Abstract

Educators are required to understand the needs of learners according to their interests, talents and aspirations in the current independent curriculum. One of the learning models that focuses on the needs of learners is differentiated learning. This model is a strategy to find out the readiness, interest, and learning profile of students. This study aims to describe the application of differentiated learning in writing procedure text in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Jambi City. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research location was located at SMP Negeri 1 Jambi City. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of learning to write procedural texts in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Jambi using differentiated learning is in accordance with the preparation, implementation, and assessment design which contains differentiated content, differentiated process, and differentiated products which means that the learning process focuses on the interests, talents, and learning profiles of students.Keywords: Differentiated learning, writing, procedur text

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the essential competencies of hospitality professional and the vocational students in communication skills needed to effectively interact with tourists from diverse cultural backgrounds and enhance their overall travel experience. This study used a qualitative phenomenological approach. The data was collected through in-depth interviews, with tourism student, professional industry worker, and practitioner tourism industry in Banyuwangi, participatory observations which conducted across tourist spots and documentation. A comprehensive analysis of relevant educational resources and industry-specific documents were employed in this study. Findings reveal a significant gap between theoretical instruction and practical application in English real tourism industry workforce setting, which affects confidence and communication skills among tourism workers. It emphasizes the necessity of collaborative frameworks between educational institutions and tourism enterprises to align training with dynamic industry demands. These findings provide valuable insights for curriculum improvement and training initiatives to enhance the global competitiveness of tourism professionals, especially in communication skills.

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Mind Mapping terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Kaeya Tulis Ilmiah pada Siswa Kelas XI SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping dalam pembelajaran khususnya karya ilmiah di SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Objek penelitian adalah pembelajaran karya tulis ilmiah menggunakan model pembelajaran mind mapping di kelas XI SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi. Data dalam penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran mind mapping dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan yang memuat penyusunan rancangan pembelajaran berdasarkan tujuan dan materi pembelajaran. Tahap kedua yaitu pelaksanaan yakni guru membagi siswa menjadi beberapa kelompk untuk membuat mind mapping. Tahap evaluasi yang memuat refleksi dari penerapan yang dilakukan. Kata kunci: mind mapping, karya tulis ilmiah

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran platform youtube dalam meningkatkan literasi digital siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 1 Lamangga. Konteks penelitian ini, menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan yakni deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ada semua siswa kelas V. Teknik analisis data penelitian dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian peran platform youtube dalam meningkatkan literasi digital siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 1 Lamangga menunjukkan bahwa peran platform youtube dapat menciptakan ketertarikan peserta didik serta guru lebih kreatif dalam penggunaan teknologi, pendayagunaan sumber belajar yang  up to date, keterampilan siswa mengunakan media baru, siswa memperoleh  berbagai infromasi yang lebih luas, dan siswa memiliki pengalaman dari internet sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital siswa dengan memenuhi kompetensi berupa kemampuan teknis, pemahaman kritis, dan kemampuan berkomunikasi serta berpartisipasi aktif di kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Picture and picture learning model in improving science learning outcomes at SDN Inpres Kawae. The methodology employed was a quasi-experimental design with a subject group of 13 fifth-grade students, comprising 1 male and 12 female students. Data were collected using a test instrument to measure learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the Picture and picture learning model. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. Before the implementation of the model, no students achieved the very high category (scores 76-100) on the pretest. However, after implementation, 7 students (about 45% of the total sample) reached the very high category on the posttest. This demonstrates that the Picture and picture learning model is effective in enhancing the effectiveness of science learning outcomes at SDN Inpres Kawae

Abstract

Changing the curriculum is something that must be done by a country along with the times. Curriculum changes in Indonesia have been made several times. The results of the latest curriculum changes have resulted in the Independent Curriculum. Curriculum changes are expected to have a significant positive impact on learning and outcomes. However, curriculum changes also provide flexibility to teachers who carry out learning in the classroom. Students of the Teacher Education Study Program of the University of Muhammadiyah Buton as prospective teachers need to be equipped with experience before they become teachers. This training activity aims to provide experience to participants implementing the independent curriculum. The activity was attended by 12 students as training participants. In general, this training activity is carried out in three stages: the presentation of material, training, and evaluation of results. The presentation of the material uses the lecture and question and answer method, the practice uses the tutoring method, and the evaluation of the results uses the observation method. The evaluation results showed that the average ability of participants to compile learning tools was 88.44%, the average ability to carry out learning reached 90.56, and the personality of participants reached 92.88. Based on the analysis of the results of the discussion, it was concluded that this training activity has had a very satisfactory impact on the ability of trainees in the implementation of the independent curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to test whether there is online game and student interest on English learning achievement in MTs NW Asmaul Husna. The sample was 20 students. This study used two independent variables, namely online games (X1) and student interest (X2), while the dependent variable was learning achievement (Y). The data used in this study was primary data in the form of questionnaires with 20 respondents. This research method uses quantitative. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple regression analysis. The results of this study are known F value of 1.390 <compared to the F-table of 3.59. So, it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected which means that there is no significant influence between online games (X1) and interest (X2) on student learning achievement (Y)

Abstract

English language teaching has not been evenly distributed across all regions in Indonesia. The tendency is that students who go to school in big cities have better English teaching than remote areas. On the other hand, KIP Scholarship students come from many regions, some of which come from outside big cities. KIP Scholarship students are students with good academic backgrounds but have weak economic abilities. For KIP Scholarship students, they do not have the capital to get access to additional language learning facilities even if they need it. In the end, their competitiveness will be low. Therefore, the Basic English skills of KIP College Scholarship students need to be improved in order to be more competitive. In this study, Basic English was given to KIP Kuliah Scholarship students of Mandalika University of Education who were most in need of capacity building. A total of 12 meetings, in addition to the pretest and posttest, were organized. As a result, the Basic English skills of KIP College Scholarship students improved. However, it still takes perseverance from students to want to learn better so that their skills improve significantly. It can be concluded that the Basic English Implementation program for KIP College Scholarship students helps improve the ability of human resources in the field of English.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of QR Code media on the ability to write drama scripts. This research is a quantitative type of research with a Nonequivalent Control Group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 14 Jambi City. Sampling in this study used the Purposive Sampling technique, the sample used was 62 students who were divided into two classes, namely 31 students in class VIII C as the control class and 31 students in VIII E as the experimental class. Research data was obtained through interviews, documentation, and test instruments (Pretest and Posttest). The results showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class was 70.8 and the control class was 64.3. The results of the hypothesis test using the t test, show that the output results obtained a sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.018 < 0.05, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so there is a significant influence of QR Code media on students' ability to write drama scripts.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji (1) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan menulis esai, (2) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan menulis esai pada siswa yang memiliki tingkat motivasi siswa belajar tinggi, (3) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan menulis esai pada siswa yang memiliki tingkat motivasi siswa belajar rendah (4) pengaruh tingkat motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis esai. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, yang akan dilakukan dengan metode kuasi eksperimen yang melibatkan 3 variabel yaitu model pembelajaran CIRC sebagai variabel bebas (variabel independen), motivasi belajar sebagai variabel moderator, dan kemampuan menulis esai sebagai variabel  terikat (variabel dependen). Penetapan sampel dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling yaitu menggunakan teknik secara acak tanpa memerhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi. Pada pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen angket motivasi dan tes menulis esai. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji beda (t-test). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat (1)  pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran CIRC terhadap kemampuan menulis esai. The data collection was carried out with motivational questionnaires and essay writing tests. Data analysis was carried out by using a different test (t-test). This study shows that there are (1) the effect of applying the CIRC learning model to the ability to write essays.
