Abstract

The presentation of teaching materials is not only limited to print media but already utilizes digital media, so it is necessary to develop a teaching material in the form of an electronic practicum worksheet using an application, namely the 3D PageFlip Professional application. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the 3D PageFlip Professional based Electronic Practicum Worksheet (e-LKP) in the Practical Basics of Analytical Chemistry through the results of validation and lecturer responses to the developed 3D PageFlip Professional-based Electronic Practicum Worksheet (e-LKP). The research and development method used leads to one of the Borg and Gall development models modified by Sugiyono. The research subjects involved consisted of experts (material experts, media experts, and linguists) and Analytical Chemistry Lecturers. The expert provides an assessment of the validity of the material, the suitability of the e-LKP design, conformance with Indonesian language rules, while the lecturer response test contains material aspects, language aspects, and media aspects of the 3D PageFlip Professional-based e-LKP developed by researchers. The results obtained are the feasibility of e-LKP based on 3D PageFlip Professional. Based on the expert's assessment, it is predicted that the feasibility level is very high with the percentage of content aspects (88.88%), presentation aspects (98.61%), language aspects (89.57%), and media aspects (90.83%). Meanwhile, the lecturers' response to the 3D PageFlip Professional-based e-LKP was (86.77%) with very high criteria.Keywords: Development, Electronic Practicum Worksheet, 3D PageFlip Professional, Basics of Analytical Chemistry.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Science literacy is a key to face the challenge in this global era. It becomes a demand to be mastered by every individual whether in daily life or work field. An individual who is aware of science can use the scientific information that he has, to solve the problem in daily life. This research is done to give a description about twelve grade students' ability in learning chemistry based on PISA science literacy in SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat. The method applied in this research is quantitative descriptive. The sample of this research were twelve grade students of SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat. To collect data, the writer implemented some techniques. Those are measurement technique and direct communication technique. The instruments in collecting data in this research are students' achievement test in the form of essay and multiple choice in a passage. Based on the research findings, it showed that chemistry learning in SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat have already trained students' ability in science literacy. It is found that the students' ability in science literacy is  about 68,91% for the content science ability which is categorized as intermediate level and 68,91 for the context science ability, categorized as intermediate level. Abstract

ABSTRACTLearning assessment includes three aspects of learners abilities which are the cognitive ablilities (knowledge), affective abilities(attitude), and psychomotoric abilities(skills). Cognitive abilities tend to be highlighted than affective and psychomotoric abilities. The psychomotoric abilities of student chemistry education department in Muhammadiyah Pontianak University, should be evaluated since the beginning. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a research about of psychomotoric abilities of the third semester students of Chemistry Education Muhammadiyah Pontianak University. This study was conducted using descriptive qualitative approach on 16 students using validated observation shet and interview. The results showed that students average psychomotoric abilities was 73.24%. About 1 student has an excellent categories and 15 students with good categories. However, there some aspect of students psychomotoric abilities which were categorized as poor and very poor.Keywords: analysis, psychomotor ability, students of chemical education

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of students who have difficulty working on material problems in the form of molecules. This study aims to determine the problem solving skills of class X IPA MAS Al-Mustaqim students in solving material problems in the form of molecules. The research method used is descriptive with case studies. The sample of the research was 16 students of class X IPA Mas Al-Mustaqim. Problem solving ability is measured using a written test in the form of an essay. The results of the study concluded that the ability to understand problems in the molecular shape material was high, the ability to prepare students' completion plans was high, and the ability to carry out completion plans was low.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to find out the difference between learning result of the students who were taught by learning cycle model 5 E and those who were taught by conventional learning model as well as to know the effect of learning cycle model 5 E towards learning result of the eleventh grade students in the Coloid experiment at SMA Negeri Pontianak. The sampling system was purposive sampling which XI MIA 3 was choosen as experimental class and XI MIA 2 was choosen as control class. The instruments used were the test of learning result and observation sheets to measure the learning result of the affective and students’ psychomotor. The result of this research showed that the students who were taught by learning cycle model 5 E had the mean score of cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning results were 86,84; 52,63 and 63,15 respectively. Meanwhile the students who were taught by conventional learning model had the mean score of cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning results were 78,94; 42,10 and 52,63 respectively. Hence, it could be concluded that learning cycle model 5E affected on the improvement of students’ learning result which was 28,52 %.Keywords : Learning result, Coloid experiment, learning cycle model 5 E

