Abstract

Nutritional status is an important health indicator that can be assessed through Body Mass Index (BMI), however this parameter has limitations in describing visceral fat distribution associated with metabolic disease risk. Waist circumference is a more sensitive indicator for identifying central obesity. This study aims to determine the description of nutritional status, waist circumference, and the relationship between nutritional status and waist circumference among the academic community at YARSI University and its review according to Islamic perspective. This study is a quantitative analytic research with cross-sectional design involving 74 respondents aged 20-60 years. Primary data were obtained through direct measurements using stature meter, body weight scale, and measuring tape. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with Spearman correlation test. The results showed that 75.6% of respondents had excess nutritional status with obesity II (45.9%) and obesity I (29.7%), exceeding the national prevalence of 21.8%. The majority of respondents had excess waist circumference, namely 51.4% women (>80 cm) and 29.7% men (>90 cm). The relationship between BMI and waist circumference overall was not significant (r = 0.172; p = 0.144), but showed a moderate and significant positive relationship in the analysis based on gender, namely men (r = 0.544; p = 0.005) and women (r = 0.569; p = 0.000). This study concludes that BMI cannot be used alone in assessing body fat distribution, therefore waist circumference measurement needs to be used as an additional indicator to detect central obesity risk. From an Islamic perspective, maintaining nutritional balance is an implementation of the principles of halalan tayyiban and the prohibition of isrāf as commanded in the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research aims for explore draft mathematics in Tombi-Tombi Mandar, accessories traditional from the Mandar Tribe, as source study in perspective ethnomathematics. This study uses approach qualitative with method ethnography for understand integration culture local in learning mathematics. Data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at the Mandar Museum, Majene, west Sulawesi. The results of the study show that various type Tombi-Tombi Mandar, such as Tombi A'di-A'di , Tombi Ana'i, Tombi Cucur, Tombi Bu'ang, and Tombi Jijir, contain draft geometry and patterns numbers. The concept of square, rectangle, semicircle, circle, triangle, and parallelogram, and repeating patterns. This finding confirms importance integration culture in learning mathematics for increase understanding student at a time to preserve cultural heritage. By utilizing Tombi-Tombi Mandar as source learning, expected learning mathematics become more contextual, interesting, and meaningful.

Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan elemen fundamental dalam membangun dan menjaga hubungan masyarakat (public relations) antara lembaga dan publiknya. Melalui komunikasi yang efektif, lembaga dapat menyampaikan informasi secara jelas, membangun kepercayaan, serta membentuk citra positif di tengah masyarakat. Perkembangan globalisasi dan teknologi informasi telah menyebabkan arus komunikasi menjadi semakin cepat, terbuka, dan kompleks, sehingga menuntut lembaga untuk mampu mengelola pesan secara tepat, etis, dan bertanggung jawab. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konsep komunikasi yang baik dalam hubungan masyarakat, mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip dan etika komunikasi yang efektif, menganalisis faktor-faktor penghambat dalam proses komunikasi, serta mendeskripsikan strategi dalam membangun komunikasi yang harmonis dan produktif dengan masyarakat. Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan, baik berupa buku, jurnal ilmiah, maupun referensi pendukung lainnya. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dua arah yang dilandasi oleh kejelasan pesan, keterbukaan informasi, empati, dan kejujuran merupakan kunci utama dalam membangun hubungan masyarakat yang sehat dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, tantangan komunikasi di era digital, seperti penyebaran informasi palsu (hoaks) dan krisis opini publik, dapat diatasi melalui peningkatan literasi digital, transparansi informasi, serta penerapan manajemen komunikasi yang profesional. Dengan demikian, komunikasi yang efektif tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana pertukaran informasi, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen strategis dalam memperkuat kepercayaan publik, membangun citra positif lembaga, dan menciptakan hubungan sosial yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Community health centers play an important role in the national health system, particularly in the provision of primary health care. Patient dissatisfaction with health care is an issue that often arises in various experiences and observations. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of satisfaction of BPJS participants with health care at community health centers. A cross-sectional study design was used in this study. The study was conducted at the Sudiang Raya Community Health Center. The research was conducted in August 2024. The population consisted of all BPJS patients who received health services at the Sudiang Raya Community Health Center in the city. The sample consisted of 94 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods. The results showed a relationship between responsiveness (p value: 0.015) and empathy (p value: 0.039) and the satisfaction of BPJS Kesehatan patients. It is recommended that the Community Health Center make improvements, particularly regarding responsiveness and empathy, by providing training in communication skills to health workers so that the information provided can be accepted and easily understood by patients and their families, as well as providing fairness to every customer and understanding customer needs. Keywords: BPJS, Empathy, Responsiveness, Community Health Center

