Abstract

Animated cartoons are media that contain a collection of images that are processed in such a way as to move and are equipped with audio so that they are memorable and store learning messages. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of counseling using animated cartoon media on dental and oral health knowledge. Based on the results of the initial data examination conducted on 15 students, the results obtained were 2 students with good knowledge, 2 students with moderate knowledge, and 11 students with less knowledge. This research method uses a Quasi Experiment One Group Pre test-Post test design. The population in this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN 2 Lamcot Aceh Besar totaling 30 respondents. The sampling technique used was the Total Sampling technique. This research was conducted on 12-18 May 2022. Data collection using a questionnaire. This study used the SPSS Paired Sample T-test and analyzed univariately and bivariate. Based on the results of the study, there were differences in the mean before and after the intervention with a difference in the mean value of 40.1. The results of statistical tests obtained a significance value of p = 0.000 (p = <0.05). The results of this analysis indicate that there is a significant difference between before and after counseling using animated cartoon media. It can be concluded that in this study there was an effect of counseling using animated cartoon media on dental and oral health knowledge of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Lamcot Aceh Besar. It is recommended to teachers and health workers at the local health center use animated cartoon media in increasing students' dental and oral health knowledge.

Abstract

Economic status is the position of a person or family in society based on monthly income.  The socio-economic level can affect the degree of knowledge, lifestyle, and access to health information and services.  The socioeconomic level also affects the family's ability to meet the needs of food intake and healthy lifestyle habits.  Several factors involved in socioeconomic is work, income and education.  The initial examination of dental caries conducted by researchers on 15 people in Cureh Village found that 12 of them had high criteria, namely 5.1 and 3 d low criteria, namely 1.4.  The study aimed to determine the relationship between socioeconomic level and caries status in the community of Cureh Village, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar Regency in 2022. This research is analytical with a cross-sectional design.  The population in this study is the entire Cureh village community, totalling 394 people.  The research sample was determined using a random sampling technique totalling 79 people.  The research was carried out in Cureh Village, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar District on 5-10 January 2022. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, diagnostic sets, and patient status cards. The results showed that with low income there was a high number of dental caries experienced by 32 respondents (52,45%).  The results of statistical tests obtained the results of p.  Value 0.001 indicates < α 0.05. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between socioeconomic level (income) and dental caries.  It is hoped that the community will increase knowledge by seeking information about dental health from information media such as posters, advertisements, television, magazines, and newspapers, and changing maintenance behaviour such as brushing teeth regularly and checking teeth every 6 months at the dentist or health centre and consuming nutritious and fibrous food.

Abstract

The development of technology has brought major changes in various aspects of life, including in education. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using technology in multilingual learning in primary schools, focusing on the implementation in Lhokseumawe City. A mixed methods approach was used. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results showed that the use of technology in language learning had a positive impact on improving students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The group of students who used technology experienced an average score increase of 15%, compared to an 8% increase in the group who learned with traditional methods. In addition, the use of gamification-based apps and e-learning increased students' motivation and engagement in learning. However, the main challenges faced were limited access to digital devices and internet connectivity, as well as a lack of training for teachers in optimizing technology in teaching. The conclusion of this study confirms that technology integration in multilingual learning can improve learning effectiveness, provided it is supported by adequate infrastructure and improved teacher competencies. Therefore, a comprehensive strategy is needed to overcome the existing constraints, including equal access to technology in primary schools and the development of a more adaptive digital-based curriculum.

Abstract

Writing plays a significant role in teaching and learning the English language, yet it is often regarded as a challenging skill to master. To produce a well-written piece, certain criteria must be met, including content, organization, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics. Instructional media can be a valuable tool for teachers in facilitating writing instruction. This article explores the use of picture series as an instructional medium to enhance students' writing skills. Picture series are particularly effective because they are engaging and visually represent the chronological sequence of a text. The article reviews relevant theories, regulations, research, and practical applications in teaching writing. It also offers examples of different instructional media, emphasizes the benefits of using picture series to improve writing abilities, and provides a step-by-step guide on implementing picture series in the classroom. The goal of this article is to serve as a resource for teaching writing with picture series and to offer recommendations for future research and practice.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the application of internal control in bai’ taqsith financing at Arrahmah Sharia Consumer Cooperative using COSO standards. This research was conducted using qualitative approach. Primary data was gathered by conducting interview, while secondary data was obtained by documenting some written information. The results showed that the internal control system implemented by the Arrahmah Sharia Consumer Cooperative was quite good and in accordance with the components of internal control according to COSO. The internal control environment is created through integrity and ethical values for all employees and management. There are organizational structure, policies related to human resources and financing risk mitigation. Control activities take place quite well. Information, communication, and monitoring have also been implemented by this cooperative. However, there are still some weaknesses, namely the existence of duplicate functions in the marketing and financing analysis sections, the absence of an integrated financing information system, and the potential for fraud

