Abstract

This article discusses the utilization of household organic waste in Berancah Village, Bengkalis Regency, into Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) and eco-enzyme as a solution for sustainable agriculture. The objectives were to increase public awareness and skills in managing organic waste, reduce agricultural production costs, and support environmental sustainability. The method used was a workshop including counseling, identification of raw materials, and practical training in making POC and eco-enzyme using rice washing water and EM4 bio-activator. The fermentation process was monitored for 14 days. The results showed that the community successfully produced POC and eco-enzyme, which are beneficial for enhancing plant growth and improving soil quality. This activity proved to reduce the volume of organic waste while providing an affordable and environmentally friendly fertilizer alternative, thus supporting agricultural productivity and the ecosystem in Berancah Village.

Abstract

Characterized by rapid technological progress, education today demands teachers who are not only digitally literate but also capable of fostering computational thinking (CT) in students. However, many elementary teachers still face challenges in integrating coding and STEM principles into classroom learning. This community service program was designed to empower elementary school teachers in Bengkalis Regency through the integration of STEM-based coding to enhance their CT skills. The two-day program involved 50 teachers from 22 schools and employed a combination of conceptual sessions on deep learning and CT, unplugged coding practices using Kids First Coding and Robotics (Smart Bricks), plug-in coding practices with Scratch for Arduino (S4A) and workshops to develop STEM-based science lesson plans (RPP) showcased through microteaching. Results revealed an average post-test CT score of 79.3, with 82% of teachers achieving mastery (≥70). Teachers successfully created innovative lesson plans integrating CT into science topics such as phase changes of matter and the solar system. The microteaching sessions showed that participants could contextualize coding-STEM learning effectively. Teacher reflections emphasized the need for continuous training, sufficient facilities, and the establishment of a coding-STEM teacher community. In conclusion, integrating STEM-based coding effectively enhanced teachers’ CT skills and pedagogical competence while supporting the goals of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Aktivitas fisik memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan energi tubuh dan mencegah obesitas sentral yang ditandai dengan peningkatan lingkar pinggang. Rendahnya aktivitas fisik merupakan salah satu faktor risiko penyakit degeneratif dan, dalam perspektif Islam, dipandang bertentangan dengan prinsip pemeliharaan kesehatan sebagai amanah dari Allah SWT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat aktivitas fisik, gambaran lingkar pinggang, serta hubungan antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan lingkar pinggang pada Civitas Akademika Universitas YARSI, termasuk tinjauannya menurut pandangan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif analitik observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 73 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) dan pengukuran lingkar pinggang secara langsung. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat aktivitas fisik sedang (69,9%), dengan 52,1% responden memiliki lingkar pinggang normal. Uji Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dan lingkar pinggang (r = -0,342; p = 0,003). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan aktivitas fisik berhubungan dengan penurunan lingkar pinggang. Dalam pandangan Islam, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya menjaga aktivitas fisik sebagai bagian dari upaya memelihara kesehatan tubuh, sejalan dengan prinsip hifẓ an-nafs dalam maqāṣid syarī‘ah.

Abstract

This study aims to map trends in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools for the 2021-2025 period, analyze technology integration, and identify future research opportunities. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 33 scientific articles using the PRISMA protocol. The results showed that the learning model trend was dominated by a constructivist approach, with the Inquiry model being the most dominant (11 articles), followed by Problem-Based Learning (7 articles) and Discovery Learning (6 articles). Learning strategies shifted towards Digital-Based Learning and gamification through group discussions, environmental observation, and innovative methods such as Window Shopping. Technology integration through digital media such as Augmented Reality (AR), Canva, and gamification platforms (Kahoot, Quizizz, Wordwall) was proven effective in increasing learning motivation by up to 93.23%, strengthening student engagement, and visualizing abstract concepts concretely. Despite the positive impact, the main challenge lies in the stability of internet infrastructure. Future research opportunities include exploring cooperative models such as Student Facilitator and Explainer (SFAE) and developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) variables. In conclusion, the synergy between active learning models and interactive digital media is key to effective science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Merokok merupakan salah satu perilaku yang banyak ditemukan di kalangan remaja dan menjadi masalah kesehatan yang cukup serius. Perilaku merokok tidak hanya berdampak pada kesehatan fisik, tetapi juga memberikan pengaruh terhadap kondisi psikologis individu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan secara deskriptif tingkat ketergantungan merokok pada remaja beserta dampak yang ditimbulkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode survei dengan penyebaran kuesioner secara daring. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja dengan rentang usia 15 sampai 24 tahun dengan jumlah sampel 54 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan responden ketergantungan nikotin dengan kategori sedang, yaitu sebanyak 36 (66,67%), kategori rendah sebanyak 18 (33,33%), dan tidak terdapat responden dengan kategori yang tinggi.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires a transformation of character learning that aligns with the learning characteristics of elementary school students. However, character learning is still predominantly conventional and has not optimally utilized interactive digital media. This study aims to analyze the transformation of character literacy through interactive digital comics as a learning innovation in elementary schools. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on PRISMA guidelines. Of the 243 identified articles, 7 articles were analyzed using bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer and thematic analysis. The results indicate that interactive digital comics effectively support the transformation of character literacy through the integration of reading, visual, and digital literacy, as well as increasing students’ learning interest and engagement. This study recommends the use of interactive digital comics in character learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan studi terhadap dialektika relasi antara syariah dan negara-bangsa dalam perspektif Abdullahi Ahmed An-Na‘im, dengan fokus pada isu kewargaan (citizenship), maqaṣid, dan public reason. Lahirnya negara-bangsa modern (nation-state) dengan prinsip kesetaraan kewargaan dipandang problematik ketika dihadapkan dengan syariah historis yang menyisakan diferensiasi status sosial-keagamaan. Melalui penelitian normatif dengan pendekatan filosofis terhadap karya-karya utama An-Na‘im, studi ini menemukan bahwa An-Na‘im menolak baik model penyatuan agama dan negara maupun sekularisme yang menyingkirkan agama dari ruang publik. Ia mengajukan format alternatif berupa keterpisahan agama dan negara sebagai institusi formal di satu sisi, sekaligus keterhubungan agama dengan politik melalui mekanisme nalar publik (public reason) dalam bingkai konstitusionalisme dan hak asasi manusia, di sisi yang lain. Dalam kerangka tersebut, maqaṣid  diposisikan sebagai mediator normatif yang menerjemahkan nilai-nilai universal syariah: keadilan, kesetaraan, dan kemaslahatan, ke dalam kebijakan publik dan standar kewargaan secara inklusif. Studi ini juga mengkritik corak maqaṣid utilitarian yang berorientasi pada kemanfaatan terbesar, karena berpotensi melanggengkan eksklusi terhadap kelompok minoritas. Dengan menafsirkan maqaṣid dalam paradigma HAM, An-Na‘im menawarkan model relasi syariah-negara yang kompatibel dengan prinsip kewargaan ala negara-bangsa (nation-state).

