Abstract

In this study, researchers used data respondents, such as gender, age and long working respondents to provide information on the characteristics of respondents. The questionnaire was spread over 42. The discussion in this chapter is the result of field studies to obtain data on the questionnaire responses that measure five key variables in the study, namely competence, education, self efficacy, work spirit and employee performance. Analysis of data with parametric and non parametrics statistics using SEM-PLS (structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square) on the research variables, instrument test, normality test, hypothesis test, as well as discussion of the hypothesis test results and path analysis Path. This research uses path analysis to test relationship patterns that reveal the influence of variables or a set of variables against other variables, both direct influences and indirect influences. Calculation of line coefficient in this study assisted with Smart PLS Ver 3.0. To find out the direct and indirect influences between variables then be seen from the calculation result of the line coefficient and to know the significance. The influence of the variable X3 on X4 has a P-Values value of 0.008 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence between X3 on X4 is significant. The influence of the variable X3 on X4 has a P-Values value of 0,000 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence between X3 on X4 is significant. The influence of the variable X4 on Y has a P-Values value of 0.008 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence between X4 on Y is significant. The influence of the variable X1 to X4 has a P-Values value of 0.010 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence between X1 to X4 is significant. The effect of the variable X1 on Y has a P-Values value of 0.047 <0.05, so it can be stated that the effect between X1 on Y is significant. The influence of the variable X2 on X4 has a P-Values value of 0,000 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence of X2 on X4 is significant. The effect of the variable X2 on Y has a P-Values value of 0.007 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence between X2 on Y is significant.

Abstract

The objective of manpower optimization is to have the right number of workers with the right capabilities in the right production areas. In this research, a model was developed for optimizing manpower allocation coupling threading area. Total initial manpower allocation is 26 manpower. Improvement executed which consider to customer demand and production capability. Evaluation result indicates there is unbalance work load distribution of each manpower. Improvement planned such as balancing the work load of each manpower, machine replacement, and re-layout the production area. The implementation based on Direct Productivity formula resulted manpower saving cost about 50%, from 26 manpower to 16 manpower. Standardized work did as well as the control item in order to stabilize the improvement process. The next step is the analysis of production capability to face the increasing of customer demand. This analysis concluded that production needed additional overtime and additional work shift in order to fulfill the customer demand

This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, work experience and work motivation on employee performance. The type of research used in this study is associative research. The method that can be used in this study is to use structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis based on variance, namely Partial Least Square (PLS). SEM with variance-based PLS so that it is able to handle two conditions, namely conditions with unspecified factors and conditions where the solution is unacceptable. This study uses computer smart program PLS 3.3.3. The population of this study is Civil Servants in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Karimun Regency which amounts to 66 employees. The research data was collected by questionnaire instrument. The test results hypothesized the direct influence of workload with employee performance showed insignificant negative results (inner weight = -0.302, p = 0.149) so it can be concluded that the results of the study rejected hypothesis 1 because there is an insignificant influence between workloads on employee performance. The test results of the hypothesis of direct influence of work experience showed insignificant positive results (inner weight = 0.062, p = 0.717) so it can be concluded that the results of the study rejected hypothesis 2 because there is an insignificant influence between work experience and employee performance. The test results hypothesized the direct influence of work motivation showed insignificant positive results (inner weight = 0.211, p = 0.308) so it can be concluded that the results of the study rejected hypothesis 3 because there is an insignificant influence between work motivation and employee performance.
