Abstract

This research aims to review the Pancasila Student Profile as an effort to realize student character from Thomas Lickona's perspective. The method used in this research is a library research approach, where library research can be interpreted as a series of activities relating to methods of collecting library data, reading and taking notes and processing research materials. The Pancasila Student Profile is a character development framework based on Pancasila values. The six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile are in line with the three key elements of character education according to Thomas Lickona: knowing the good, loving the good, and doing the good. This research explains how the Pancasila Student Profile can be implemented in learning to help students develop strong character. This implementation can be done through various methods, such as project-based learning, collaborative learning, and authentic assessment. The results of this research explain several challenges and strategies in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile. These challenges include a lack of understanding about character education, lack of resources, and a school culture that is not yet supportive. Strategies to overcome these challenges include increasing outreach and education about character education, strengthening resources, and building a supportive school culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the school committee in improving the quality of education at SD Muhammadiyah Tegalgede, focusing on the challenges and strategies faced. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies. The results show that the school committee plays a role as an advisory, supporting, controlling, and mediating body in enhancing educational quality. The committee is actively involved in providing policy recommendations, fundraising, ensuring financial transparency, and facilitating communication between the school, parents, and the community. However, the main challenges include parental protests over high school fees and dissatisfaction with the quality of school services. To address these issues, the school committee reevaluated the school fees, improved financial transparency, and trained teachers and staff to be more responsive to the needs of students and parents. This study concludes that the role of the school committee is crucial in improving educational quality, although further efforts are needed to enhance parental participation and address resource limitations.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the Ketarunaan extracurricular program on improving students’ punctuality at SMK Gula Rajawali, Kota Madiun. Punctuality is a fundamental aspect of character development that is essential for academic, social, and professional success. However, a lack of timeliness remains a persistent challenge in educational environments. The Ketarunaan program at this school is believed to hold significant potential in instilling discipline through its structured and distinctive activities. This research adopts a qualitative approach to explore how the implementation of the Ketarunaan program affects students' punctual behavior. The conceptual framework highlights three main mechanisms through which the program operates. First, the consistent practice of morning assemblies and marching routines trains students to arrive on time. Second, self-awareness training encourages students to understand the value of time and the consequences of indiscipline, fostering internal motivation. Third, a participatory approach and habituation across all Ketarunaan activities actively engage students, making them more motivated to comply with time-related rules. These three pillars synergistically contribute to the enhancement of students’ punctuality. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of the Ketarunaan program as a strategy for strengthening time discipline and to offer valuable insights for the development of similar programs in other educational institutions.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of digital education encourages secondary schools to adjust learning patterns to the demands of the 21st century. However, many principals experience confusion in changing traditional leadership practices into adaptive, inspiring, and transformative leadership styles amidst the flow of digitalization. This study aims to examine in depth the experiences of principals and teachers in implementing a transformative leadership model in the context of digital education in Senior High Schools. The research approach used is qualitative with a phenomenological method, which focuses on the subjective meaning and direct experiences of informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using thematic techniques through a manual coding process and interpretation of the meaning of experience. The results of the study indicate that transformative leadership practices emerge from a collective awareness of the importance of digital vision, an internal drive to empower teachers through technology, and a commitment to building an innovative and collaborative culture. The experiences of informants show that leadership that is value- based, reflective, and open to change plays a key role in improving students' 21st century skills. This study provides in-depth insights for school leaders and policy makers to design a more meaningful leadership approach that is oriented towards educational transformation in the era of technological disruption.
