Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in Elementary Schools with a focus on the problems faced. The research method used is qualitative with phenomenological methods. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis is carried out through three steps, namely data presentation, data condensation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results highlight obstacles in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in SD Negeri 060877, especially related to learning planning and the use of technology. Interviews with grade 1 teachers revealed difficulties in developing project-based learning and implementing Kurikulum Merdeka. The evaluation of Kurikulum Merdeka is carried out by the principal without any problems. This research provides an overview of the challenges faced by teachers in adopting the Kurikulum Merdeka in elementary schools

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the Batak people in Samosir use their local knowledge to understand geometric shapes. The literature review research method, which is a data collection strategy focused on the evaluation of relevant and current scientific literature related to the research problem, is used in this publication. The data sources in the study came from Google Scholar, Scopus, and SINTA. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the data analysis show that the way local knowledge is applied to the study of geometric forms shows how Batak culture has used geometric principles in religious ceremonies as well as art and construction. In addition to having a practical and aesthetic purpose, these geometric shapes have a deep philosophical feel that enhances the cultural identity and bond of the community with nature and its ancestors. Through the local wisdom of the Batak people in Samosir, geometric ideas have been successfully identified and applied to various parts of their lives, including traditional house buildings, traditional artifacts, and ulos weaving crafts. Overall, this study shows how the concept of geometry is used organically by Batak local wisdom, which is essential for preserving community peace, fostering cultural identity, and fostering spiritual ties with nature and ancestors.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a field of study that combines mathematical concepts with cultural elements in people's lives. Maimun Palace, as one of the Malay cultural heritages located in Medan, North Sumatra, offers many examples of the application of ethnomathematics in its architecture and design. This research aims to explore how mathematical concepts, such as geometry, symmetry, fractals and proportions, are implemented in the building structure, ornaments and spatial layout of the Maimun Palace. The palace's architecture reflects a blend of local Malay, Islamic, Indian and European cultural influences, each of which carries unique mathematical values. In addition, symbolic elements of certain numbers are also found in the palace design, reflecting the cultural beliefs and philosophies of the local people. The results of this research show that the Maimun Palace is an important example of how mathematics is not only applied in a technical context, but is also influenced by beliefs, aesthetics, and cultural traditions. This study contributes to increasing understanding of the relationship between mathematics and culture and the importance of preserving cultural heritage through a multidisciplinary approach such as ethnomathematics. The method used is qualitative using library research

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive media based on Ispring Suite in the subject of science for grade IV of SD Negeri 106189 Sennah. This type of research uses Research and Development using the ADDIE research model. Validation by material experts was carried out in one stage with a result of 75.38%, which is included in the "Feasible" category. Testing by media experts was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, 60% of the assessments were included in the category of quite feasible, with some suggestions for improvement. In the second stage, 80% of the assessments were included in the feasible category and did not require further revision. The results of the teacher response questionnaire showed an average percentage of feasibility of 91.4%, which was included in the "very practical" category. Meanwhile, the student response questionnaire obtained an average score of 95.45%. The effectiveness of interactive media is measured based on the average value of the pretest and posttest, which is measured using the N-Gain formula of 0.59, which is included in the effective category. The concluded that interactive media is feasible, practical, and effective.
