Abstract

This study aims to design and produce a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) oriented Learner Activity Sheet (LAS) to foster creative thinking abilities among learners in the context of chemical bonding. The study involved 31 students of class XI MIPA at SMAS Barunawati Surabaya. The study employed the 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination), but was limited to the Development stage. Several instruments were employed, including a media validation sheet, learner response questionnaire, observation data of learner activities and learning implementation, as well as tests for creative thinking skills and learning outcomes. The PjBL-based LAS for chemical bonding was evaluated for its feasibility and declared valid by three validators in terms of content and construct. It was also found to be practical based on positive student feedback and 'very good' ratings for student activity and learning implementation. Furthermore, the tool proved effective, demonstrated by significant improvements in students' creative thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes. In conclusion, the developed Project-Based Learning LAS for chemical bonding fulfills the quality criteria of a teaching material in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstract

LEADERSHIP    STYLE   OF   KYAI   LUKMAN   AL-KARIM IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION:  A CASE STUDY IN PESANTREN  BAHRUL MAGHFIRAH, MALANG: The leadership is not something that can only  be learned  and researched.  Even  in leadership,  many types can be found; character  and the most protrude  leadership action from a person who has an important role in his achievement to  lead  his  institution.  This  research  was  conducted  through field research using qualitative  model. Researcher inspected  the opinions of Kyai Lukman thinking  in his efforts to develop and advance his pesantren. The result of this research is: to lead and defend the existence  of his Islamic boarding school that he runs by himself, Kyai Lukman applies many strategies as follow: First, Kyai  Lukman’s  strategy  in managing  the  educational  funding. Kyai Lukman uses several kinds of method to fund the educational activities in his institution; they are self-funding and donation from the income of pesantren profit centers. Kyai Lukman increases the quality  of laborers in pesantren  Bahrul Maghfiroh by giving the examplary  attitude  of wara‘,  uswatun  hasanah  (good example) and riyadloh (tirokat)  to all students, all laborers and all teachers (asatizh). Kyai Lukman also expanded the curriculum of teaching in his pesantren. Second, the types of Kyai Lukman’s leadership. From many perceptions,  the researcher could classify that  Kyai Lukman has charismatic,  transformational, and visionary leader attitude.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop a module with the Science, Environment, Technology and Society (SETS) approach to train critical thinking skills on hydrocarbons and petroleum using the Research and Development (R and D) method. This development modul was validated by 3 experts, while the limited trial was only limited to a small trial with 3 respondents from class XII students of SMAN 10 Surabaya to obtain practical and effective data of modules that developed on a small scale. This experiment obtained expert validation results 87% with the “very valid” category, module practicality 94% with the “very practical” category and module effectiveness of 0.8 with the “high” category. The effectiveness of the module is obtained from the pretest and posttest that 3 students have increased their critical thinking skills after the module is given. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the module with the SETS approach in the material of hydrocarbons and petroleum can train students’ critical thinking skills and it is feasible to be tested on larger respondents.

Abstract

Kinerja karyawan merupakan faktor penting bagi suatu organisasi untuk mencapai tujuannya. Berbagai upaya dilakukan oleh suatu organisasi untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawannya. Salah satu upaya tersebut dilakukan dengan penilaian kinerja. Penilaian kinerja pada Bengkel Pemeliharaan dan Perbaikan Toyota PT. Hadji Kalla Makassar dilakukan dalam empat faktor, yaitu kinerja yang berhubungan dengan keuntungan perusahaan, kompetensi karyawan, pelayanan pelanggan, dan peningkatan pekerjaan. Manajemen di perusahaan ini menggunakan penilaian kinerja untuk memberikan bonus, kenaikan gaji, dan promosi jabatan. Namun, manajemen sering menemukan ketidakakuratan (hasil yang salah) dalam penilaian mereka. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah kinerja karyawan, sedangkan variabel independennya adalah kompetensi karyawan, yang terdiri dari kompetensi komunikasi, kerja sama dalam kelompok, kepemimpinan, dan pengambilan keputusan analitik. Metode penelitian observasional, dimana data diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan anialisis regresi linier berganda (Multiple regresional analisis) program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences).. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi, komunikasi, kerja sama dalam kelompok, kepemimpinan, dan pengambilan keputusan analitik pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Bengkel Pemeliharaan dan Perbaikan Toyota PT. Hadji Kalla Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) isolates on the fermentation process of mucuna-based compost. The parameters observed included temperature, pH, color, aroma, and texture for 27 days of fermentation. The results showed that LAB treatment had a significant effect on the acceleration and quality of fermentation results. The temperature increased faster and remained within the optimal range of microbial activity (22–55°C). The pH value decreased in the early fermentation phase due to the production of organic acids, then returned to being stable approaching neutral at the end of fermentation. The color change towards blackish brown occurred faster in the LAB treatment, indicating earlier compost maturity than the control. The odorless aroma appeared earlier (day 9) in the LAB treatment compared to the control (day 12), and the texture became smoother faster. Overall, the use of LAB isolates was proven to accelerate the decomposition process of mucuna organic materials, increase microorganism activity, and produce compost with better quality than without LAB treatment.

