Abstract

In this research, researchers explore the teachers' strategies in teaching English during the COVID-19 pandemic at one of the Islamic secondary schools in a suburban area in Jambi. In conducting the research, researchers employed a qualitative research design with a case study method. The interview was conducted to investigate teachers' strategies during the irregular educational environment as the effect of the global pandemic. Based on the research findings, teachers often used strategies in English learning classes during the COVID-19 pandemic and utilized video as the learning media. Teachers use these strategies because it is more exciting and easier for students to understand the learning material. Teachers sometimes use several other strategies that are less efficient for online learning.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the importance of technical, managerial, and cultural competencies of religious counselors to enhance performance at the Office of Religious Affairs in Batumarmar Pamekasan. The role of counselors is crucial in effectively delivering religious teachings to a diverse audience with varying knowledge backgrounds and characteristics. This study adopts a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation from key informants, primary informants (counselors), and supporting informants (counselors). The findings indicate that implementing technical competencies among religious counselors at the Office of Religious Affairs in Batumarmar Pamekasan aims to systematically and effectively improve their performance through deep understanding of Islamic teachings, effective communication skills, and counseling abilities. Creativity in teaching methods is essential for outreach to Muslim communities in rural and urban areas. Managerial competencies encompass activity planning, event organization, and evaluation of outreach programs to assess success. Leadership supports moral guidance, time management, and technological proficiency for task efficiency. Social-cultural competencies strengthen harmonious relations with diverse communities, promote tolerance, openness, and cultural values in religious duties.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools do not only have the task of teaching religious knowledge. Apart from that, Islamic boarding schools also have an important role in giving birth to the formation of students who are independent in facing all the needs and challenges of life in the future. The independence of students in Islamic boarding schools is closely related to the parenting style of parents in the family environment. Children who are raised with a certain parenting style will have implications for independence while in the Islamic boarding school environment. One indicator of student independence is the existence of life skills in students in meeting their daily needs at the Islamic boarding school. The aim of the research is to describe the implications of parenting patterns for the formation of students' independent attitudes in Islamic boarding schools. The research was conducted qualitatively through literature study. Data collection techniques with documentation and data management with data reduction and presentation. The results of the research show: (1) people's parenting patterns have implications for the independence of students. Students who are raised with a democratic parenting style tend to adapt more easily to the Islamic boarding school environment and live independently and easily build communication and interaction with other students. (2) efforts to foster the independence of students at Islamic boarding school XXX are one of the duties of Islamic boarding school administrators and room heads/block heads. (3) to foster independence in students can be done by parents not visiting their children at the Islamic boarding school too often because this will slow down the growth of an independent attitude in the child. (4) parents need to have the courage to allow their children to fulfill their needs at the Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

Abstrak - Rujak buah sebagai makanan tradisional telah menjadi makanan global namun penjualannya masih secara tradisional dengan menggunakan gerobak keliling. Penjualan rujak buah dapat dikembangkan dengan cara lebih modern yaitu dengan vending machine rujak buah. Untuk memperdalam pemahaman mengenai salah satu model komputasi yang paling mendasar, dalam desain vending machine rujak buah akan memanfaatkan metode finite state automata model mealy machine. Dengan desain finite state automata, penelitian ini telah menghasilkan desain mesin penjaja otomatis rujak buah yang dapat menerima masukan dan pemilihan kombinasi dari beberapa jenis buah sebagai bahan rujak buah serta pemilihan bumbu sambal sesuai tingkat kepedasan yang menghasilkan keluaran sesuai yang diharapkan. Produk rujak buah yang dijual dengan mesin penjaja otomatis diharapkan meningkatkan nilai tambah berupa otomasi, pengemasan dan kehigienisan suatu produk yang dapat menarik konsumen secara luas.Indonesian fruit salad as a traditional food has become a global food but its sales are still traditionally using mobile carts. The sale of indonesian fruit salad can be developed in a more modern way by using a fruit rujak vending machine. To deepen understanding of one of the most basic computational models, in the design of fruit salad vending machines will utilize the mealy machine model finite state automata method. With the finite state automata design, this research has produced a fruit salad vending machine design that can receive input and selection of combinations of several types of fruit as fruit salad ingredients and chili seasoning selection according to spiciness level that produces the expected output. Indonesian fruit ruit salad products sold with automatic vending machines are expected to increase added value in the form of automation, packaging and hygiene of a product that can attract consumers widely.

