ABSTRACTÂ There are three purposes of this research. First, to describe of writing argumentative paragraph without using discovery learning. Second, to describe ofÂ writing argumentative paragraph by using discovery learning. Third, to describe the effect of the first grade students in writing argumentative paragraph by using discovery learning.Based on the analysis of the data, the researcher concluded that, first writing argumentative paragraph without using discovery learning was classified into (C) with averange 63,26. Second, writing argumentative paragraph by using discovery learning was classified into (B) with averange 78,52. ABSTRACTÂ The objectives of this study are three (1) to describe the types of authentic assessment used by Indonesian teachers, (2) to describe the compatibility between authentic assessment and theory in the Curriculum 2013, (3) constraints experienced by Indonesian teachers. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted by observation, interview, and documentation study. The results showed that teachers of SMP Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 2 and SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman have used the type of authentic assessment in the Curriculum 2013. Assessment is done through three aspects, namely attitude aspect, knowledge aspect and skill aspect.Â Kata kunci: implementasi penilaian otentik, jenis-jenis penilaian, mata pelajaran bahasa IndonesiaÂ

Â ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research are three (1) types of authentic assessment used by teachers in Indonesian language subjects in SMP Negeri Payakumbuh, (2) the compatibility between authentic assessment conducted by teachers of Indonesian subjects in SMP Negeri Payakumbuh and theories that exist in Curriculum 2013, (3) the obstacles faced by Indonesian language teachers in SMP Negeri Payakumbuh. This research type is qualitative research using descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted by observation, interview, and documentation study. Based on research findings and research results can be concluded the following three things. (1) Overall type of authentic assessment has been used by Indonesian teachers in SMP Negeri Payakumbuh. (2) Overall the appropriateness between authentic assessment of Indonesian language teachers in SMP Negeri Payakumbuh and the theory that existed in the Curriculum 2013 is good. Pthere is a component of the understanding of the process and the assessment of learning based on data obtained in the study is categorized well. Indonesian teachers SMPN 3 Payakumbuh already understand the process and assessment of learning well. Indonesian language teacher SMPN 5 Payakumbuh already understand the process and assessment of learning well. Indonesian teachers SMPN 8 Payakumbuh already understand the process and assessment of learning well. In the component of the implementation of the assessment of learning based on the data obtained in the study categorized quite well. Indonesian language teacher SMPN 3, 5, and 8 Payakumbuh has conducted a fairly good learning appraisal.Â Kata kunci: Implementasi penilaian otentik, bahasa Indonesia

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study was to describe the development of learning modules for writing exposition text Problem Based Learning model with a valid, practical, and effective . This type of research was the development of research methods of research and development (R&D). This study uses a model of the development of Four-D (4-D) were simplified into 3-D. The results of the study is the product of the learning modules write exposition text model Problem Based Learning for students of class X. The level of validity of the module is 89.66 % with the category of very valid . Level module practicalities by teachers was 90.44 % categorized as very practical . Level practicalities of modules by students was 91.37% categorized as very practical . Values module effectiveness was 87.92 % with a very good category.Â Kata Kunci: pengembangan, problem based learning, eksposisi

ABSTRACTÂ This article was to describe the effects of the using of discovery learning model using audiovisual media toward student of writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang. The method used was experiment method. Based on data analysis it could be concluded three points as follow. First, studentâ€™sÂ writing a news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang was moderate with mean score 73,53 without using of model discovery learning aided audiovisual media. Second, studentsâ€™s writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang using of model discovery learning aided audiovisual media was good with mean score 79,68. Third, based on t-test it could be conclude that there was the effects of model discovery learning using audiovisual media toward studentâ€™s writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang because taritmatic> t table (3,04>1,67).Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, model discovery learning, media audiovisual, menulis berita

This article aims to describe the following two points. First, describe the types of characters in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh. Second, describe the technique of the presence of characters in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh.The type of research used is qualitative research using descriptive method. The instrument of this research is the researcher / writer himself assisted the theoretical books and tables of data analysis. This research data is a language tool in the form of written words taken from the data source. The data in the form of figures and techniques of the presence of characters contained in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh which amounted to 30 texts. The technique of data validation used is triangulation technique. The data analyzing steps are: (1) identifying the general picture of data as well as encoding text, (2) coding the data, (3) analyzing the characters and characterizations in the fantasy story text of the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh by using formats based on theory used, (4) discussion of research data, (5) summarizes the results of research, and (6) reported the results of research in the form of thesis. Based on the research results can be concluded two things. First, the kind of characters that tend to be used by students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh in the fantasy story text that they write is a fictional character, additional characters, white figures, flat figures, and static figures. Second, the technique of presence of characters that tend to be used students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh in the text of the fantasy story they write is analytical techniques, action techniques, and techniques of words.Â Kata kunci: Tokoh, Penokohan, Teks Cerita Fantasi

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research there are three. First, to mendeskripsi and explain the level of writing skills text about a student of class X of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi before applying the scientific approach based modeling techniques. Second, to mendeskripsi and explain the level of writing skills text about a student of class X of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi after applying the scientific approach based modeling techniques. Third, to analyze the effect the application of the technique of modeling-based scientific approach towards writing skills text about a student of class X of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi. Type of this research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The draft study was One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The population in this research is the grade X SMAN 3 Bukittinggi listed year lessons 2017/2018 as many as 238 people. The sample in this study as many as 34 students that are defined by using purposive sampling technique. The research of the variable is a text biography writing skills using the technique of modeling-based scientific approach. The results of the research there are three, i.e. as follows. First, the text of the biography writing skills before using engineering modeling based approach to saintifk grade X SMAN 3 Bukittinggi is at more than enough qualifications (LdC) with an average of 66.62. Second, the skills of writing the text of the biographies after using the technique of modeling scientific-based approach students class X SMAN 3 Bukittinggi is at Good qualifications (B) with an average of 78.83. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received on the standard of 95% and significant degrees of freedom (dk) = (n_1 n_2 +)-2, ttabel > thitung because IE 9.07 > 1.70.Â Kata kunci: teknik pemodelan berbasis pendekatan saintifik, teks biografi, SMAN 3 BukittinggiÂ

ABSTRACTÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The purpose of this study are describe (1) the ability of reading comprehension class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang, (2) the ability to write essays arguing class X students ofÂ SMANegeri 6 Padang, and (3) the correlation between of reading comprehension skills and the ability to write an essay arguing class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang. The data in this study were collected by using an objective test and a performance test. The result of the study are (1) the ability of reading comprehension class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang are in more than enough qualification with the average value 71.04, (2) the ability to write essays arguing class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang are more than enough to qualify with the average value 75.81, (3) there was a significant correlation between of reading comprehension skills with the ability to write an argument essay class X SMA Negeri 6 Padang because based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at 95% significance level and degrees of freedom n-1 with t count> t table, which is 7.37> 1.70. ABSTRACTÂ This article was written that has purpose to describe the kind of social critic in the Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2014. The research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Sources of data in this study is the short stories contained in the book of Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2014, published by Kompas, Jakarta, second edition, August 2015. Social criticism found in this study, namely (1) the problem of poverty, (2) the problem of evil, (3) the problem of disorganization family, (4) problems young people in modern society, (5) the violation of the norms of society, (6) problems of population, (7) environmental problems, (8) the issue of religion and belief, and (9) the problem of bureaucracy.Â Kata kunci: kritik sosial, cerpen, kualitatif, deskriptif
