Abstract

The main safety parameters of Multipurpose Reactor?Gerrit Augustinus Siwabessy (RSG-GAS) have never been evaluated periodically and neutronically require to be evaluated in terms of stuck rod reactivity, shut-down margin and temperature reactivity coefficient are treated by experiment. Meanwhile, power peaking factors and maximum fuel burn up are treated by calculations. The diffusion method did the calculation using the computer code. Safety parameters are very important aspects for the operation and design improvement. The results of the experiment and calculation about the safety parameters of RGS-GAS core are utilized for safety evaluation as part of a research reactor operation Periodic Safety Review (PSR). It presents reactor calculations as a method for their determination assuming use of computer codes such as WIMSD-5B using ENDF.BVII.0 and BATAN-FUEL. According to the experimental data and calculation, neutronic safety parameters have met the safety analysis report such as reactivity coefficient is negative and met the shutdown margin at stuck rod condition nothing has violated the safety margin. The results can be used as the periodic safety review for renewal operation license from Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency of Indonesia (BAPETEN) as the regulator body. These results also can be used as a reference for new research reactor MTR type advanced design in the future.

Abstract

IntisariData meteorologi yang berupa citra/gambar sulit dianalisis dan dikombinasikan dengan data lain. Dalam tulisan ini akan dijelaskan metode pencuplikan citra/gambar radar yang dipublikasikan oleh BMKG menjadi data teks. Proses pengolahan terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu proses pemetaan setiap pixel dalam citra radar menjadi koordinat bumi (latitude dan longitude) dan penentuan nilai echo radar (dBZ). Dari legenda pada citra radar didapatkan 9 pola warna RGB yang digunakan sebagai penentu nilai dBZ setiap pixel dalam citra radar. Hasil pengolahan citra radar berupa data teks yang terdiri dari longitude, latitude, dan nilai dBZ. Untuk membandingkan dengan data asli, data radar teks hasil pengolahan ditampilkan pada Website Global Informasion System (WebGIS). Warna data radar pada WebGIS ditentukan dengan persamaan warna sebagai fungsi dari nilai dBZ. Secara kualitatif, hasil perbandingan gambar radar asli dengan data numerik yang ditampilkan pada WebGIS menunjukkan bahwa hasil data numerik cukup presisi pada posisi longitude dan latitude. Namun, dari segi nilai numerik echo radar (dBZ) yang dihasilkan terdeteksi kurang akurat pada batas awan karena latar belakang gambar yang berwarna hitam.   AbstractMeteorological data in the form of image has difficulty in further analysis such as to combine the data with other data sources. In this research, the proposed method for converting image data into texts using image processing for BMKG data provided is presented. The processing scenarios consist of two main steps; mapping process of every pixel of the images into the earth coordinate (latitude and longitude) step and radar echo values estimation in dBZ step. From the analysis, the 9 color patterns of RGB are obtained and used as the dBZ justification tool for the pixel color of radar image. The results of this image processing step are the texts data of latitude, longitude and the radar echo values in dBZ. In order to compare the analysis results with the original data, the processing data are then reshown to global information system website (WebGIS). The radar color data on WebGIS is determined based on color equation as a function of the echo radar. Qualitatively, the results of this comparison show that the numerical data results are precise in terms of longitude and latitude positions. However, in terms of numerical values echo radar (dBZ), the results perform less accurate especially on the boundary of the cloud due to the black color of background image.

