Abstract

Not all couples married for years in Sleman Regency possess a marriage certificate, as stated in Article 7 Paragraph 1 of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). Various factors contribute to this, including lost certificates due to disasters, carelessness, or marriages conducted solely under religious law (nikah siri). Couples who have lost their marriage certificate can request a duplicate from the KUA where they were married, providing a cover letter from their village and a loss certificate from the police. For those whose marriages are unregistered, applying for itsbat nikah at the Sleman Religious Court is advised. This study aims to describe the process of granting itsbat nikah and address the challenges faced in the Sleman Religious Court. Employing a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach, data was collected through document analysis related to itsbat nikah and interviews with Sleman judges. The findings indicate that the application of Article 7 Paragraph (2) KHI in Sleman should align with the 2014 guidelines from the Supreme Court of Indonesia’s Directorate General of Religious Justice. The legal outcome of establishing itsbat nikah at PA Sleman ensures the validity of marriages without certificates under State Administrative Law.

Abstract

Vocational High School is one of the vocational education that organizes education to prepare the next generation who are skilled in the industrial field. Activities at Vocational High Schools are more practical activities in workshops or laboratories. It is very important to introduce occupational safety and health to students so that they are able to recognize potential hazards in the workshop or laboratory. Based on an initial survey at the State Vocational High School 2 Surakarta, it has a machine laboratory which has lathe, milling, grinding, welding machine, and technical drawing facilities. The results of the initial survey focused on potential ergonomic hazards, because the results of observations on students who use equipment or machines in the laboratory do excessive muscle loading such as bending, twisting, neck flexion>200 and static foot positions so that potential musculoskeletal disorders can occur. So the purpose of the community service activity is to measure work posture to see the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and perform ergonomic exercises as a means of stretching muscles that experience loading. This community service activity runs with 2 methods, namely the Measurement Method and the exercise Method. The measurement method is anthropometric measurements used to determine the suitability of body posture with the dimensions of work equipment, so that these measurements can be used as a reference for the acceptance of SMKN 2 Surakarta students, especially in the aspect of height requirements. REBA measurement is a measurement of work posture that focuses on the upper body and lower body, such as the neck, shoulders, upper arms, and legs, so that we can see a picture of ergonomic risk factors in students majoring in machinery at SMKN 2 Surakarta. Nordic Body Map measurements are used to determine the level of musculoskeletal disorders. Activities in the laboratory of SMKN 2 Surakarta that have the risk of unnatural work postures have an impact on the occurrence of MSDs complaints. Exercise method, where the potential ergonomic risks are medium and high categories, it is necessary to take action to help reduce these potential hazards, one of which is by doing ergonomic gymnastics. This exercise model is made based on observations and measurements of potential ergonomic hazards, especially looking at body parts that experience unnatural work postures and static loading, so that this exercise model can be used as a way to reduce the risk of MSDs. Ergonomic gymnastics activities can be an alternative to reduce complaints of musculoskeletal disorders. The conclusion of community service activities is that activities in the lathe and technical drawing laboratories have high ergonomic risks and milling and grinding machines have moderate ergonomic risks so that ergonomic exercises can be applied before doing activities using machines or learning pauses for 5-10 minutes.

Abstract

The Puskesmas accreditation enhances public health service quality, but its role in stunting prevention is underexplored. Stunting, a critical public health issue, is influenced by healthcare services and socioeconomic factors, including family economic conditions. This study examines the impact of Puskesmas accreditation on stunting prevention in Jeneponto (highest stunting rate) and Barru (lowest stunting rate) in South Sulawesi. Using cross-sectional data from the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Study, analyzed hierarchical data (individual, family, and district levels) comprising 192 mothers, (89 mothers in Jeneponto and 103 in Barru) with infants aged 0–23 months. Descriptive and multilevel binary logistic regression analyses were conducted. At the individual level, stunting was linked to basic education (aOR 3.26; 95% CI: 1.38–7.70) and non-exclusive breastfeeding (aOR 3.64; 95% CI: 1.25–10.6). At the family level, inadequate sanitation (aOR 0.16; 95% CI: 0.03–0.84), higher asset ownership (aOR 0.13; 95% CI: 0.03–0.54). At the district level, Puskesmas accreditation was associated with lower odds of stunting (aOR 0.32; 95% CI: 0.11–0.93). The findings highlight the importance of maintaining Puskesmas accreditation and addressing socioeconomic disparities, such as family economic conditions, to ensure sustainable stunting prevention.

