Abstract

Religious and moral development is essential to early childhood education; therefore, it is necessary to implement development strategies. This study aimed to explain the strategy for fostering young children's religious and moral development. This is qualitative research employing a literature review methodology. Collecting articles, reducing articles, presenting articles, explaining articles, and drawing conclusions comprised the data analysis technique. The findings revealed that media for fostering religious and moral development include Alqur'an learning media, digital animation media, Educational Game Tools, BEAT application media, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), VCDs, and student worksheets. While the strategies for developing religious and moral aspects in young children are exemplary, they include playing while learning, the Montessori method, the PAIKEM model, behavior development, habituation, storytelling, demonstration methods, and programs for character education. In conclusion, the strategy for fostering religious and moral development in young children can be implemented through various media and instructional techniques.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has not been fully optimized in early childhood education, particularly in developing children’s communication skills. In the digital era, mastery of modern technology is a potential means to support the stimulation of children's social and communication abilities. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of immersive virtual reality technology in enhancing early childhood communication skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design using a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The study involved 181 children selected through random sampling techniques. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through prerequisite tests and t-tests. The results indicated a significant improvement in children's communication skills after receiving treatment with immersive virtual reality technology, with the average pre-test score increasing from 18.35 to 27.35 in the post-test. The t-test result obtained a significance value of 0.048 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in communication skills between the experimental and control groups. These findings suggest that immersive virtual reality has the potential to be an effective innovative learning medium for developing early childhood communication skills. The implication of this research recommends integrating immersive technology into early childhood education programs to optimally support socio-emotional development.

Abstract

Importance of fostering scientific ability in young children through engaging and tangible learning experiences inspired this study. Simple experiments, like those employing eggs as a medium, can be a useful tool. Finding out how the egg experiment affected the scientific knowledge of kindergarteners at Taman Kanak-kanak Negeri Pembina 01 Sutera was the driving force for this study. Acquiring and applying scientific information, methods, and perspectives are all part of these scientific abilities. It was a quantitative research that employed a quasi-experimental design. The sample was drawn from two classes, B1 and B2, each with eleven children, and the population was comprised of all pupils at Taman Kanak-kanak Perguruan Islam. Interviews, documentation, and organized observation were the methods used to gather data. Utilizing SPSS 25.0 for Windows, the data underwent analysis through hypothesis testing (t-test), normality tests, and homogeneity tests. The results demonstrated that compared to the control class, the experimental group, who utilized the egg experiment method, exhibited superior scientific competency. The control group's average gain score was 11.09 whereas the experimental group's was 12.90. A statistically significant difference was shown by the significance value (2-tailed), which was 0.02 < 0.05. It follows that the egg experiment is an effective tool for fostering scientific literacy in young children.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder caused by pancreatic dysfunction, characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to decreased insulin production by pancreatic beta cells. This study aimed to evaluate the antihyperglycemic activity of torch ginger tea (Etlingera elatior (Jack.) R.M.Sm.) in male white mice (Mus musculus) using the glucose tolerance method. The mice were divided into control and treatment groups, receiving torch ginger tea at doses of 1,25 gram/KgBW, 2,5 gram/KgBW, and 5 gram/KgBW. The tea was administered orally, followed by glucose induction 30 minutes later. Blood glucose levels were measured over 4 hours at 30-minute intervals. Statistical analysis showed significant differences between the treatment groups and the negative control at all tested doses (p = 0.00; p < 0.05). These results indicate that torch ginger tea at doses of 1,25 gram/KgBW, 2,5 gram/ KgBW, and 5 gram/KgBW exhibits antihyperglycemic activity in male white mice (Mus musculus) based on the glucose tolerance method.

Abstract

This article is written based on the results of research conducted based on the facts that occur in kindergarten Jabal Rahmah Padang, that the cooperative behavior of children has not yet developed due to lact of activities to train cooperative behavior in children. Learning activities in schools are carried out individually by the child, so that it affects the cooperative behavior of children. This study aims to determine the effect of cheerful ball play on the cooperative behavior of children. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data collection techniques used are tests, and processed by the difference test (t-test). After the data is processed, it is seen that the children in the experimental class with a cheerful ball game have a higher average value than the control class with a block game. So it can be concluded that the cheerful ball game affects the cooperative behavior of children in kindergarten Jabal Rahmah Padang.