Abstract

Judul penelitian ini “Pemanfaatan Video Pembelajaran Sepak Bola Untuk Menarik Minat siswi kelas IV Sekolah Dasar”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan video pembelajaran sepak bola dalam menarik minat siswi kelas IV SDN 39 Sungai Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil wawancara diperoleh informasi bahwa ketidaksenangan siswi beragam dan ketertarikan siswi dipengaruhi oleh pemanfaatan video pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan assesmen diagnostic, diperoleh data bahwa siswa kelas IV dominan memiliki gaya belajar visual, yang lebih menyukai melalui gambar, diagram, video, atau grafik sehingga guru PJOK mempersiapkan proses pembelajaran dengan merancang modul ajar dan media pembelajaran berupa video sepak bola. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan minat siswi kelas IV. Siswi yang kurang tertarik pada pembelajaran sepak bola, menjadi bersemangat dan antusias dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out the improvement of the students’ listening ability in listening skill by using SPOTIFY Application as a tool that focused on Listening English song to identify what words the singer said and the meaning of the song. The researcher applied pre-experimental method with one group pre-test - post-test design, and collected the data based on the test. The sample of the research was the first semester students, which consisted of 25 students. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The research findings showed that the first semester students of English Department of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar had fairly score in pre-test. After treatment, their listening ability in identify phoneme words increase significantly. The result of the research were the mean score obtained by the students through pre-test was 57.2 and posttest was 74.4 with the t-test value orientation is greater than t-table (10.8>2.06). Listening through English Song in term of identify the phoneme words improved 17.2%. The result of calculating t-test of the indicators in the students’ t–test listening ability in listening through English Song was greater than t-table 25.1>2.06. Eventually, based on findings and discussion above, the researcher concluded that the improvement of the students listening ability through English song using SPOTIFY Application was significant improved

Abstract

The city of Padang as the capital city of West Sumatra Province has a coastal area consisting of a layer of sandy soil until depth of 32 m. One of these coastal areas is the Jambak sand beach area, Padang. Sandy soil in loose condition has low shear strength, so it is necessary to improve the soil to increase strength sn’l. In this study the ground improvement technique used was grouting, the grouting materials used were cement and water with a ratio of 1:2. Grouting is carried out at a depth of 50 cm with a certain pressure (2 Psi), and curing for 7 days. The main purpose of grouting is to produce soil or rock that is stronger, denser and less permeable, to fill voids that may not be accessible without a certain amount of pressure. To obtain soil classification in the field, sondir tests were carried out before and after grouting. The results showed the was an increase in the bearing strength of the sandy soil as a result of injecting cement into the soil in the holes, seen in holes 1 and 2 with qc values ranging from 50-55 kg/cm2 at 1D distance and it was seen that the qc values decreased as the sondir point got further away from the grouting column, there was an increase in the qc value at 1D distance of around 2.5-2.75 times the control qc value on the 7th day after grouting. The qc value decreases when the sondir point is far from the grouting point.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Tahapan Rehabilitasi Sosial Korban Penyalahgunaan NAPZA Dalam Mewujudkan Keberfungsian Sosial Di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Kendari. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitaif. Penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling sehingga yang menjadi informan adalah ketua rehabilitasi sosial, psikolog, konselor, dan warga binaan. Sumber data yang digunakan pada penelitian yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang di gunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan, pengolahan data, dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Tahapan rehabilitasi sosial bagi korban penyalahgunaan Napza berperan penting dalam mewujudkan keberfungsian sosial mereka. Melalui tahapan-tahapan ini, korban penyalahgunaan Napza dapat mengembalikan fungsionalitas sosial mereka secara bertahap. Dari pengenalan program hingga pemberian kegiatan vokasional dan perbengkelan, setiap tahapan dirancang untuk membantu korban memahami konsekuensi dari penyalahgunaan Napza dan membangun kembali keterampilan sosial dan kehidupan sehari-hari yang positif. Dengan adanya dukungan dari konselor, psikolog, dan lembaga terkait, serta kerja sama dari korban sendiri, diharapkan bahwa melalui proses rehabilitasi ini, korban penyalahgunaan Napza dapat kembali menjadi anggota masyarakat yang produktif dan berfungsi dengan baik.