Abstract

Chronic exposure to cotton dust in the textile manufacturing industry has been a possible risk factor for pulmonary obstruction. Not many studies, however, have investigated its impact in combination with personal variables like age, gender, and length of service, particularly in developing countries. The present study investigated the impact of cotton dust exposure, age, gender, and length of service on the incidence of pulmonary obstruction among textile workers in Surakarta, Indonesia. Observational analytic study using cross-sectional design was done on 88 eligible workers. Quantitation of exposure to cotton dust was done with a High-Volume Air Sampler and lung function ascertained using spirometry. Data analysis was done through simple and multiple binary logistic regression at a significance level of 0.05. The incidence of pulmonary obstruction was 56.8%. Being exposed to cotton dust levels exceeding the threshold limit value (TLV) of 0.2 mg/m³ significantly increased the risk of pulmonary obstruction (OR: 4.18; 95% CI: 1.51–11.63; p=0.006). Employment duration was also significantly associated with pulmonary obstruction (OR: 1.21 per year; 95% CI: 1.03–1.44; p=0.023), while age and gender were not significant predictors. The accuracy of the final model was 75%, which is considered to be acceptable in occupational health studies in predictive modeling. The current research reaffirms that long-term exposure to cotton dust and extended working hours are critical risk factors for pulmonary obstruction in textile industry workers. Therefore, it is recommended to long-working-hour employees to have proper control of the exposure and continuous lung function monitoring.

Abstract

This research aims to identify potential hazards and assess the level of fire risk in a textile company located in Sukoharjo Regency using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. The research background is based on the high fire hazard potential in the textile industry due to the use of flammable chemicals, high operating temperatures, and the accumulation of combustible fibers and textile dust. A descriptive research approach was applied through field observations, interviews with workers and the OHS team, and technical document analysis. The results showed that the highest risk levels were found in the dyeing process, electrical panel room, and machine maintenance activities (welding/repair), with risk scores reaching 20 (high category). The main contributing factors included non-standard electrical installations, poor ventilation, and unsafe work behavior. Risk control strategies are recommended through technical, administrative, and behavioral approaches, including smoke detection systems, routine evacuation training, and the reinforcement of safety culture. The implementation of these measures is expected to improve the effectiveness of occupational health and safety management systems and reduce the potential for fire incidents in the textile industry.

Abstract

The lipid profile is a crucial indicator of cardiovascular disease risk, with elevated levels often influenced by dietary patterns. Nutrient intake and physical activity can help regulate cholesterol by reducing total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglyceride levels. This study aims to compare the lipid profiles among vegan vegetarians, lacto-ovo vegetarians, and non-vegetarians. This research uses a cross-sectional study design. The study population includes 60 participants from IVS and the Yogyakarta community, selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research examines diet type as the independent variable, lipid profile as the dependent variable, and physical activity as a confounding variable. Data collection involves respondent identity and a physical activity questionnaire using IPAQ. Statistical analyses include one-way ANOVA, Post Hoc tests and multivariate analysis with one-way MANCOVA. The research results show that the total cholesterol level for vegan (173.10±21.04), lacto-ovo (169.45±44.84), and non-vegetarians (194.55±31.40). HDL levels for vegan are (55.25±10.79), lacto-ovo (49.00±9.12), and non-vegetarians (45.49±9.11). LDL levels for vegan are (111.90±19.80), lacto-ovo (114.85±44.39), and non-vegetarians (134.90±30.37), showing no significant difference p>0.05. Triglyceride levels for vegan are (103.15±57.06), lacto-ovo (100.65±60.07), and non-vegetarians (154.15±88.63) with significant differences p-value <0.05. When controlling for physical activity, differences in total cholesterol, HDL, and triglycerides persist between diet groups. Notably, HDL levels differ significantly between vegans and lacto-ovo (p<0.05). The conclusion is that both vegan and lacto-ovo diets have lipid profiles within the normal range compared to non-vegetarian diets. A vegetarian diet and regular physical activity contribute to a healthier lipid profile.
