Abstract

This research is motivated by the critical role of Islamic religious education supervisors in enhancing the professionalism of madrasah principals and teachers, particularly at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Yapida Sliyeg-Indramayu, given that educational quality is significantly influenced by the performance of teaching staff and school management. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategies of Islamic religious education supervisors in their efforts to improve the professionalism of madrasah principals and teachers in this environment. This research used a case study method with a qualitative approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain in-depth data on the implementation of supervision and coaching by supervisors. The results indicate that supervisory strategies, including instructional supervision, classroom visits, and administrative and managerial coaching, significantly improved the pedagogical, professional, and social competencies of teachers and madrasah principals. The conclusion of this study is that the active role of Islamic religious education supervisors is highly influential in improving the professionalism and quality of education in madrasahs, although several obstacles remain, including limited resources and a suboptimal understanding of the curriculum. These findings emphasise the need to strengthen supervisor capacity and foster closer collaboration between supervisors, madrasah principals, and teachers to achieve the goals of quality and religious education.

Abstract

Inclusive education management aims to ensure equitable access to learning for all students, including those with special needs. Despite broad policy support, implementation remains uneven across contexts, including Indonesia. Common barriers include constrained resources, insufficient teacher preparation, cultural resistance, and high teacher workloads. This study conducts a systematic literature review (SLR) to synthesize recent evidence on practices, challenges, and solutions. The analysis identifies effective practices such as comprehensive teacher professional development, provision of disability-friendly facilities, and sustained collaboration among schools, families, and communities. Persistent constraints include budget limitations, inadequate psychosocial support, and social stigma that hinders the inclusion of students with special needs in mainstream classrooms. To organize actionable responses, the review integrates management perspectives from Total Quality Management, distributed leadership, and change theory, providing a structured pathway for improvement. Based on these insights, the paper recommends strengthening inclusive education policies, leveraging educational technologies, and implementing public awareness initiatives to build acceptance. Overall, the findings highlight the need for coordinated, long-term commitments by governments, schools, and communities to achieve a fair and inclusive education system.

Abstract

Penguatan karakter religius siswa sekolah dasar menjadi tantangan penting di tengah melemahnya internalisasi nilai-nilai religius dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan dipandang sebagai salah satu strategi yang relevan, namun pengelolaannya seringkali belum dilakukan secara sistematis dan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen program ekstrakurikuler keagamaan dalam meningkatkan karakter religius siswa di SDN Salem dan SDN 1 Parakansalam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling, meliputi kepala sekolah dan guru pembina ekstrakurikuler keagamaan di kedua sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan SaldaƱa yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen program ekstrakurikuler keagamaan telah dilaksanakan melalui fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Perencanaan program disusun berdasarkan kebutuhan siswa dan visi sekolah. Pengorganisasian dilakukan melalui pembagian tugas yang jelas antara kepala sekolah dan guru pembina. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan secara konsisten melalui pembiasaan dan keteladanan, seperti kegiatan tadarus dan salat berjamaah, yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kedisiplinan dan sikap religius siswa. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan refleksi berkala, meskipun belum menggunakan indikator yang terstandar secara kuantitatif. Secara keseluruhan, integrasi fungsi manajemen dalam pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter religius siswa, namun memerlukan penguatan sistem evaluasi dan standarisasi prosedur untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengembangkan indikator karakter religius yang terukur, menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif atau mixed-method, serta menguji efektivitas model manajemen pada konteks sekolah yang lebih beragam.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the management of the Kaizen 5S concept (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) in improving the soft skills of graduates of SMK Negeri 1 Pangandaran and SMK Negeri 1 Padaherang. The background of this study is based on the industrial world's need for vocational school graduates who not only have technical competence, but also soft skills such as discipline, responsibility, orderliness, and work ethic. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the planning of the implementation of Kaizen 5S was carried out based on the 5W + 1H principle and involved various school stakeholders. Organization was carried out by forming a 5S team with a clear structure and tasks. The implementation of 5S was integrated into learning and practice activities, thus forming positive student habits. Supervision was carried out routinely through evaluations, field inspections, and weekly self-assessments. Obstacles found included limited infrastructure, the role of workers that was not optimal, and weak administrative records of supervision. In conclusion, the implementation of the Kaizen 5S concept contributes positively to forming a productive work culture and improving students' soft skills, especially discipline, responsibility, and concern for the work environment.
