Abstract

Early childhood represents a golden period that is vital for the development of all aspects of a child’s abilities, particularly language skills. Speaking ability plays a central role as it serves as a child’s primary means of communication and social interaction. However, not all children achieve speech milestones appropriate for their age. Speech delays can negatively affect social, emotional, and academic growth if not identified early. This study aims to identify speech delays in early childhood through classroom interactions and to analyze the role of teachers in early detection and stimulation of language skills. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved ten children aged 4–6 years at Siti Khadijah Kindergarten. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings revealed that two children showed signs of speech delay, characterized by limited vocabulary, unclear pronunciation, and difficulty forming simple sentences. The main contributing factors were a lack of verbal stimulation at home and excessive gadget use, which reduced direct communication. Activities such as circle time, role-playing, and storytelling were found effective for detecting and stimulating speech development. Teachers play a crucial role as early detection agents, working collaboratively with parents to ensure continuous stimulation at home. Strengthening teachers’ capacity to observe, identify, and support children with speech delays is essential for promoting optimal language development.

Abstract

Child growth and development detection is a comprehensive screening process that aims to identify early potential problems or developmental delays in early childhood. Through standardized detection instruments, health workers and educators can monitor the achievement of child development milestones in various domains, including motor, language, cognitive, and social-emotional. When detection results indicate irregularities, early intervention in the form of personalized stimulation becomes crucial. Effective stimulation is based on a deep understanding of the child's individual needs and is designed to stimulate areas of development that are delayed. Longitudinal research shows that children who receive early stimulation interventions after growth and development problems are detected show significant improvements in adaptive abilities, social interactions, and academic achievement later in life. Therefore, the integration of child growth and development detection into the health service system and early childhood education is an important investment to create a healthy, intelligent, and competitive generation. In addition, collaboration between parents, teachers, and health workers is needed so that the monitoring and stimulation process can take place consistently, directed, and sustainable to support the optimization of children's growth and development.

Abstract

The Ministry of National Education has declared excellence scholarship program, one kind of these excellence scholarships is P3SWOT. P3SWOT is an excellence scholarship given to researcher, writer, creator, artist, journalist, athlete, and figure. As a holder of P3SWOT excellence scholarship, the Secretary of Excellence Scholarship, Bureau Planning and International Cooperation, the Ministry of National Education has been taking the advantage of the information technology by building a website that provides registration information, a registration form that can be downloaded by registrant, and the announcement of the scholarship winners. However, the website is not optimal because it is static. The selection mechanism of P3SWOT excellence scholarship still has some problems. Recently there are ineffective registration and unintegrated scholarship registration data. The online selection of P3SWOT excellence scholarship information system was developed to solve those problems. This information system was developed using Unified Process. Unified Process is an object oriented software development process that consists of five workflows. They are requirement, analysis, design, implementation, and test. This information system was built using PHP 5 programming language and MySQL 5 database management system. This information system can be used to handle the selection of P3SWOT excellence scholarship including registration, registration verification and scoring, deciding the winners, and reporting.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital technology is transforming educational practices, enhancing accessibility and interactivity through innovations like augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI). This study aims to develop the PDBI Tour application, an AR-based navigation tool integrated with speech recognition, to improve campus accessibility for new students and promote Politeknik Digital Boash Indonesia, a vocational education in Bogor Regency. A Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) methodology was adopted, comprising initiation, pre-production, production, testing, beta, and release phases. Data were collected through interviews with promotional teams and prospective students, and prototype design was created using Figma, while Unity was used for production with AR Foundation and Whisper API. Functional testing (black box) confirmed reliable navigation features, and usability testing yielded a 65% satisfaction rate from 25 respondents representation of students in PDBI aged 18-20 years who had tried the prototype, highlighting effectiveness in usability, playability, and accessibility. These findings indicate that the PDBI Tour application prototype meets user needs and offers potential as an immersive navigation and promotional tool. This research demonstrates the GDLC approach’s efficacy in enhancing application development through iterative improvements, validating AR navigation as a powerful tool for interactive and accessible campus experiences.
