Abstract

Siak weaving is a work of art resulting from the manufacture of songket cloth by craftsmen in Siak Sri Indrapura, Riau Province. This fabric has a variety of motifs, displaying the characteristics of Riau Malay culture. The motifs on Siak woven fabrics are generally taken from the natural environment, such as plants, animals, and other natural objects, which are then twisted (transformed) into interesting motifs, arranged systematically that form geometric patterns. Descriptive qualitative research was conducted, by collecting data and information related to Siak woven motifs through observation and interviews with parties at the Siak woven fabric production center. Identification is carried out on all existing Siak woven fabric motifs to find out whether there is an application of geometric transformation in these woven fabric motifs. From the results of observation and identification, as many as 58 types of motifs were obtained in siak weaving. If observed carefully, the pattern of the arrangement of the motifs of the fabric, there are actually rhythmic and patterned properties of regularity.  Some forms of regularity patterns on Siak woven fabrics are applications of geometric transformations. Some are in the form of reflection, rotation, translation, and dilatation.

Abstract

Research in both ICT and RME is expanding at a breakneck pace. The growth of research in engineering can be tracked by one type of analysis known as bibliometric analysis. This analysis can be used to identify the number of scholarly publications on ICT and RME. This study is of a quantitative and descriptive nature. Researchers are interested in examining the development of ICT and RME, as well as the distribution pattern of publications in Scopus, which is based on research affiliations, research themes, and scientific journals. For the goals of data analysis, reduction, visualization, and mapping, respectively, Bibliometrix R-tool and BiblioShiny were utilized throughout the course of this research. Scopus bibliometric study finds that between the years 1999 and 2022, there was a shift in the number of research articles that could be located in the Scopus online database that were associated with ICT and RME. The year 2020 was the year that this publication - Journal on Education and Information Technologies - reached its zenith. In terms of the quantity of documents generated, research in the fields of ICT  is dominated by writers from the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

Abstract

This study intends to carry out a bibliometric analysis to answer the following research questions: What is the annual increase in publications of constructionism, constructivism, and computational thinking, and mathematics education?; Who are the most prolific writers of constructionism, constructivism, computational thinking, and mathematics education?; Which the most countries in the fields of constructivism, constructivism, computational thinking, and  mathematics education?; Who are the most frequently cited scientists? In the end, the biblioAnalysis function generates descriptive data from bibliographic data. Thus, this description has explained that these keywords are sufficient to describe the use of theory in learning computational thinking and mathematics. After we have completed our mapping, we will have a combined framework at our disposal, which will allow us to gain a deeper understanding of the possible connections that exist between constructionism, constructivism, computational thinking, and mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi standar proses kurikulum sekolah penggerak dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis aspek-aspek pada komponen modul ajar yang telah guru rancang sebelumnya berpedoman pada dokumen-dokuman asli pemerintah yang didapat oleh guru pada saat pelaksanaan pelatihan sekolah penggerak. Dalam penyusunan modul ajar ini kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru diantaranya yaitu pada saat proses penyusunannya membutuhkan waktu yang sedikit lama. Hal tersebut karena format modul ajar ini berbeda dengan RPP yang dikembangkan pada Kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada modul ajar, modul ajar yang dirancang oleh guru sesuai dengan pedoman yang telah diberikan pemerintah, tetapi terdapat aspek-aspek pada komponen modul ajar yang belum lengkap yakni dalam merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, pendekatan pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran, pertanyaan pemantik, pemahaman bermakna, materi yang akan disampaikan serta alokasi waktu.

Abstract

Several studies in the field of elementary education have examined the preparedness of elementary education to meet the challenges of the 4.0 industrial revolution. Unfortunately, there are currently no data that can be considered conclusive regarding the number of international publications pertaining to elementary education in Indonesia. The current study detailed the progress of elementary mathematics education research from the past to the present. Utilizing a literature review methodology, the study determined elementary mathematics education research trends in Indonesia. Then, a bibliometric analysis was conducted with the R package Biblioshiny to evaluate related articles in order to identify research trends, topics, and keywords. This study revealed that among all affiliations and authors, Sriwijaya University's Elementary Mathematics Education is the most influential. The term retrospective analysis currently leads the trend in elementary mathematics education research keyword usage