Abstract

This study advances Islamic educational leadership theory by examining the integration of spirituality, ethics, and innovation as a holistic leadership model in Islamic secondary education. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, the research was conducted at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung. Quantitative data were collected from 120 teachers and staff to measure leadership practices across spiritual, ethical, and innovative dimensions. Regression analysis showed that spirituality and ethics were the strongest predictors of leadership effectiveness, while innovation, although positively perceived, had a relatively weaker influence. To deepen these findings, qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, complemented by document analysis. Thematic analysis revealed that leadership practices are strongly rooted in spiritual awareness, moral integrity, and participatory decision-making, reflecting fundamental Islamic values. Innovation was mainly evident in instructional practices, such as blended learning and the use of digital platforms, but was less integrated into administrative and organizational leadership. Identified challenges included limited technological infrastructure, uneven digital literacy, and resistance to organizational change. This study proposes a holistic and transferable framework of Islamic educational leadership in which spirituality provides moral orientation, ethics ensures accountability and justice, and innovation supports adaptive responses to contemporary challenges. The findings contribute to leadership theory by highlighting that transformational change in Islamic educational settings is primarily guided by spiritual and ethical accountability rather than managerial efficiency alone, offering valuable insights for leadership development and policy formulation in Islamic education beyond the local context.

Abstract

Abstrak: Era digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam sektor pertanian. Dalam era digital, e-commerce menawarkan peluang besar bagi petani untuk memperluas akses pasar, meningkatkan efisiensi pemasaran, dan mengoptimalkan manajemen usaha. Kelompok Wanita Tani Makmur Jaya di Desa Temiang menghadapi kendala utama dalam memanfaatkan platform e-commerce untuk pemasaran nenas. Tujuan pengabdian ini meningkatkan pengetahuan Kelompok Wanita Tani Makmur Jaya menggunakan e-commerce. Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan, diskusi, dan pendampingan monitoring maupun kontroling. Mitra pengabdian ini pemerintah desa dan Kelompok Wanita Tani Makmur Jaya dengan partisipasi 40 peserta di Desa Temiang. Sistem evaluasi dilakukan dua bentuk, yaitu melalui pre dan posttest selama kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, peningkatan kemampuan teknis, pengetahuan, berkomunikasi atau mendapatkan informasi melalui e-commerce. Mayoritas 90% peserta tahu tentang konten fungsi dan aktif menggunakan e-commerce, serta 10% paham mengelola e-commerce.Abstract: The digital era has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including the agricultural sector. In the digital era, e-commerce offers great opportunities for farmers to expand market access, increase marketing efficiency and optimize business management. The Makmur Jaya Women Farmers Group in Temiang Village faces major obstacles in utilizing e-commerce platforms for marketing pineapples. The aim of this service is to increase the knowledge of the Makmur Jaya Women's Farmers Group using e-commerce. The methods used are training, discussion, and monitoring and supervision assistance. The service partners are the village government and the Makmur Jaya Farming Women's Group with the participation of 40 participants in Temiang Village. The evaluation system is carried out in two forms, namely through pre and posttests during service activities. The results of this activity are increased technical skills, knowledge, communication or obtaining information through e-commerce. The majority, 90% of participants, know about functional content and actively use e-commerce, and 10% understand managing e-commerce.

