Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia requires an evaluation of teaching materials, including textbooks, to ensure alignment with the principles of the curriculum, but systematic research on textbook analysis is still limited. This research aims to identify research trends in the analysis of elementary school student books under the Merdeka Curriculum during the period 2020-2025. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the researchers analyzed 5 journal articles and proceedings indexed in Google Scholar published between 2020-2025, focusing on studies of the analysis of Indonesian language textbooks for elementary school students. The research findings indicate: (1) an increasing trend in research on the analysis of Merdeka Curriculum textbooks, (2) the dominance of Universitas Negeri Semarang as the most active institution in this field, and (3) a diversity of analytical instruments used according to the individual objectives of each study. The study's conclusion underscores the importance of raising awareness among educators and researchers in evaluating the feasibility of textbooks, as well as the need for the development of more consistent analysis standards.

Abstract

The peri-urban area of Semarang City, particularly Pakintelan Village, Gunungpati District, has experienced rapid residential growth over the past decade. However, this growth has not been accompanied by adequate waste management infrastructure, especially for household organic waste. Many residents still dispose of or burn organic waste such as food scraps and vegetables, which negatively impacts the environment and public health. To address this issue, this community service initiative aimed to enhance residents' capacity to process organic waste into environmentally friendly and economically valuable products. The methodology involved in-depth interviews with neighborhood leaders to identify key issues, followed by a literature review to develop educational materials, and concluded with practical training on producing eco-enzyme from household kitchen waste. The program ran smoothly and received enthusiastic participation from the community. Residents showed a strong interest in applying eco-enzyme production in their daily lives. Moving forward, further research is recommended on developing a community-based organic waste management system, as not all residents have the space or time to process waste independently

Abstract

General Background: Education in the 21st century demands learning approaches that foster higher-order thinking skills. Specific Background: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has been widely used to structure learning experiences that encourage critical thinking. However, learning media such as Student Worksheets (LKPD) require systematic evaluation to ensure their effectiveness. Knowledge Gap: Although many studies have developed PBL-based LKPD, there has been no comprehensive review analyzing publication trends, validity, practicality, and results from multiple studies. Aims: This study aims to synthesize findings from national studies on the development and implementation of PBL-based LKPD to train students’ critical thinking skills. Results: A total of 17 articles (2019–2025) were systematically reviewed. Most studies (88.24%) reported that PBL-based LKPD were valid, practical, and effective in fostering critical thinking, with publication trends increasing notably between 2023 and 2025. Novelty: This review applies the Systematic Literature Review method to provide a structured synthesis, identifying variations in research focus across educational levels. Implications: The findings support the strategic use of PBL-based LKPD as innovative learning media to cultivate critical thinking skills and inform future curriculum development and research. Highlight: PBL-based LKPD consistently validated as effective tools for critical thinking. Research focus varies by educational level, reflecting implementation stages. Publication trends reveal growing interest in innovative learning approaches. Abstract

Abstract

Tugu Village in Demak Regency frequently experiences disasters such as coastal erosion and inundation due to tidal activities and the reclamation of Marina Beach in Semarang, which borders Sayung District. These conditions negatively impact the local economy, necessitating a solution to enhance food self-sufficiency. One approach taken is the cultivation of catfish in barrels (budikdamber) using an aquaponic system to grow water spinach, supported by the Internet of Things (IoT). The target audience for this community service activity is the women in Tugu Village affected by flooding. The program was implemented in five stages: observation and coordination, socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments. Before the program, participants' understanding of aquaponic budikdamber was only 32.5%, but after the program, it increased sharply to 95%. Participants' understanding of pellet-making also saw a significant increase, from 10% before the program to 90% afterward. This data indicates that the program implementation successfully improved participants' understanding.

Abstract

In line with the times and the needs of the world of education, the Merdeka Curriculum has been introduced as one of the government's efforts to improve the quality of learning in Indonesia. This article aims to analyze the application of interactive flashcard learning media in elementary schools, with a focus on the use of interactive flashcard learning media in the teaching and learning process, particularly in science subjects. The method used in this study is a literature review of 25 research journals related to the use of flashcards in learning in elementary schools. Based on the results of the literature analysis, it can be shown that the use of interactive flashcard learning media has a positive impact on the learning process, including improving learning outcomes and students' science literacy in science subjects. Flashcards have also been proven to be effective in helping students remember material and improve science literacy skills. In addition, flashcards can create a more enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere, so that students participate more actively in learning activities. Thus, the application of this media is highly recommended as an alternative learning media in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the development of project-based learning (PJBL) modules integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) technology for solar system material for grade V elementary school students. The main objective of the research is to improve learning activities and student learning outcomes through a more interactive learning experience and real visualization. The methodology used is a systematic literature review (SLR) to collect and evaluate related research from various sources from 2015 to 2025. The results show that the application of AR in learning modules can increase motivation, student engagement, and understanding of abstract astronomy concepts. However, there are challenges related to infrastructure and user training that need to be addressed for optimal implementation. The findings support the development of innovation in basic education through the effective and practical use of AR technology.
