Abstract

Diagram gaya merupakan salah satu dari representasi visual yang dipelajari oleh siswa jenjang menengah atas maupun perguruan tinggi. Diagram gaya dilibatkan dalam penyelesaian soal sehingga cara menggunakan diagram gaya menjadi sesuatu yang perlu dikuasai oleh siswa. Hal ini menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan representasi diagram gaya siswa SMA di kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara survei dan melibatkan 205 siswa dari tiga sekolah negeri yang berbeda di kota Pontianak. Siswa diuji menggunakan tes representasi diagram gaya yang terdiri dari 8 butir soal dimana masing-masing konteks diujikan dua jenis situasi diantaranya situasi diam dan situasi percepatan konstan. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan representasi diagram gaya siswa sebesar 48.78 untuk kategori menengah (intermediate). Kemudian, skor rata-rata siswa yang berhasil menyelesaikan soal untuk konteks bidang horizontal sebesar 57.32, konteks bidang miring sebesar 69.51, konteks objek menggantung sebesar 36.83, dan konteks sistem Atwood sebesar 31.46. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memvisualisasikan permasalahan kedalam diagram gaya dan menjadi perhatian bagi pendidik untuk memberikan pembelajaran kepada siswa tentang representasi ini.Kata Kunci: Profil; Representasi Visual; Diagram GayaAnalysis of Force Diagram Representation Ability in High School Students in Pontianak CityABSTRACTForce diagrams are one of the visual representations studied by high school and college students. Force diagrams are involved in solving problems so how to use force diagrams is something that students need to master. This is the aim of this research to determine the profile of style diagram representation abilities of high school students in the city of Pontianak. This research was carried out by survey and involved 205 students from three different state schools in the city of Pontianak. Students were tested using a force diagram representation test which consisted of 8 questions where in each context two types of situations were tested, including a stationary situation and a constant acceleration situation. The data was analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the average score of students' style diagram representation ability was 48.78 for the intermediate category. Then, the average score of students who completed the questions for the horizontal plane context was 57.32, the inclined plane context was 69.51, the hanging object context was 36.83, and the Atwood system context was 31.46. This indicates that some students have difficulty visualizing problems in force diagrams and it is a concern for educators to provide lessons to students about this representation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a problem-solving-based e-magazine learning media assisted by a virtual laboratory on temperature and heat material for grade VII junior high school students. The development of this e-magazine uses a research and development method with the ADDIE model. The subject of this research is students of class VII G SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest. The results of the study based on expert tests show the feasibility of e-magazines with an average score of 0.8 with very high validity criteria. The implementation in the learning process showed the acquisition of an effect size value of 1.97 with the category of large effectiveness and the results of the analysis of students' problem-solving skills at each step in the Heller problem-solving strategy showed an average N-gain value of 0.49 with the medium category. The results of the students' response in the field trial showed a percentage of 80.75% with a very high category. From the acquisition of these data, it can be concluded that e-magazines based on problem solving assisted by virtual laboratories on temperature and heat materials can help the learning process of students and help improve problem-solving skills on temperature and heat materials.

