Abstract

Abstract

The study on Macarang hypolueca (Reichb.f. & Zoll.), which was collected from secondary forests around Samarinda City, East Kalimantan, involved phytochemical investigations that led to the isolation of a flavone type compound of flavonoid from the ethyl acetate fraction. To separate the compounds, silica gel column chromatography was utilized with a gradient solvent system of n-hexane and ethyl acetate, along with the addition of 5%. Infrared analysis (FTIR), mass spectrum (LC-ESI-MS), and nuclear magnetic resonance (1D- and 2D-NMR) were used to identify and elucidate the structure. Based on spectroscopic data and comparison with appropriate references, the isolated compound was identified as apigenin

Abstract

The current parking infrastructure predominantly relies on traditional or semi-automatic mechanisms, leading to significant inefficiencies during peak hours. This study proposes the development of a fully automated smart parking system utilizing locally sourced Indonesian components to reduce dependence on imported parts. The proposed Auto-Debit Smart Parking System incorporates Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for vehicle identification and automated payment, improving both accuracy and operational efficiency. The system consists of two primary modules: server software for gate control and an image-processing host application. Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) is employed for switching control, and communication is facilitated via wired or wireless channels using the RS232C standard. Vehicle entry and exit are detected by sensors that transmit signals to the Command TX module. To evaluate real world applicability, the system was implemented and tested in various public and commercial environments, including office buildings, shopping malls, and open parking areas. These testing sites represent common urban parking conditions with varying lighting, network connectivity, and traffic density, allowing the system’s adaptability and reliability to be analyzed comprehensively. An experimental research method is adopted, encompassing prototype development, testing, data acquisition, and performance evaluation. The results indicate reduced operational costs and enhanced user convenience, validating the system’s effectiveness in supporting modern, efficient parking management

Abstract

The corona virus (Covid-19) is a very dangerous virus at this time which can cause death. This corona virus has symptoms including fever, dry cough, fatigue, difficulty breathing, chest pain, and loss of the ability to speak or move. According to experts, this symptom will appear in 5-6 days, but it can also occur for 14 days after exposure to the corona virus. Therefore, efforts that can be made to help the people of Alue Ie Puteh Village in preventing exposure to the corona virus are by wearing a polypropylene mask. In addition, it can increase the role and function of universities in making masks made of polypropylene to help decide the spread of the corona virus. The method applied is a direct approach which includes location surveys, socialization, lectures and practices. This approach method is used to collect data on problems faced by the community. The lecture method is carried out by providing information to the public, to find out about the benefits of making masks made of polypropylene which are useful for protecting against exposure to the corona virus. The practical method is carried out by providing training in making masks. The results achieved were the increased understanding and skills of PKK women in Alue Ie Puteh Village regarding the manufacture of masks made from polypropylene that can prevent and prevent exposure to the corona virus.

Abstract

This research explores the legal and political dynamics surrounding the recognition of customary land rights in Indonesia, from the Dutch colonial era to the post-Reformation period. The recognition of customary rights, a concept introduced by van Vollenhoven and later refined by Ter Haar, has evolved through various legal frameworks influenced by shifting political regimes. During the colonial period, Dutch policies acknowledged customary rights, particularly in indigenous areas like Riau and Jambi, though often in a limited and exploitative manner. Post-independence, however, the recognition of customary rights became more complex. The Old Order regime adopted a repressive stance, recognizing customary rights under strict conditions to avoid separatism, while the New Order further diminished these rights in favor of state land control, particularly for corporate interests. The Reform era introduced a somewhat more inclusive yet still restrictive approach to customary land rights, with legal frameworks acknowledging them in principle but often sidelining their practical application in favor of development agendas. This study analyzes these shifting policies using Nonet and Selznick’s framework of repressive, autonomous, and responsive law, concluding that Indonesia’s legal approach to customary rights has been predominantly repressive, with brief periods of responsiveness during certain regulatory changes. Looking forward, the research argues for a shift toward a responsive legal policy that actively involves indigenous communities in the legislative process and provides a clear, inclusive, and sustainable framework for recognizing and protecting customary land rights. Such a shift would be crucial in addressing the historical and ongoing marginalization of indigenous peoples in land-related issues, fostering a more equitable and participatory legal environment.

Abstract

State forest management in Indonesia faces a complex problem due to the existence of community-owned land within the state forest area, which often triggers tenurial conflicts. This study is conducted to analyze the legal status of community land ownership within state forests and assess dispute resolution based on the principles of Pancasila Justice. The research method adopted is a juridical-empirical approach, which is normative in terms of forestry and agrarian laws and regulations, and empirical through field observations and limited interviews conducted in the KPH East Banyumas. Research findings indicate that there were 0.9 hectares of community-owned land in Plot 14 of RPH Kaliputih, Forest Management Unit Section of Jatilawang, which has been factually controlled and cultivated for years with clear physical boundaries. Administratively, it still falls under a state forest area, as per the BATB. The dualism of regulations between the Forestry Law and the Basic Agrarian Law resulted in a lack of synchronization of interpretation and weak legal certainty. Through the Pancasila Justice Perspective, it is necessary for the settlement of disputes not only to be formally lawful but also to balance the rights of the state and the community, environmental sustainability, and social justice. An integrative resolution model is recommended through regulatory harmonization, verification of enclave land status, strengthening deliberation-based mediation mechanisms, and protection of the community rights based on the principle of substantive justice.