Abstract

This study aims to map trends in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools for the 2021-2025 period, analyze technology integration, and identify future research opportunities. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 33 scientific articles using the PRISMA protocol. The results showed that the learning model trend was dominated by a constructivist approach, with the Inquiry model being the most dominant (11 articles), followed by Problem-Based Learning (7 articles) and Discovery Learning (6 articles). Learning strategies shifted towards Digital-Based Learning and gamification through group discussions, environmental observation, and innovative methods such as Window Shopping. Technology integration through digital media such as Augmented Reality (AR), Canva, and gamification platforms (Kahoot, Quizizz, Wordwall) was proven effective in increasing learning motivation by up to 93.23%, strengthening student engagement, and visualizing abstract concepts concretely. Despite the positive impact, the main challenge lies in the stability of internet infrastructure. Future research opportunities include exploring cooperative models such as Student Facilitator and Explainer (SFAE) and developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) variables. In conclusion, the synergy between active learning models and interactive digital media is key to effective science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kepuasan pasien menjadi salah satu indikator penting dalam menilai keberhasilan pelayanan rumah sakit, termasuk pelayanan gizi. Pelayanan gizi rawat inap di rumah sakit wajib memenuhi Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM) gizi, seperti ketepatan pemberian diet dan ketepatan waktu pemberian makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ketepatan pemberian diet dan ketepatan waktu pemberian makanan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien rawat inap di RSUD H. Abdul Aziz Marabahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi sekaligus sampel penelitian adalah 62 pasien rawat inap di ruang Penyakit Dalam yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi (total sampling). Variabel dependen adalah tingkat kepuasan pasien, sedangkan variabel independen adalah ketepatan pemberian diet dan ketepatan waktu pemberian makanan. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Spearman Rank dengan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan pasien sebesar 87,1%, ketepatan pemberian diet sebesar 88,7%, dan ketepatan waktu pemberian makanan sebesar 83,9%. Uji statistik menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara ketepatan pemberian diet dengan kepuasan pasien (p = 0,001; r = 0,40) serta terdapat hubungan antara ketepatan waktu pemberian makanan dengan kepuasan pasien (p = 0,001; r = 0,59). Disarankan rumah sakit memperkuat alur pelayanan gizi dan koordinasi antarprofesi untuk meningkatkan ketepatan diet dan ketepatan waktu pemberian makanan, sehingga kepuasan pasien dapat dipertahankan dan ditingkatkan.

Abstract

National border regions constitute liminal spaces where social norms and morality are contested. This article analyzes the dynamics of syiqaq (persistent marital disputes) and divorce in Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan, a border area experiencing the erosion of family resilience due to digital transformation. This study aims to explore the shifting causality of divorce, judicial discretion in interpreting syiqaq, and the effectiveness of mediation. Employing a qualitative socio-legal approach within a post-positivist paradigm, the study integrates analysis of court verdicts from 2022-2024 with in-depth interviews with judges, mediators, and litigants. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with source triangulation. Findings reveal a fundamental shift in divorce causality from economic factors toward the dominance of a digital morality crisis, particularly online gambling and social media-facilitated infidelity. Judges exercised progressive ijtihad by expanding the interpretation of syiqaq to accommodate new social pathologies, validated through SEMA No. 3 of 2023. However, mediation proved systemically ineffective in morally driven cases due to formalistic approaches that fail to address psychological trauma. It is concluded that family resilience in border areas requires a comprehensive revitalization of social ethics beyond formal legal intervention.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) often face fundamental challenges in business professionalism, particularly related to suboptimal product branding and the absence of formal legality. These conditions significantly hinder the competitiveness and market access of MSMEs in an increasingly competitive environment. This community service activity aims to assist Kedai Permai MSME in Kampung Kayu Ara Permai in professionalizing its business through two strategic interventions: improving product label design and facilitating the issuance of a Business Identification Number (NIB) as well as a Home Industry Food Production Certificate (P-IRT). The method used is participatory mentoring, involving active collaboration with the business owner from the conceptual design stage, technical facilitation, up to the issuance of legal documents. The outcomes of this activity include the creation of a new label design that is more informative and visually appealing for mangrove dodol and syrup products, as well as the successful acquisition of NIB and P-IRT by Kedai Permai MSME. These achievements represent a strategic step that not only enhances brand identity and consumer trust but also expands market access and establishes a solid foundation for sustainable business growth.