Abstract

The availability of diagnostic instruments specifically designed to identify students' difficulties in solving problems related to static fluids is still limited, even though this material often leads to misconceptions and conceptual difficulties. This article aims to present the results of the development of a diagnostic test instrument to identify students' problem-solving difficulties in the static fluid material. This study employs the R&D (Research and Development) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The validation of the test instrument was assessed by two physics education lecturers and two physics teachers, covering content and language validation. The instrument validation results were analyzed using the Aiken index formula, obtaining a value of 0.83 with a high rating for content validation and a value of 0.93 with a high rating for language validation. The respondents in this study consisted of 95 students from grade XII. The test instrument provided consisted of essay questions, with each question containing two parts related to conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability. The analysis was conducted using Winsteps software. Based on the student response survey results regarding the diagnostic test, the average response percentage was 71%, which falls within the good criteria. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the development of instruments in physics, particularly static fluids, and help teachers better understand and address students' learning difficulties.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to design, implement, and evaluate a deep learning-based adaptive e-module to teach mathematical concepts. Specifically, the topic of optimum value to tenth-grade vocational students in the Visual Communication Design (DKV) program. The goal is to determine the module's feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students' problem-solving skills and learning motivation.Method: The research employed the ADDIE development model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by three experts in education and technology. The product was tested on 36 vocational students, using instruments such as expert validation forms, Likert-scale questionnaires, pre- and post-tests, interviews, and classroom observations.Findings: Expert evaluations indicated high feasibility with scores ranging from 4.2 to 4.6. The average student score increased from 57.97 (pre-test) to 69.44 (post-test), while the standard deviation decreased from 11.315 to 8.914. A low correlation between pre- and post-test scores (r = –0.022; p = 0.899) suggests that the module was equally effective for students across different ability levels. Feedback from both teachers and students confirmed the module’s high practicality and engaging nature.Significance: The findings demonstrate that a deep learning-based adaptive e-module can enhance visual and contextualized mathematics learning for vocational students. It promotes conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and problem-solving skills regardless of initial performance. This study highlights the transformative potential of integrating artificial intelligence into instructional design, especially for creative-industry-focused education programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan miskonsepsi siswa pada materi mekanika menggunakan four-tier diagnostic test. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 342 orang siswa SMA kelas X di kalimantan barat. Instrumen four-tier diagnostic test yang digunakan berbentuk pilihan ganda dengan penalaran tertutup dan berjumlah 40 nomor soal. Data miskonsepsi diperoleh dengan mengelompokkan ke dalam 4 kategori, sesuai konsep sains, kurang pengetahuan, false negatif, false positive dan miskonsepsi. Selanjutnya miskonsepsi tiap submateri dan tiap item dianalisis kemudian dipersentasekan ke dalam kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 30,4% pada submateri gerak lurus (kategori sedang), gerak melingkar sebesar 28,3% (kategori rendah), gerak parabola sebesar 19,4% (kategori rendah), hukum-hukum Newton sebesar 17,3% (kategori rendah), serta usaha dan energi sebesar 22.1% (kategori rendah). Akan tetapi, terdapat data yang menunjukkan miskonsepsi tinggi pada salah satu item soal gerak lurus beraturan dengan persentase sebesar 54,67% yaitu menjelaskan grafik posisi dan waktu gerak lurus.Kata Kunci: Four-Tier Diagnostic Test; Mekanika; Miskonsepsi Description of Students' Misconceptions about Mechanics Material Using the Four-Tier Diagnostic TestABSTRACTThis study aims to describe students' misconceptions in mechanics material using a four-tier diagnostic test. This study was descriptive with a case study design. The subjects of the study were 342 high school students in grade X in West Kalimantan. The four-tier diagnostic test instrument used was in the form of multiple choices with closed reasoning and consisted of 40 questions. Misconception data were obtained by grouping them into 4 categories, according to the concept of science, lack of knowledge, false negative, false positive and misconception. Furthermore, the misconceptions of each sub-material and each item were analysed and then presented as a percentage into high, medium, and low categories. The results of this study indicated that students experienced misconceptions of 30.4% in the sub-material of straight motion (medium category), circular motion of 28.3% (low category), parabolic motion of 19.4% (low category), Newton's laws of 17.3% (low category), and work and energy of 22.1% (low category). However, there was data that showed a high level of misconception in one of the questions on uniform straight motion with a percentage of 54.67%, namely explaining the position and time graphs of straight motion.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Model pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas X SMK Negeri7 Pontianak melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak yang berjumlah 72 siswa. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 36 siswa dan kelompok kontrol yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Pada kelompok eksperimen, pembelajaran dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol, pembelajaran dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil post test kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning media using TikTok videos with village-city interaction material on geography learning outcomes for students at SMAN 9 Pontianak. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The form of experiment used was One-Group Pretest-Posttest and a class XII sample of 20 students. Data analyzed using pretest and posttest are presented in bar charts and data management uses SPSS. The results of the Paired Samples Statistics Test show that the average for the pretest is 46.75 and the posttest is 87.80, so there is a fairly large increase between the average value of the pretest and posttest. The results of the Paired Samples Test show a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.005. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the TikTok video learning media, village-city interaction material on geography learning outcomes for students at SMAN 9 Pontianak.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between students' disciplinary attitudes and student learning outcomes. The method used in this research is experimental research analysis. This research uses the Pearson correlation (product moment) test. The data collection instrument is through final semester grades with a sample size of 30 people. Based on data testing using the Pearson correlation test, the sig value was obtained. 0.000 < 0.05 which indicates that there is a relationship between students' discipline attitudes and student learning outcomes, and has a degree of relationship of 0.603 which is categorized as a strong relationship. So from this description it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between students' disciplinary attitudes on the informatics learning outcomes of class XF students at SMAN 9 Pontianak and this relationship has a strong status.

Abstract

Critical thinking as 21st-century skill is important, but students' low critical thinking skills are a problem that is often found. This study aims to develop STEM digital media to improve students' critical thinking skills on Archimedes' principle. The subjects of this research included 15 validators and 42 students of SMP Negeri 2 Balai. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) with nine steps of the Dick, Carey, & Carey instructional model. Product validation results show Aiken's V average in the design, media, and material aspects of 0.85; 0.93; and 0.89 so that the media is declared valid in each aspect. The results of formative evaluation in one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation and field trial evaluation are categorized as very good. The N-gain value from the pretest and posttest is known to be 0.36 (moderate). The effect size of media is 2.44 (high). The implication of this research is the STEM approach combined with digital media has a positive influence on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to create a problem-solving e-module supplemented by a flipbook, for physics education targeting junior high school students. This study employed the research and development (R&D) method utilizing the ADDIE model, encompassing the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research methodologies encompassed observation, interviews, questionnaires, and pre-tests and post-tests. This research employed a data analysis technique that incorporates quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis, utilizing the Aiken V index for data evaluation. The findings of this study demonstrated that the created e-module possesses a high feasibility level, evidenced by an average validation score of 0.83, classified as very valid. The deployment of the e-module among 28 seventh-grade students in class VII C at SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak yielded an effect size of 3.02, categorizing it as very effective, while the assessment of students' problem-solving abilities revealed an average N-Gain value of 0.53, indicating a modest level of improvement. The teacher's reaction rate was 97%, while the pupils' response rate during the field trial was 86%, both classified as exceptionally high. The results demonstrate that the problem-solving-based e-module, supplemented by a flipbook, is an excellent physics learning medium for enhancing problem-solving skills related to the theme of matter and its transformations.