Abstract

Generasi Z atau Gen Z merupakan generasi digital native yang telah kerap menggunakan teknologi baru seperti, internet, video gim, telepon seluler, dan semua peralatan dalam era digital. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengungkapkan proporsi intensitas penggunaan aplikasi TikTok pada siswa Tiktokers di SMA N 4 Kota Jambi dan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan aplikasi TikTok dalam membentuk kreativitas siswa Tiktokers di SMA N 4 Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan hasil wawancara yang didapatkan dari responden penelitian dan observasi di SMAN 4 Kota Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa, 1) Intensitas penggunaan aplikasi TikTok pada siswa Tiktokers di SMA N 4 Kota Jambi ditunjukkan dengan frekuensi penggunaan TikTok dalam sehari yang menunjukkan angka 2- 4 kali dengan akurasi waktu sekitar 4 jam. Intensitas penggunaan aplikasi TikTok yang semakin tinggi tergantung pada waktu luang yang dimiliki siswa. Dengan frekuensi dan durasi yang tinggi ini, siswa umumnya mengamati berbagai konten TikTok dan menciptakan video kreatif berdasarkan konten yang tersebar luas di aplikasi TikTok yang telah diamati tersebut. 2) Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan aplikasi tiktok dalam membentuk kreativitas siswa TikTokers di SMA N 4 Kota Jambi berkontribusi signifikan dalam mendukung kelancaran ide, fleksibilitas dalam pemecahan masalah dibidang Pendidikan, hobi dan hiburan, sebagai sumber inspirasi untuk menciptakan konten baru yang unik dan kreatif, penguraian ide dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur TikTok, dan perumusan kembali konten menjadi konten menarik yang sesuai dengan minat, ciri khas, dan tren yang sedang berkembang. TikTok bukan hanya platform untuk berbagi video tetapi juga alat yang efektif untuk memfasilitasi berbagai aspek kreativitas dan pembelajaran siswa, baik dalam konteks akademis maupun non-akademis.

Abstract

Heavy metal contamination is one of the problems in pharmaceutical products. Carbon dots are a practical and economical method of heavy metal detection to reduce heavy metal contamination in pharmaceutical products. Carbon dots have been successfully synthesized by microwave irradiation from sugar table doped with urea fertilizer (CD-GU) and citric acid doped with urea fertilizer (CD-AU). The success of the synthesis of carbon dots can be seen from their properties that produce a blue to green luminescence when excited with a 405 nm laser and an orange to red luminescence when excited with a 532 nm laser. When excited with a 405 nm laser, CD-GU produces a strong light blue luminescence, while CD-AU produces a strong green luminescence. CD-GU and CD-AU also exhibit orange luminescence when excited with a 532 nm laser. The intensity of luminescence of carbon dots will decrease when interacting with heavy metals so that it can be applied for heavy metal detection. The results of this study revealed that CD-GU and CD-AU can be used to detect heavy metals.