Abstract

Kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami dan menerapkan konsep turunan dapat berpotensi menimbulkan hambatan belajar (learning obstacles). Hal ini berakibat pada pemerolehan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang konsep terkait yang kurang maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis learning obstacle yang muncul pada konsep turunan pada jenis ontologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika semester 1 yang sudah mengikuti perkuliahan Kalkulus Diferensial. Data diperoleh dengan memberikan tes dan melakukan wawancara. Triangulasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah triangulasi tekhnik yang dilakukan dengan membandingkan informasi atau data pada sumber yang sama dengan tekhnik berbeda. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mengklarifikasi adanya learning obstacles pada konsep turunan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat hambatan ontogenik konseptual, instrumental, dan psikologis. Secara umum, learning obstacles ini merupakan pertimbangan bagi pendidik dalam merancang desain didaktis pada konsep turunan

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu: 1) mengkaji pengaruh kemampuan spasial matematis terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa; 2) mengkaji pengaruh kemampuan representasi matematis terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa; 3) mengkaji pengaruh kemampuan representasi matematis terhadap kemampuan spasial matematis siswa; dan 4) mengkaji pengaruh tidak langsung kemampuan representasi terhadap kemampuan koneksi melalui kemampuan spasial matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Desain yang digunakan adalah model struktural dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan PLS-SEM. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri Tanjungsari dengan sampel sebanyak 30 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kemampuan spasial matematis tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa; 2) kemampuan representasi matematis berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa; 3) kemampuan representasi matematis berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan spasial matematis siswa; dan 4) kemampuan representasi tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan koneksi melalui kemampuan spasial matematis siswa. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Spasial Matematis, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis.

Abstract

Selama 10 tahun terakhir, telah banyak studi mengenai penerapan strategi REACT terhadap kemampuan komunikasi. Namun dari penelitian studi primer belum menjelaskan secara menyeluruh mengenai pengaruh karakteristik studi yang memiliki peran dalam tingkat variasi antar studi. Penelitian   ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh strategi REACT terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa di Indonesia. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode meta analisis. Pengumpulan data  dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi jurnal yang telah dipublikasikan di jurnal nasional, jurnal internasional dan prosiding. Berdasarkan kriteria inklusi diperoleh 12 artikel yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan software Comprehensive Meta Analysis (CMA) dan model efek acak sebagai metode estimasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan model efek acak pada effect size secara keseluruhan dari penerapan strategi REACT terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa adalah 1,040 termasuk kategori efek sangat tinggi. Karakteristik studi dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenjang pendidikan, tahun penelitian, dan ukuran sampel. Hasil analisis statistik dari karakteristik studi menunjukkan bahwa jenjang pendidikan, tahun publikasi, dan ukuran sampel tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ketika menerapkan strategi REACT. Penerapan strategi REACT secara keseluruhan lebih efektif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many mistakes made by students in solving problem-solving questions. The purpose of this research was conducted to see the causes of student errors in solving problem-solving questions based on kastolan error analysis theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The instrumented object in this study involved 4 students of class XI MIA 5. The sample selection technique uses purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study were tests and interviews.The test results were obtained from a problem-solving ability test through creative problem-solving learning on linear programming material. Based on the results of the many errors found in the indicator, presenting mathematical situations in various ways and knowing the differences, and developing the concepts that have been studied. The types of errors that students have made in answering the problem included conceptual error, procedural error, and technical error

Abstract

The 21st-century era, marked by the rapid development of information technology, requires students to be adaptive and have several skills that must be mastered to be able to compete in today's era. The important skills in the 21st century or so-called The 4C-skills consist of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, in general containing specific skills that need to be empowered in learning activities, such as problem-solving skills, critical thinking, communication skills, collaborating, innovation and creation, literacy, information metacognition, and various other skills. However, the reality in the field is based on the results of TIMSS and PISA, where this test measures the mathematics, science, and literacy skills of developed and developing countries, Indonesia's ranking is still in the lowest rank. The method used in this research is the literature study method, which examines the STEM principles, implementation strategies, and their prospects for improving scientific literacy skills. Based on the results, the success key while implementing STEM in the classroom is to prepare STEM educators with a conceptual understanding of the principles, frameworks, and strategies of integrated STEM implementation and learning theories from the four STEM fields. It should be integrated to increase the pedagogical skills and to mastery the technology as a learning support. Also, the development of professional experience for teachers in implementing STEM in various cross-materials is needed to provide a strong conceptual framework of an integrated STEM approach and build their confidence in teaching an integrated STEM approach. Hopefully, this article can provide a comprehensive overview of improving scientific literacy as one of the keys to improving the quality of quality education in Indonesia.
