Abstract

Referring to the significance of the energy sector in the national economy, changes in global oil prices have a significant impact on the raw materials economy in Indonesia. This research aims to explore the influence of international oil price fluctuations on the oil and gas sector, investment in the energy sector, and state income. The methods applied include qualitative and quantitative approaches to assess these impacts, including analysis of historical data regarding global oil prices, domestic energy production patterns, and energy policies implemented by the government. The study results show that global oil price fluctuations not only affect government revenues from the oil and gas sector, but also pose challenges to investment sustainability, energy diversification and economic stability. Indonesia's dependence on petroleum as its main energy source makes it vulnerable to changes in international markets. Therefore, adaptive actions are needed, such as increasing energy efficiency, accelerating the development of renewable energy, and strengthening economic diversification based on natural resources. This study presents strategic recommendations to minimize the negative impact of global oil price fluctuations on the national economy, with an emphasis on strengthening energy policy and optimizing the potential of other natural resources. This research also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in facing these challenges.

Abstract

Tualang Formation which is the research target is located in the “KHF” Field, Central Sumatra Basin. Petrophysical analysis was carried out on three wells using data from well log, core, and mudlog to determine reservoir characteristics so that prospect zones can be determined. Reservoir in Tualang Formation is shaly sandstone which contains a lot of clay minerals. The clay content will affect the characteristics of the reservoir. Calculation results of shale volume, effective porosity, and water saturation show quite high values with cut-off of shale volume 60%, porosity 10%, and water saturation 65%. The prospect zone on the KHF-1 at 3,214-3,258 ft, KHF-2 at 3,272-3,318 ft, and KHF-3 at 3,210- 3,244 ft, 3,320-3,386 ft, and 3,430-3,452 ft. The best reservoir candidate is tidal channel facies because it is evenly distributed in all three wells and is the thickest compared to other facies. Abstract

The energy transition era initiated by the Indonesian government through strategic policies such as the National Energy Plan (Rencana Umum Energi Nasional or RUEN) and the 2060 Net Zero Emission target has significantly impacted the sustainability of the oil and gas (O&G) industry. These policies encourage the industry to adopt low-carbon technologies, diversify energy portfolios, and enhance operational efficiency. Major oil and gas companies such as Pertamina and MedcoEnergi have started transforming their operations by investing in renewable energy projects such as bioenergy, solar power, and hydrogen initiatives. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology has also emerged as a key solution to reduce emissions from O&G operations. However, this transition faces significant challenges, including high investment requirements, regulatory uncertainty, and competition from renewable energy. Despite these obstacles, government policies have proven effective in driving innovation and accelerating the integration of the oil and gas industry into a low- carbon economy[1]. This article aims to analyze the impact of government policies on the sustainability of Indonesia's oil and gas industry and provide insights into the strategic role of the sector in supporting the national energy transition..

Abstract

Transparency in the management of upstream oil and gas contracts in Indonesia is crucial to ensure the efficient and accountable management of natural resources. The two main contract schemes applied, Cost Recovery and Gross Split, each face challenges related to transparency. In the Cost Recovery scheme, transparency issues are related to the verification of costs submitted by contractors, while in the Gross Split scheme, transparency is needed in determining objective production-sharing parameters. Digital technology emerges as a solution to improve accountability, but its implementation requires strong regulatory support and infrastructure investment. The principle of good faith between the government and contractors is also a key factor in achieving effective transparency. Strengthening the capacity of SKK Migas as the regulatory body and ensuring information openness to the public are essential to building trust and creating sustainable management.

Abstract

Ethnic and cultural diversity is not only a characteristic of Indonesia, but also part of national identity. Indonesia is known as a country with extraordinary tribes and cultures. Consisting of more than 300 ethnic groups and 700 regional languages. Indonesia is a clear example of the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" which means "Diverse but still one". This diversity is not a challenge, but rather a wealth and strength that makes Indonesia unique in the eyes of the world. However, amidst cultural richness, the challenge of maintaining social harmony is a necessity that cannot be ignored. These challenges include discrimination and intolerance, globalization and westernization, and so on. Providing the above resistance, efforts are needed to maintain harmony amidst diversity through multicultural education, intercultural dialogue, and also involving the government and mass media. However, sometimes these differences actually cause divisions between nations.

Abstract

The fluctuation of fuel prices (BBM) significantly impacts the national economy and public purchasing power. This study examines the dynamic relationship between fuel price adjustments, economic growth, inflation, and the socioeconomic conditions of society. The findings reveal that an increase in fuel prices often triggers a domino effect, including rising transportation and production costs, ultimately affecting consumer prices and reducing purchasing power. Conversely, the decline in fuel prices provides a short-term boost to public spending but may challenge government revenue if fuel subsidies increase. Policy recommendations include balancing fuel price adjustments with measures to protect vulnerable groups and maintain economic stability.

Abstract

Indonesia's dependence on oil and gas imports has become a significant challenge to the country's economic stability, with impacts on the trade deficit, global energy price fluctuations, and fiscal dependence. This study aims to evaluate the economic impact of efforts to reduce Indonesia's dependence on oil and gas imports, focusing on the implications for economic growth, trade balance, and national energy security. The methods used include secondary data analysis, macroeconomic modeling, and simulation of the impact of energy policies such as increasing domestic oil and gas production, energy diversification, and renewable energy development. The results show that reducing dependence on oil and gas imports has the potential to reduce pressure on the trade balance and foreign exchange reserves, and improve long-term energy security. However, the transition to domestic energy security requires large investments in the renewable energy sector, supporting infrastructure, and policies that support energy efficiency. This study suggests the need for an integrated policy strategy between the government, private sector, and society to achieve the goal of reducing oil and gas dependence and improving Indonesia's economic competitiveness.

Abstract

In the era of globalization that is full of challenges, the ability to think critically is becoming increasingly relevant. This research aims to examine how the integration of the trilogy of soul aspects (rasa, cipta, and karsa) in the learning process can foster critical thinking character in the younger generation. Through literature review and case studies, this research will identify learning strategies that are effective in stimulating students' critical thinking skills, as well as analyze their influence on overall character development. The results of the research are expected to contribute to the development of a more holistic curriculum and teaching practices, so as to produce a young generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has a strong and competitive character. The formation of critical thinking character does not only involve the teaching and learning process in the classroom, but also needs to be balanced with real experiences outside the academic environment. Through a holistic approach, it is hoped that the younger generation will be able to develop critical thinking skills that are not only useful in the context of education, but also in everyday life. Education based on this trilogy of aspects of the soul will provide a strong foundation for young people to face global challenges and contribute positively to society. This trilogy includes intellectual understanding, emotional and values development, and practical skills that support each other. By integrating these three aspects, education will not only shape individuals who are intellectually intelligent, but also have social awareness and adaptability in a changing society. Character education has become a central issue in education today. This research proposes that integrating the trilogy of aspects of the soul can be an effective approach in building critical thinking character in the younger generation. By stimulating the trilogy aspects in a balanced manner, it is expected that they will be able to develop critical thinking skills that are not only logic-based, but also based on moral values and empathy. This research will test this hypothesis through experiments or case studies at an educational institution.