Abstract

RIDA Framework yang dikembangkan oleh CrescentRating merupakan sebuah jawaban atas terhadap tantangan-tantangan yang berkembang tentang bagaiman muslim travel dengan mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip inti pariwisata yang bertanggung jawab dengan kemajuan teknologi terbaru untuk mempersiapkan Traveler di masa depan. Tren wisata halal yang berkembang menjadikan China atau Tiongkok sebagai negara tujuan wisata terutama bagi pelancong dari Malaysia dan Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi persepsi pelancong atau muslim traveler dalam memilih China sebagai tujuan wisata dengan pendekatan RIDA Framework. Sampel penelitian menggunakan accidental sampling yaitu dengan melakukan deep interview kepada responden yang akan melakukan perjalanan ke China. Data yang didapat berasal dari agen perjalanan yang ada di Jakarta dan Bandung serta Traveler Muslim di Guangzhou dan Yunnan, China. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa muslim traveler memilih China atau Tiongkok karena budaya yang dimiliki negara ini sangatlah kental. Kultur masyarakat yang sangat menjunjung adat, istiadat serta budaya turun temurun dari nenek moyang masih sangat terjaga dengan baik. Berdasarkan RIDA (Responsible, Immersive, Digital dan Assured) Framework, pemerintah China sangat mengedepankan wisata budaya yang akan dimiliki oleh para pelancong. Selain itu digitalisasi serta keamanan di China sangatlah baik, para pelancong disuguhi kemudahan (seperti cashless) yang memudahkan pelancong dalam bertransaksi, kemudahan transportasi serta informasi destinasi yang sangat lengkap. Selain itu juga keamanan yang dijamin oleh Pemerintah Tiongkok dengan banyaknya CCTV di setiap jalanan di China.

Abstract

Of the many sections managed in the Bengkuluekspress.com online media, one of them is the Cases and Events section. This rubric contains news about events, laws and crimes in Bengkulu Province. The purpose of this research is to find out how News Production Management in the Case and Crime Rubric of Bengkuluekspress.com Online Media is able to survive and compete with other local news portals. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, by collecting data in the form of interviews with the leadership and editorial team of Bengkuluekspress.com and making direct observations to the field. This research uses the theory of the application of 4 management functions known as POAC, namely planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The results shown in this study show that Bengkuluekspress.com has implemented the POAC management function, but not maximally. In planning news production, a projection meeting has been held or determining the news to be published, but it is not consistent. In the application of management functions in organizing and mobilizing, the number of employees is limited, especially journalists filling the legal and criminal sections and editors who specifically handle these sections. Thus, Bengkuluekspress.com needs to add personnel or human resources in order to improve performance effectiveness and improve the quality of reporting. Then, based on the findings of data analysis, it can be concluded that News Production Management in the Case and Event Rubric of Bengkuluekspress.com is basically the same as news production management in other rubrics. There is only a slight difference for news events that cannot be planned for coverage. The news production planning process has been running quite well through editorial meetings to organize, calculate, prepare and formulate the implementation of activities.

Abstract

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a mobile video game with the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre developed and published by Moonton, a subsidiary of Byte Dance. Released in 2016, this game is increasingly popular throughout the world, especially in the Southeast Asia region. This research was motivated by the influence of playing the mobile legends game: Bang Bang on violent behavior. This research aims to determine the effect of playing mobile legends: bang bang on violent behavior among RW boarding school children in Muara Bangka Hulu District, Bengkulu Province. The type of research used is quantitative methods. The data analysis method used is hypothesis testing. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence between playing online games which has a significant influence on violent behavior in the mobile legends game: bang bang. This is proven by the results of the f test showing that the f-count value is greater than the f-table (13.576> 3.26) with a significance level of (0.001 < 0.05.

Abstract

A virtual laboratory is one of the innovative solutions in physics learning, especially to overcome the limitations of space, time, and conventional practical tools. This study aims to analyse the effect of elevation angle on the characteristics of parabolic motion, namely the highest point, farthest range, and maximum travel time. The research method used is a simulation-based quantitative experiment using the PhET Projectile Motion platform. The simulation was conducted with a fixed initial velocity of 10 m/s at three elevation angle variations: 30°, 45°, and 60°, with each angle tested 15 times. Results show that the elevation angle significantly affects all observed variables. The maximum height was reached at an angle of 60°, the furthest horizontal reach was obtained at an angle of 45°, and the longest time to peak occurred at an angle of 60°. However, the relationship between elevation angle and parabolic motion outcomes was not linear. These findings strengthen the theoretical understanding of bullet motion and show that virtual simulation can be a valid and effective alternative medium for the exploration of physics concepts. The integration of virtual laboratories such as PhET into the learning process is recommended to improve the quality of students' understanding of two-dimensional motion phenomena.