Abstract

This research examines the function of library management systems in facilitating digital literacy programs at MTs/MA Al-Kifayah Riau. The study seeks to elucidate the role of planning, implementation, and evaluation processes in the efficacy of digital literacy programs. A qualitative descriptive methodology was utilized, with data gathered via interviews, observations, and documentation involving librarians, educators, students, and school administrators. The results indicate that the library successfully incorporates digital technology into its services, consistent with the school's vision and mission. The planning phase emphasizes the development of programs aligned with the school's work plan (RKM), the enhancement of human resources via training, and the improvement of facilities to facilitate digital services. The implementation employs three methodologies: classroom-based literacy incorporating digital tools into education; school culture-based literacy utilizing digital collections and social media advocacy; and community-based literacy through partnerships with external stakeholders. Evaluation encompasses performance assessments, program outcome analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Significant accomplishments encompass 80% digitalization, a substantial digital book repository comprising 2,762 titles, contemporary amenities such as electronic catalogs and multimedia corners, and pioneering Android-based services.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving mobile application ecosystem, enhancing user experience on the Google Play Store has become a critical challenge due to the vast number of available applications. This study proposes an integrated approach combining Logistic Regression, Min-Max Scaling, and the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) Vectorizer to classify applications and generate personalized recommendations. The dataset, obtained from the Google Play Store, includes numerical features such as ratings, size, and installs, as well as textual data from user reviews. Min-Max Scaling was applied to normalize numerical attributes, ensuring balanced feature contributions during model training. TF-IDF was employed to convert textual reviews into meaningful numerical representations, enabling the model to capture the semantic importance of terms. The classification and recommendation system was evaluated using accuracy, precision, and recall as performance metrics. Experimental results demonstrated a substantial improvement compared to the baseline model, with accuracy, precision, and recall reaching 99.8%, compared to the previous 22.8% baseline performance. The system effectively recommended relevant applications based on user preferences, as measured through cosine similarity in feature space. These results indicate that the proposed method not only improves classification accuracy but also enhances the quality of app recommendations, thereby significantly improving user experience. The findings contribute to the field of computer science by demonstrating an effective integration of feature scaling and text vectorization into a classical machine learning model, offering a scalable and interpretable solution for large-scale recommendation systems in digital marketplaces. This approach can be further adapted to other domains requiring hybrid processing of numerical and textual data for predictive analytics.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan salah satu tahapan dari siklus hidup manusia. Masa ini merupakan masa yang sangat penting dalam siklus kehidupan. Masa awal kematangan organ reproduksi, yang menentukan kualitas generasi selanjutnya. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah belum adanya posyandu remaja dan  kader terlatih. Kepedulian pada remaja perlu dilakukan dengan menginisiasi kegiatan posyandu remaja. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pembentukan posyandu remaja dan pelatihan kader posyandu yang diawali persiapan yaitu perijinan pembentukan posyandu ke Pihak Puskesmas dan penjaringan calon kader ditiap RW berjumlah 40 remaja. Kegiatan yang  kedua adalah pelaksanaan pembentukan posyandu serta pelatihan kader. Kegiatan ketiga adalah pendampingan pelaksanaan posyandu remaja. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya Posyandu Remaja Tali Kasih di Desa Karang Tengah Baturraden sebagai wadah berbagi informasi positif pencegahan penyakit masalah kesehatan bagi para remaja. Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan menghasilkan luaran terbentunya kader posyandu remaja dengan menerapkan sistem 5 meja pelatihan kader untuk pelaksanaan pemeriksaan penimbangan tinggi badan, LILA, IMT dan pemeriksaan tekanan darah.