Abstract

The practice of online buying and selling in Indonesia is increasingly growing along with advancements in digital technology. However, it is crucial to ensure that these transactions align with Sharia principles, particularly in a predominantly Muslim society. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Sharia principles in online trading practices in Indonesia, focusing on aspects of justice, honesty, and transparency. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature reviews and in-depth interviews with Sharia business practitioners and Muslim consumers. The research findings indicate that most e-commerce platforms in Indonesia have adopted Sharia principles, although challenges remain in implementation, particularly regarding misleading advertisements and usurious transactions. The study concludes that strengthening regulations and providing education to consumers and business actors are necessary to ensure compliance with Sharia principles in online transactions. The implications of these findings suggest that the government and relevant institutions need to enhance oversight of online trading practices to prevent violations of Sharia principles. Additionally, e-commerce entrepreneurs are encouraged to provide educational features that help consumers select products and conduct transactions in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

Glofish Tetra (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi) is a transgenic product of tetra fish in which a fluorescent gene from jellyfish is inserted into the fish egg genome, resulting in heritable expression of fluorescent protein. Currently, glofish is one of the most sought-after ornamental fish commodities, so it has high economic potential in the cultivation sector. The success of ornamental fish cultivation is influenced by the quality and type of feed given from the larval to broodstock phase. This study aims to determine the effect of providing different types and combinations of natural feed on the growth and survival of glofish tetra larvae. This research was conducted for 40 days in May - July 2025, located at the Fish Breeding and Cultivation Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru. The method used in this study was an experimental method using a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment levels and 3 repetitions. The larvae used in the study were 7 days old and underwent feed adaptation for 2 days from the results of natural spawning carried out at the Fish Spawning and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Riau. Feeding is done with a frequency of three times a day, namely at 08.00, 12.00, and 17.00 WIB, and is given to the larvae using the ad-satiation method. The parameters measured in this study were absolute length and absolute weight growth, larval growth rate, larval survival, larval response to feed and water quality. The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) test showed that providing different types and combinations of natural feed had a significant effect (P<0.05) on absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate and survival of glofish tetra larvae. The best treatment was P2 (AR2T4) with an absolute length of 2.34±0,01cd cm and an absolute body weight of 0.4409±0,0070c g, a specific growth rate of 2.85±0,025d %, and a survival rate of 95,00±1,67b %. The water quality in this study was classified as optimal, with temperatures ranging from 25.9 to 27.1 °C, pH 6.3 to 6.4, and DO 5.43 to 6.58 mg/L.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low understanding of the material on faith and morals. Learning is still conducted conventionally without engaging media. This makes students less active and easily bored. Therefore, video media is used to improve their understanding. This study aims to improve student understanding using instructional videos. This study is a non-participant Classroom Action Research (CAR). The author acts as an observer, while the teacher acts as the implementer. The study was conducted in two cycles in class V of MI Ilman Nafian. The research results showed an increase in student understanding from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle II, students were more active and their post-test scores improved. The gradual video and discussion strategies proved effective. Students were also more focused when watching and completing the worksheets. In conclusion, video media can improve students' understanding of faith and morals. Videos make learning more engaging and easier to understand. Teachers are advised to use media that suits the characteristics of their students. Appropriate media encourages more active and meaningful learning.
