is physically, mentally, and experientially prepared to perform tasks relevant to their field of expertise. In theory, soft skills, career interests, and hard skills are considered influential factors in students’ work readiness when facing the challenges of the professional world. This study aims to examine the relationship between these three variables and the work readiness of 2022 cohort students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau, who feel prepared to enter the workforce after completing their education. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a survey method, which involved distributing questionnaires to 259 respondents selected based on work readiness criteria. The data were analyzed using the Bivariate Pearson correlation test with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The results indicate that soft skills, career interests, and hard skills have a positive and significant impact on students’ work readiness. These findings contribute theoretically by strengthening empirical evidence on the significance of these three factors and offer practical implications for educational institutions and employers in designing learning and training strategies that comprehensively support students’ career readiness.

Abstract

This community service activity at TK Negeri 31 Simpang Sungai Duren aimed to strengthen parental involvement in early childhood education through a collaborative mini storybook-making activity. The program was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the activity, children drew, colored, and narrated their personal experiences, while parents helped arrange the storyline and wrote simple narratives based on the children's explanations. Throughout the process, children showed high enthusiasm and active engagement in each step. The results indicated that the activity successfully enhanced children's storytelling skills, confidence, creativity, and emotional expression. Parents also demonstrated increased involvement and stronger emotional bonding with their children. Overall, this activity provided a meaningful learning experience and proved that creative literacy activities involving both parents and children can effectively support early childhood development and strengthen the role of families in education.

Abstract

Fenomena fatherless generation menjadi salah satu tantangan serius dalam kehidupan keluarga masa kini karena berdampak langsung pada perkembangan emosional, sosial, dan psikologis anak. Kondisi fatherless tidak hanya disebabkan oleh ketidakhadiran ayah secara fisik akibat perceraian atau kematian, tetapi juga karena minimnya keterlibatan ayah dalam proses pengasuhan anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran orang tua, khususnya masyarakat Perumahan Grand Fazz Mecca, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, mengenai pentingnya peran ayah dalam keluarga serta dampak fenomena fatherless terhadap tumbuh kembang anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah dan diskusi. Metode ceramah digunakan untuk menyampaikan konsep dasar mengenai fatherless generation, dampak yang ditimbulkan, serta strategi penguatan peran ayah dalam keluarga. Sementara itu, metode diskusi memberikan ruang bagi masyarakat untuk berbagi pengalaman, bertanya, dan mengaitkan materi dengan kondisi nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memberikan respons positif dan antusias terhadap materi yang disampaikan. Masyarakat memperoleh wawasan baru mengenai pentingnya keterlibatan emosional ayah, komunikasi keluarga yang hangat, serta kerja sama kedua orang tua dalam pengasuhan anak. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam memperkuat fungsi keluarga dan mencegah dampak negatif fenomena fatherless pada perkembangan anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh dari kalibrasi tekanan injector terhadap performa mesin diesel Mitsubishi L300 yang meliputi parameter torsi, daya dan konsumsi bahan bakar. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan dua kondisi tekanan injector, yaitu sebelum di kalibrasi (105,52 Bar) dan sesudah di kalibrasi (117,68 Bar), pada dua putaran mesin berbeda yaitu 1000 rpm dan 1500 rpm. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tekanan injector yang telah dikalibrasi memberikan peningkatan signifikan terhadap daya mesin dan torsi. Pada tekanan 117,68 Bar dan putaran 1500 rpm, torsi meningkat dari 301,056 Nm menjadi 338,688 Nm dan daya poros meningkat dari 47,27 Kw menjadi 53,17 Kw. Meskipun ditunjukkan oleh penuruan nilai konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik (Sfc). Dengan demikian kalibrasi injector terbukti mampu meningkatkan unjuk kerja mesin secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan kalibrasi tekanan injector sebagai bagian dari perawatan preventif mesin diesel niaga seperti Mitsubishi L300.

Abstract

Banana is a climacteric fruit that continues to ripen after harvesting, and the ripening process plays a crucial role in determining its market value, taste, and consumer safety. In Tawangmangu, a highland region of Central Java, many banana fruit sellers still employ traditional and unsafe methods for ripening, including the use of non-food-grade chemicals. This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and practices of 10 local banana sellers by providing participatory training on natural and safe ripening techniques, with a focus on Ambon bananas (Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum). The training combined theoretical education with hands-on practice in using ethylene-based and hygienic ripening methods. Pre- and post-test evaluations revealed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of postharvest physiology and food safety. Furthermore, 80% of the sellers demonstrated the ability to construct and apply low-cost ripening chambers using local materials, and reported reduced fruit spoilage, improved customer satisfaction, and increased marketability. The program successfully bridged the knowledge gap and introduced a practical, low-resource solution aligned with sustainable development goals. This model has the potential to be replicated in other rural agricultural markets to improve food safety and support local economic empowerment.