Abstract

IntisariDilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan operasional Teknologi Modifikasi Cuaca (TMC) dengan wahana pesawat terbang dan juga permintaan TMC yang semakin meningkat, maka dilakukan pengembangan teknologi Ground-Based Generator berupa desain konseptual Ground-Based Generator (GBG) otomatis dan konsep operasional berbasis wireless sensor network (WSN). Dari kajian teori, teknologi GBG efektif diterapkan dilereng pegunungan, sehingga konsep pengembangan teknologi ini dimaksudkan untuk operasional TMC waduk PLTA di Indonesia yang sebagian besar dikelilingi oleh daerah aliran sungai (DAS) berupa pegunungan. Di dalam tulisan ini dijelaskan 4 topografi waduk PLTA yang telah lama menggunakan jasa TMC yaitu DAS Riamkanan, DAS Larona, DAS Koto Panjang, dan DAS Singkarak. Data topografi yang menunjukkan kelayakan suatu DAS dapat diterapkan GBG diperoleh dari Digital Elevation Model (DEM) dan ditampilkan dengan software Global Maper. Selanjutnya, rancangan GBG otomatis di ilustrasikan dalam sketsa gambar. GBG otomatis memiliki fitur; autoloading flare, rak penyimpanan flare, solar panel, dan dikontrol dengan mikroprosesor. Dengan menerapkan konsep WSN, pengoperasian GBG dapat dilakukan secara terpusat untuk beberapa DAS sekaligus, sehingga kegiatan TMC mejadi lebih efektif dan efisien. AbstractMotivated by some operational problems of Weather Modification Technology (TMC) with airplane medium and also increasing the demand of TMC, then the development of Ground-Based Generator technology in the form of conceptual design of automatic Ground-Based Generator (GBG) and operational concepts based wireless sensor network (WSN) is done. From the study of theory, GBG effectively applied on mountain slope, so the concept of development of this technology is intended for TMC operation in hydroelectric (PLTA) dam in Indonesia that were mostly surrounded by watersheds (DAS) in the form of mountains. This paper describe four hydroelectric dams topography which has long used the TMC service (Riam Kanan DAS, DAS Larona, DAS Koto Panjang, and DAS Singkarak). The topographic data that indicate the feasibility of applied GBG in a watershed is obtained from the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and displayed with Global Mapper software. Furthermore, the design of automatic GBG is illustrated in sketch drawings. The designed GBG has automatic features; autoloading flares, flare storage racks, solar panels, and controlled by a microprocessor. By applying the concept of WSN, GBG operation can be performed centrally for multiple DAS at once, so that the activities of TMC becoming more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Intisari  Telah dilakukan kajian tentang korelasi antara data curah hujan yang terukur di Pos Meteorologi dan data curah hujan yang terukur pada TRMM (Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission). Data curah hujan merupakan data curah hujan rata ? rata harian dibeberapa titik yang ada di Provinsi Riau. Data yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah data hujan dari tanggal 16 Maret sampai dengan 28 April 2014. Pengujian korelasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi Product Moment Pearson dengan asumsi bahwa data terdistribusi normal. Dari hasil perhitungan dengan korelasi Pearson didapatkan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,52. Korelasi yang terhitung sebesar 0,52 masuk kedalam kategori CUKUP. Selain pengujian korelasi, data curah hujan juga dianalisa dengan uji perbandingan streamline yang terbentuk pada diagram kartesius. Tanpa melihat besarnya nilai curah hujan tetapi dengan melihat pola terbentuknya streamline terlihat tanggal 16 Maret sampai dengan tanggal 21 Maret 2014 pola yang terbentuk cenderung berkebalikan dimana ketika data curah hujan pada Posmet turun curah hujan pada TRMM justru malah naik. Sementara mulai tanggal 22 Maret 2014 sampai akhir tanggal 28 April 2014 terlihat tren stream line yang cenderung berpola mirip walaupun ada beberapa titik yang saling berkebalikan sehingga secara umum terlihat polanya mirip.Abstract  Studied correlation between data rainfall in Post Meteorological (Posmet) and rainfall data on TRMM (Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission) have been done. Precipitacion  is average rainfall data at the daily average some point in Province of Riau. Data used in this study is  data from 16 March to 28 April, 2014. Correlation testing was done by using Pearson Product Moment correlation with assumption that data were normally distributed. From the calculation of Pearson correlation obtained correlation value is 0.52. Correlations were calculated is 0.52, category ENOUGH. In addition to testing the correlation, data rainfall were also analyzed with a streamlined comparison test were formed on Cartesian diagram. Without seeing the value of rainfall but by looking at the pattern formation of streamlined look dated March 16 until March 21, 2014 established pattern which tends to reverse when the rainfall data Posmet down on TRMM rainfall actually even go up. While the start date of March 22, 2014 until the end date of 28 April 2014 visible trends that tend to stream line pattern is similar, although there are a few points of each other so that in general the pattern looks similiar.

Abstract

IntisariTelah dilakukan kajian aplikasi mobile zappeline sebagai media teknologi modifikasi cuaca (tmc) dan media penipisan polutan udara (asap) pada sebuah truk Mitsubishi Colt Diesel berukuran 5,960 x 1,970 meter. Dengan kendaraan tersebut, direkomendasikan dimensi zappeline berbentuk bangun ruang eliptical dengan jari-jari diagonal a dan b masing-masing 3,25 dan 0,65 meter. Selanjutnya, karakteristik aerodinamik dan fisika dihitung dengan memecahkan beberapa persamaan fisika secara numerik pada kondisi atmosfer standart yaitu internasional standart of atmosphere (ISA). Pada kondisi standart ISA, maksimal beban pada ketinggian 1500 meter (5000 feet) sebesar 5,67 kg dan mampu mencapai ketinggian tersebut dalam waktu 1221.93 sekon (+/- 20 menit). Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan drag zappeline relatif terhadap udara yang disajikan dalam sebuah grafik yang dapat digunakan bahan pertimbangan dalam desain pendorong zappeline dan perhitungan kekuatan tali.   AbstractStudies of mobile zeppeline aplication as a medium of weather modification technology and media thinning air pollutants (smoke) on a Mitsubishi Colt Diesel truck with dimensions of 5,960 x 1,970 meters have been done. With these vehicles, an elliptical zappeline shape geometry are recommended with diagonal radii a and b, 3.25 and 0.65 meters, respectively. Then, the aerodynamics and physics characteristic are calculated by solving some physics equations numerically at standard atmospheric conditions of the international standard atmosphere (ISA). In the ISA standard conditions, the maximum load at 1500 meters altitude (5000 feet) is 5.67 kg and it is capable to reach that altitude in 1221.93 seconds (+/- 20 minutes). Furthermore, calculation of the air drag relative are presented in a graph that can be used in the design considerations of driving force zappeline and calculation of rope tension.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the character values in ?book bupena assessment for the elementary school class III? Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang. The approach used is descriptive approach is qualitative methods used to research in the condition of natural objects. Data collection techniques were carried out by triangulation data analysis was inductive and the qualitative research focuses more on the meaning of generalization. Technique data collection in this research was recorded to the note taking method. The problem is that the feasibility of the book is used as a guide for teachers and students in planting character values and how the value of fairy tale characters in the book. The results of this research that the fairy tales in the Bupena Assessment Book for Elementary / MI Class III especially Volume 3A are suitable to be used as a guide for teachers and students in planting character values containing 15 out of 18 character values with a percentage that is religious 1.9%, honest 12.6% , tolerance 7.8%, hard work 3.9%, creative 2.9%, independent 3.9%, democratic 1.9%, curiosity 10.7%, patriotism 2.9%, rewarding achievement 8.7%, friendly / communicative 12.6%, peace loving 6.8%, caring environment 5%, social care 12.6%, and responsibility 5.8%