Abstract

The performance of Kindergarten teachers is not optimal and the ownership of certification is not evenly distributed in Bukit Sundi Subdistrict. The purpose of this research is to: (1) describe the performance of certified and non-certified teachers, and (2) analyze the performance differences between the two. The research uses a mixed-method approach with a sequential exploratory design. Data analysis techniques include instrument testing, descriptive analysis, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing. The research population consists of all kindergarten teachers in the Bukit Sundi District, with the sample determined through simple random sampling using the Slovin formula. The data collection instruments include questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The results show that the performance of certified teachers falls into the very good category (86.7%), while non-certified teachers only reach 39.9%. Hypothesis testing indicates a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that certification has a significant impact on improving the performance of kindergarten teachers. This study recommends the need for enhanced training and certification programs to support the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa e-module islamic parenting untuk meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua dalam menanamkan tauhid sejak dini kepada anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation). Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa angket untuk uji validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian in menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif, yaitu dengan cara mendeskripsikan tingkat validitas, praktikalitas dan efektivitas e-module. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas e-module islamic parenting oleh para ahli hasil validasi materi diperoleh persentase 91,11% dengan kategori sangat valid dan hasil validasi media diperoleh persentase 80% dengan kategori valid, hasil validasi instrumen diperoleh persentase 88,8% dengan kategori sangat valid , hasil praktikalitas uji coba produk respon orang tua diperoleh persentase 92,77% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan uji praktikalitas setelah implementasi diperoleh persentase 95,18% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil efektivitas menggunakan instrument pada uji coba produk diperoleh persentase 85,50% dengan kategori sangat efektiv dan hasil uji efektivitas pada implementasi diperoleh persentase 98,33% dengan kategori sangat efektiv. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan e-module islamic parenting untuk meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua dalam menanamkan tauhid sejak dini valid, praktis dan efektiv.

Abstract

Lack of understanding of socialization skills in children in kindergarten is caused by limited variations in learning media and lack of knowledge from teachers regarding its importance. As a result, interactions between boys and girls tend to occur without any boundaries that are in accordance with the child's gender. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of animated sex education videos on socialization skills in kindergarten. This quantitative study used an experimental method. The population in the study consisted of early childhood children in state kindergartens, totaling 277 children. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The total sample of the study was 40. The methods used in collecting data were observation and testing. The instruments used in collecting data were observation sheets and test questions. The data analysis technique used in this study was to compare the differences between the two average values, so it was carried out with a t-test. The results of the study showed that the average value of children's socialization skills before being given treatment in the form of animated sex education videos was 21.60, and the average value of children's socialization skills after being given treatment in the form of animated sex education videos was 29.65. The results of the hypothesis test show the influence of the use of animated sex education videos on children's socialization skills in kindergarten. It is concluded that the use of animated sex education videos can improve children's socialization skills in kindergarten. The implication of this research is that the use of animated sex education videos can help children learn boundaries according to their gender.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly impacted various sectors, including higher education. This study aims to analyze the role of AI in enhancing the quality of student learning through a literature review approach. The findings reveal that AI offers numerous benefits, such as personalized learning, increased accessibility, and efficiency in assessments and administration. AI enables the delivery of tailored instructional materials, provides immediate feedback, and supports students from diverse backgrounds to access equitable learning opportunities. However, AI implementation also faces challenges, including technological gaps, lack of user skills, and resistance to change. Additionally, ethical issues related to data privacy and security require special attention. This study concludes that despite these challenges, AI has great potential to improve the quality of higher education inclusively and efficiently. Policy recommendations include enhancing technological infrastructure, providing training for users, and developing regulations to ensure responsible AI implementation in education.

Abstract

Perkembangan anak usia dini memainkan efek yang signifikan pada keterampilan motorik halus. Hampir semua kegiatan yang dilakukan anak-anak membutuhkan keterampilan motorik halus. Artikel ini dibuat dengan menggunakan temuan penelitian yang mencoba menjelaskan jika kegiatan loose part berdampak pada perkembangan motorik halus anak di TK Teladan Pertiwi Bukittinggi. Peneliti di TK Teladan Pertiwi Bukittinggi mengamati sejumlah kesenjangan perkembangan pada anak, khususnya pada keterampilan motorik halusnya. Mayoritas anak-anak belum bisa menulis, mewarnai, menangkap, menjiplak, atau menggunting, yang semuanya membutuhkan keterampilan motorik halus. Kendala media pembelajaran dan kemampuan guru merancang pembelajaran menjadi penyebab masalah ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen quashi dan metodologi kuantitatif. Tes terdiri dari tujuh item dengan peringkat BB(1), MB(2), BSH(3), dan BSB(4). Audiens yang dituju penelitian ini termasuk 72 anak-anak. dengan kelas B3 sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 15 siswa, dan kelas B1 sebagai kelompok kontrol yang juga berjumlah 15 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan loose part di TK Teladan Pertiwi Bukittinggi berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan motorik halus dini anak
