Abstract

Education system policy that gives authority to leaders is expected to make it easier for school principals to carry out their duties in achieving educational success. The study aims to analyze the characteristics of the principal’s duties as manager, supervisor and entrepreneur in SMP Muhammadiyah PK Kota Barat Surakarta and SMP IT Al Anis Kartasura. This type of research is field research, it uses data collection techniques, in depth interviews, observation and documentation. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with case study approach. The results of the study reveal the characteristics of the principal’s duties as a manager that the principals manage the school program including a time framed work plan for the management of curriculum. The characteristics of the principal’s duties as supervisors are indicated by the principals planning supervision activities by forming a team, carrying out academic supervision with class visits and carry out follow up supervision by including training. The characteristics of the principal’s duties as an entrepreneur can be seen from the school programs innovations such as curriculum development, motivating school stakeholders through advice on instilling an entrepreneurial spirit through a culture of habituation.

Abstract

The quality of teachers is an essential factor in determining the efficacy of the national education system.  In Indonesia, measures to improve teacher quality have increasingly concentrated on elevating educational qualification standards, influenced by regulatory frameworks and political goals.  This study aims to examine the Legal Policies Regulating Teacher Education Qualifications and examine Directions for Achievement of Policies on Teacher Education Qualifications.  This research examines major legislation, including the Teacher and Lecturer Law, and approriate government policies to explain the achievements and weaknesses of these campaigns.  The research examines the political dynamics influencing educational reform, encompassing stakeholder interests, obstacles to policy execution, and the impact of decentralization.  Research indicates that although more rigorous qualifying criteria can enhance teacher proficiency, effective policy implementation and continuous professional development are crucial for enduring advancement.  The novelty of this research lies in the integrative effort to align the national educational legislative framework with educational best practices as the foundation for improving the quality of teaching across Indonesia.

Abstract

Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) merupakan implikasi penting yang harus dimiliki oleh semua pelajar sebagai upaya membentuk individu yang produktif dan berguna bagi masyarakat dan negara. Namun, muncul berbagai masalah sosial dan tantangan dalam PPK bangsa Indonesia khususnya pada anak-anak Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) di luar negeri. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana upaya dan dampak pengembangan program PPK pada anak anak PMI di Sanggar Bimbingan (SB) Malaysia sebagai institusi pendidikan non-formal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan selama tiga bulan. Tahap pertama adalah tahap persiapan dengan menggali informasi yang dibutuhkan, menetapkan materi dan peserta. Tahap kedua adalah tahap pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari sosialisasi, pendampingan dan pelatihan, tes awal dan tes akhir selama dua bulan. Tahap ketiga adalah tahap evaluasi dan pelaporan termasuk tindak lanjut program secara berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian yang menggunakan teori experiential learning ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan nilai-nilai PPK pada anak anak PMI khususnya nilai religius, nasionalis, integritas dan gotong royong yang sesuai dengan Pancasila dan Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK). Lebih lanjut implementasi penelitian ini berkontribusi secara berkelanjutan untuk memberikan pedagogy efektif di lembaga pendidikan informal di luar negeri dengan berusaha menyesuaikan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pada pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman dalam pembiasaan nilai-nilai Pancasila dan AIK dalam kehidupan keseharian di keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada pembelajaran IPAS materi “Perubahan Wujud Benda” di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek seorang guru dan 14 siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 1 Canden. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk menggambarkan proses pembelajaran secara faktual dan kontekstual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan, antusiasme, serta pemahaman konsep ilmiah siswa karena mereka terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan proyek dan percobaan. Siswa menunjukkan kemampuan bekerja sama, berkomunikasi, serta memahami konsep perubahan wujud benda secara lebih konkret melalui pengalaman belajar yang nyata. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang mengarahkan proses pembelajaran, meskipun beberapa tantangan muncul terkait pengelolaan waktu dan pemerataan kesempatan eksperimen antarkelompok. Secara keseluruhan, model PjBL terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran IPAS yang aktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna bagi siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Teachers' pedagogical competence is crucial in realizing meaningful learning, but elementary school teachers face many challenges and require the progressive educational leadership of the principal to drive and strengthen it. This research aims to analyze progressive educational leadership in strengthening primary school teachers' pedagogical competence. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at one of the public elementary schools in Kebakkramat District, Karanganyar, with the principal and teachers as subjects. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data was analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data was validated through source and technique triangulation. The research findings indicate that the progressive educational leadership implemented by the principal through the roles of leading learning, developing people, and building collaborative cultures is capable of comprehensively strengthening teachers' pedagogical competence. Teachers become more capable of designing learning according to students' characteristics, implementing effective and adaptive learning, and conducting continuous evaluation, reflection, and follow-up of learning. The progressive educational leadership of school principals plays a strategic role in strengthening the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers, so it needs to be consistently implemented through reflective supervision, continuous mentoring, and strengthening a collaborative culture in schools.