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to analyze the best Curcuma xanthorrhiza juice on salted egg. The method used in this research was experimental research using completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The curcuma juice were divided into P0 (0%), P1 (25%), P2 (50%) and P3 (75%). The variables observed in this research were total phenol, salt content, fat content and texture. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance. The analysis was continued by Honestly Significant Difference Test if there were significant differences among variables. The results showed that the addition of curcuma juice did not significantly affect (p>0.05) the total phenol and texture. The result showed that the addition of curcuma juice gave highly significant difference (p≤0.01) on salt content and had significant difference effect (p≤0.05) on fat content. The best treatment was the addition of curcuma juice 75% which provided 0.125% of total phenol, 1.31% of salt, 36.98% of fat and 7.05 N of texture. The addition of curcuma juice could reduce the level of salt content and fat content, but did not affect the total phenol and texture.   Keywords : duck egg, curcuma juice concentrate, benefits, functional food

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine effect of lime concentration in the gelatin manufacture from goat skins in terms of physico-chemical and to determine the best lime concentration that can be used for gelatin manufacture from goat skin. The materials used were 5 sheets of Ettawah crossbred goat skin aged 1.5-5 years and lime (Ca(OH)2). The results showed that different lime concentration in the curing process during the manufacture of goat skin gelatin had no effect (P>0.05) on the yield, viscosity, pH, water content, protein content and fat content. The best treatment was the use of 5% of lime concentration which resulted 12.82% of yield, 3.67 cP of viscosity, 2.7 of pH, 9.29% of water content, 73.58% of protein content and 1.77% of fat content.   Keywords: Gelatin, goat skin

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out difference between the addition of kimpul starch (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) and incubation time towards the total acid, viscosity, syneresis, water content and water holding capacity of yoghurt set. Yoghurt set was made from cow's milk with the addition of 2% of bacterial starters and addition of kimpul starch (0, 1, 2, and 3%) also all treatments in the incubation with room temperature (± 23oC) for (24 hours, 32 hours, 40 hours and 48 hours). The variables observed were the total acid, viscosity, syneresis, water content and water holding capacity. The method used in this research is 4x4 factorial experiment with Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 3 times replications, and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the addition of kimpul starch highly significant different (P≤0.01) on syneresis and water content decline, as well as total acid, viscosity and water holding capacity escalation. The incubation time highly significant different (P≤0.01) on syneresis and water content decline, as well as total acid, viscosity and water holding capacity escalation. The interaction between addition of starch and incubation time is not significantly different (P>0.05) on total acid, viscosity, syneresis, water content and water holding capacity. The results of the study can be concluded that the best yoghurt set quality was by adding 3% kimpul starch and 48 hours incubation time is able to improve the quality of yogurt set optimally.

Abstract

The main safety parameters of Multipurpose Reactor–Gerrit Augustinus Siwabessy (RSG-GAS) have never been evaluated periodically and neutronically require to be evaluated in terms of stuck rod reactivity, shut-down margin and temperature reactivity coefficient are treated by experiment. Meanwhile, power peaking factors and maximum fuel burn up are treated by calculations. The diffusion method did the calculation using the computer code. Safety parameters are very important aspects for the operation and design improvement. The results of the experiment and calculation about the safety parameters of RGS-GAS core are utilized for safety evaluation as part of a research reactor operation Periodic Safety Review (PSR). It presents reactor calculations as a method for their determination assuming use of computer codes such as WIMSD-5B using ENDF.BVII.0 and BATAN-FUEL. According to the experimental data and calculation, neutronic safety parameters have met the safety analysis report such as reactivity coefficient is negative and met the shutdown margin at stuck rod condition nothing has violated the safety margin. The results can be used as the periodic safety review for renewal operation license from Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency of Indonesia (BAPETEN) as the regulator body. These results also can be used as a reference for new research reactor MTR type advanced design in the future.