Abstract

The learning media used by most teachers in schools are power point and whiteboard media. However, these media do not significantly influence students' learning motivation, leading to a decrease in their critical thinking skills. In contrast, the independent curriculum requires students to fulfill the learning objectives for critical thinking. Dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi laju reaksi, penelitian ini mencoba membuat media permainan Si Tole. This study uses a research and development model according to Borg and Gall. The data obtained were then analyzed for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity analysis findings demonstrated that the Si Tole game medium met excellent standards for validity, 93% of the findings of the practicality analysis met the practical requirements and the effectiveness analysis's findings yielded a gain value of 0.8 with a high category. So, it can be concluded that the Si Tole game media is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in the reaction rate material.

Abstract

Abstarct. Adolescents are people aged 10-19 years old. The number of adolescents globally is estimated to be 1.2 billion, or 18% of the world's total population. UNICEF data from 2021 shows several health problems experienced by Indonesian adolescents in 2019, including: 35.5% of adolescents aged 13-15 were smokers, 56% of adolescents aged 13-15 were exposed to secondhand smoke from others both inside and outside school buildings, 56.9% of adolescents aged 13-17 experienced violence, and 49% of adolescents aged 15-19 rarely engaged in physical activity (exercising). The complexity of adolescent health problems requires a comprehensive and integrated approach that involves all relevant cross-program and cross-sector elements. This necessitates a program that directly involves adolescents to identify their needs and expectations for the implementation of adolescent health programs. Programs that can improve the quality of life for adolescents include enhancing the quality of health services, which involves providing adolescent health information and counseling services for adolescents through Family Posyandu (Integrated Health Post). The objective of this community service activity is to implement a community service program that strengthens the capabilities of adolescent Posyandu cadres in preventing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Batu Kumbung Village, Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. The strengthening was carried out by providing education on the Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) involving 15 health cadres, specifically youth Posyandu cadres, who represented all hamlets in Batu Kumbung Village. The results of the activity showed an increase in the capabilities of the health cadres (youth Posyandu cadres), who were able to mention and re-demonstrate how to perform non-communicable disease prevention exercises (weighing BB, measuring TB, calculating BMI, and early cancer detection with the SADARI examination). Abstrak. Remaja merupakan penduduk dalam rentang usia 10 - 19 tahun dengan jumlah kelompok remaja di dunia diperkirakan berjumlah 1,2 milyar atau sebanyak 18% dari jumlah total penduduk di dunia. Data UNICEF 2021, menunjukkan beberapa masalah kesehatan yang dialami oleh remaja di Indonesia tahun 2019 antara lain: sebanyak 35,5% remaja berusia 13 -15 tahun adalah perokok, sebanyak 56% remaja berusia 13 -15 tahun terpapar asap rokok orang lain saat berada didalam gedung sekolah maupun di luar sekolah, sebanyak 56,9% remaja usia 13-17 tahun mengalami kekerasan, sebanyak 49% remaja usia 15-19 tahun jarang melakukan aktifitas fisik (berolahraga). Kompleksnya permasalahan kesehatan pada remaja memerlukan penanganan yang komprehensif dan terintregasi yang melibatkan semua unsur dari lintas program dan lintas sektor terkait. Sehingga diperlukan suatu program yang melibatkan remaja secara langsung yang dapat mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan harapan remaja terhadap pelaksanaan program kesehatan remaja. Program yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas remaja antara lain meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan yang meliputi pemberian informasi kesehatan remaja dan pelayanan konseling bagi remaja melalui Posyandu keluarga. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah: melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui program penguatan kemampuan kader Posyandu Remaja dalam Pencegahan Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) di Desa Batu Kumbung Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Penguatan dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi yaitu tentang Pencegahan Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) dengan mengikutsertakan 15 orang kader kesehatan khususnya kader posyandu remaja yang merupakan perwakilan dari semua dusun di Desa Batu Kumbung. Hasil kegiatan berupa peningkatan kemampuan kader kesehatan (kader posyandu remaja), yang mana kader mampu menyebutkan dan mendemonstrasikan kembali cara melakukan latihan pencegahan penyakit tidak menular (menimbang BB, Mengukur TB, Menghitung IMT, Deteksi Dini Kanker dengan pemeriksaan SADARI).