Abstract

This aim of research to determine the development and effectiveness of motion graphic video for elementary school students in science subjects. This exploratory sequential mixed method research uses a combination of qualitative descriptive methods to define the current situation and product development process as as well as experimental methods in each control and experimental group. This research was conducted in two different selected elementary schools. Researchers used interviews and observation methods for qualitative research, as well as tests to measure the effectiveness of the motion graphic media being developed. At the qualitative stage, this research found the need to develop interactive audio-visual media. This research shows the values ​​of prophetic education and establishes its connection with the pillars of positive politeness. Values ​​are divided based on humanization (amar ma'ruf), liberation (nahi mungkar), and transcendence (tu'minubillah). First, the values ​​of cooperation, generosity, honesty, politeness, and tolerance are included in humanization. Second, the values ​​of education, health, mutual cooperation, and hard work fall into the category of liberation. Third, Istiqomah, the value of worshiping Allah SWT, gratitude, and humility (tawadhu') are grouped under transcendence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi nilai-nilai kepemimpinan progresif dengan penerapan deep learning dalam pembelajaran di SMP Satu Atap Kutorojo. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan yang berlandaskan pada model Miles et al. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan progresif melalui tiga strategi utama, yaitu kolaborasi partisipatif, inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi sederhana, dan penguatan nilai empati. Strategi tersebut mendorong guru untuk lebih reflektif dan kreatif dalam merancang pembelajaran yang bermakna. Implementasi deep learning tercermin dalam kegiatan proyek kontekstual, refleksi diri siswa, dan penggunaan penilaian otentik. Integrasi kedua pendekatan ini menciptakan iklim belajar yang adaptif, inklusif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kombinasi kepemimpinan progresif dan deep learning dapat menjadi model pengembangan pembelajaran di sekolah pedesaan yang berorientasi pada inovasi dan nilai kemanusiaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan progresif kepala madrasah dalam mengintegrasikan kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum kepesantrenan di Madrasah Tsanawiyah berbasis pondok pesantren. Integrasi kurikulum dipandang tidak hanya sebagai penggabungan struktur pembelajaran, tetapi juga sebagai proses strategis yang memerlukan kepemimpinan adaptif dan berorientasi nilai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala madrasah, guru mata pelajaran umum, ustadz pesantren, dan santri. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan progresif tercermin dalam perencanaan kurikulum partisipatif, kolaborasi pembelajaran antara guru dan ustadz, serta pengelolaan pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan kontekstual. Kepemimpinan ini berperan penting dalam mengatasi perbedaan paradigma pedagogis dan menjaga keseimbangan antara tuntutan akademik dan pembinaan keagamaan. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan progresif menjadi faktor kunci dalam mewujudkan integrasi kurikulum yang holistik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) presents significant opportunities for art education in elementary schools, particularly within the Independent Curriculum framework that prioritizes creativity, autonomy, and technological literacy. This study examines the implementation of AI-assisted digital art learning by elementary school teachers and its impact on students' technological literacy development. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with collective case study design, data were gathered through observations, interviews, and document analysis in multiple elementary schools implementing the Independent Curriculum. The interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña guided the data analysis process. Findings revealed high student enthusiasm and active engagement in prompt-based digital art activities, demonstrating increased interest in continued participation. AI integration enhanced students' creativity, conceptual comprehension, and technical proficiency in digital artwork creation. Furthermore, the learning process strengthened technological literacy through prompt development skills, critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs, and independent application utilization. However, challenges emerged regarding teacher preparedness, disparities in students' digital competencies, and insufficient devices and infrastructure. This study concludes that AI-assisted digital art learning represents a relevant and innovative pedagogical strategy effectively supporting Independent Curriculum implementation in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transformation of the learning process during the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in third-grade students at Cipta Muda Public Elementary School, Buay Madang District, East OKU Regency. The focus of the study includes changes in learning approaches, the roles of teachers and students, and the obstacles and strategies implemented during the curriculum adaptation process. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers have begun implementing project-based learning and differentiated learning based on student characteristics. The teacher's role has shifted from instructor to learning facilitator, while students become more active and independent. However, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum still faces obstacles, particularly in teacher readiness to develop independent learning modules and limited supporting facilities. This study concludes that the learning transformation towards the Independent Curriculum has progressed progressively, but requires ongoing mentoring, teacher training, and institutional support for optimal implementation. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan transformasi proses pembelajaran dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di kelas III SD Negeri Cipta Muda, Kecamatan Buay Madang, Kabupaten OKU Timur. Fokus penelitian meliputi perubahan pendekatan pembelajaran, peran guru dan peserta didik, serta kendala dan strategi yang diterapkan selama proses adaptasi kurikulum. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mulai menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sesuai karakteristik peserta didik. Peran guru bergeser dari pengajar menjadi fasilitator pembelajaran, sementara peserta didik lebih aktif dan mandiri. Namun demikian, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka masih menghadapi kendala, terutama pada kesiapan guru dalam menyusun modul ajar mandiri serta keterbatasan sarana pendukung. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa transformasi pembelajaran menuju Kurikulum Merdeka telah berjalan secara progresif, tetapi memerlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan, pelatihan guru, serta dukungan institusional agar implementasinya optimal.