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the symbolic, the microscopic, and the macroscopic levels of multi representation skills on Reaction Rate class among Science students of the eleventh grade of SMA Muhammadiyah Ketapang. The subjects of this study were 30 eleventh grade Science students of SMA Muhammadiyah ketapang. The data collection techniques were interview and test. The study reveals a number of findings. First, the symbolic level of multi representation skills of the first question was 86,5% (excellent), the second question was 59,22% (average), and the third question was 66% ( good). In other words, the students’ skill on symbolic level of multi representation is considered good by 70,57%. Second, the students’ skill on macroscopic level of multi representation on question number four is considered excellent by 83,86%, question number five is considered average by 68,57%, and question number six is considered very good by 77,14%. Overall, the students’ skill on macroscopic level of multi representation is very good by 76,52%. Last, the students’ skill on microscopic level of multi representation on question number seven is considered average by 52,86%, question number eight is considered poor by 36,14%, and question number nine is considered poor by 34,71%. In conclusion, the students’ skill on microscopic level of multi representation is below average by 41,25%.Keywords: Description, Multi Representation Skills, Reaction Rate

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of booklet-based on PQ4R learning method. Using quasi experimental method, as well as nonequivalent control group design, this study employed students of grade X as the samples (Grade XA as the control group and grade XB as the experiment group). They were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection tools used were essay and interview. While the data collection technique employed were measurement and direct communication. The study revealed that the average posttest score of the experiment group was 83,68, while the average posttest score of the experiment group was 83,68. Hence the experiment group was distributively considered normal. The homogeneity test indicated that both groups were homogenous (sig value 0,0522>0,05). However, the hypothetical test of t independent sample with α=0,05 discovered T account of 2,960>560. This value indicated that there was a significant difference of students’ learning achievement by using booklet based PQ4R method and lecturing method in chemical bonding class at grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Pengkadan. Abstract

Quizizz merupakan sebuah platform gamification-education yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat peserta didik terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran. Mengkombinasikan evaluasi pembelajaran lewat permainan interaktif akan membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik. Quizizz dapat juga dimanfaatkan sebagai media yang interaktif dalam mendelivery materi lewat presentasi yang interaktif. Quizizz memberikan kesempatan pendidik untuk berkolaborasi dalam pembuatan soal evaluasi dan bahan ajar sehingga dapat mempermudah Pendidik dalam pengembangan kompetensi profesionalisme. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan Quizizz sebagai alat evaluasi online dalam pembelajaran oleh Pendidik baik guru, dosen dan calon guru. Struktur kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan secara online dalam 2 bagian kegiatan yaitu sesi Webinar Materi (WM) dan sesi Online Task Training (OTT).

Abstract

The main purpose of this study to determine whether there was significant difference of process science skills between student who were taught through learning 5E learning cycle and conventional model on colligative properties of solutions concept. Nonequivalent control group  design was adopted in this study as research design. Population consisted of all second semester students of chemistry education program according to purposive sampling technique, A1 and A2 class were chosen as experimental and control group. Process science skill test was used to collect data. According to independent t test, it was found that p-value = 0.017<a = 0.05, which meant if there was a significant difference of process science skill between students who were taught through 5E learning cycle and conventional model on colligative properties of solutions concept.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada pembelajaran menggunakan model siklus belajar 5E materi Hukum Dasar Kimia.Bentuk penelitian adalahquasi experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGMIPAUFKIP UNTAN Tahun Akademik 2014/2015 dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pengukuran denganinstrumen tes hasil belajar.Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata pemahaman konsep mahasiswameningkat dengan kategori rendah berdasarkan skor gain ternormalisasi. Disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep mahasiswa setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran yang menggunakan model siklus belajar 5E pada materi hukum dasar kimia mengalami peningkatan. Kata kunci: Model siklus belajar 5E, pemahaman konsep, hukum dasar kimia.   The aim of this study is to describe student conceptual understanding on learning cycle 5E model on law of fundamental chemistry. one of quasi experimental design “One group pretest-postest design” was used in this study. Population and sample on this study are pgmipau fkip untan students on academic year of 2014/2015. Tes of student achievement was used to get data. Descriptive qualitative technique was used to analyze data. Result of this study is student conceptual understanding isimproved with low chategory according to normalized gain score.  To conclude, student conceptual understanding after studying using learning cycle 5E model on law of fundamental chemistry was improved.
