Abstract

The implementation of value and spiritual education in guidance and counseling services is the aboligation of schools. It has implications for the nature of individual guidance and counseling to help individuals for develop human nature by empowering faith, reason, dan willingness who has given by God so that individuals can develop properly and firmly as God guides. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach and data collected by interview, observation and documentation. Findings data were analyzed using conten analysis techneques. The informan are theachers, students, and parent of students.The result of this study founded, 1) education of values and spirituality in SMP Negeri 1 Bantul is not only become the responsibility of the guidance dan counseling teacher, it is was includes within thes school curriculum structure that described in each subject as a hidden curriculum. 2) The values and spiritual education of students is very dependent on education in their family. 3) There isa good tolerance between Muslim dan non-Muslim students during implementation of classroom learning. 4) School appreciation and support in organizing religious activities for Muslim dan non-Muslim students. 5) The school cooperates with other parties (in collaboration with one of the churches) to provide religious education for non-Muslim students.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of font type, font size, line spacing and text background colour on visual search of “a predetermined word”. The study used a multifactorial experiment with four factors and 48 combinations. A number of 20 female undergraduate students participated in this study and their response time for each treatment combination was recorded. Anova test results showed that there were significant effect of font type (F=2.72, p=0.042) and font size (F=8.14, p=0.004) to the response time of subject. Further analysis using ANOM chart showed that verdana for font type and 12 pt for font size provide the fastest response time. Results of this study could be used by web designers for the production of web pages so that it will optimize interaction with the users.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an application which can be used to measure the response time needed by subjects to find a set of predetermined “words” in order to determine the level of readability of smartphone screen. The development steps began with concept development, interface design and software testing and verification. The results of this study is a software which can be used for typography experiment in which the subject is asked to find a predetermined word. The software could be used for the experiment of 4 typography factors i.e font style (FS), font size (FZ), contrast (CT), and screen rotation (SR). This software could be used for the 5x3x2x2 factorial experiment with 60 combinations. The response time of subject for each treatment combination has been computed and saved in the smartphone. Finally, the response time could be used to determine the best combination of factor and level factor for readability of smartphone screen.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the utilization of the worker’s time in the filling process, packaging department, a cup and bottled water company. Considering the aim of the study and the task characteristics, work sampling technique was used. Two production lines and two work stations were selected for time studyanalysis. In each work station, two workers with different tasks were involved for the time analysis. A number 586 and 1710 observations from Worker 1 in Line 1 and Line 2, and 586 and 1440 observations from Worker 2 in Line 1 and Line 2 were taken and observed. Results showed that the utilization of worker’s time are 31.7% and 33.6 % of Worker 1 in Line 1 and Line 2, and 25.6% and 21.0% of Worker 2 in Line 1 and Line 2. Results of significant testing showed that no significant differences were found for workers’ time utilization between Worker 1 in Line 1 and Worker 1 in Line 2 (Z=-0.82, p=0.41) and between Worker 2 in Line 1 and Worker 2 in Line 2 (Z=2.17, p=0.03) for α=0.01. Regarding findings in this study, it is reasonable for the management to consider work station which one worker per machine instead of two workers per one machine.

Abstract

This paper presents a preliminary review of dimensions school furniture which was issued by National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (NSAI) through SNI 7555.4.2009 and SNI 7555.19.2011. The dimensions of seat height of chair and desk height of desk were assessed by using students’ anthropometry i.e. popliteal height and elbow rest height. Anthropometric data of 64 elementary school students of grade 1 were taken. Results showed that 97.1% boys and 96.7% girls did not match with lower level of seat height. Meanwhile, none of students in Grade 1 matched with the higher level of seat height. Similarly, 100% mismatch was found for desk height either for lower or upper level. This findings could lead to a broader study involving more samples, age group and geographical areas.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan salah satu penyakit metabolik yang ditandai oleh hiperglikemia akibat kelainan dalam sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, atau keduanya. Kelompok etiologis DM terbagi menjadi empat tipe, yakni DM Tipe 1, DM Tipe 2, DM Tipe lain, dan DM gestasional. Prevalensi DM, terutama Tipe 2, terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun, menjadi tantangan bagi tenaga kesehatan dalam menemukan solusi untuk menurunkan angka penderita dan biaya pengobatan. Banyak penelitian menyoroti potensi daun insulin (Smallanthus sonchifolius) dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah. Namun, kebanyakan penelitian menggunakan ekstrak, yang mungkin tidak dikuasai oleh masyarakat umum. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini ingin menguji keefektifan daun insulin yang dikeringkan sebagai teh, diharapan dapat memberikan alternatif pengobatan yang lebih mudah diakses bagi penderita DM Tipe 2. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektitas Daun insulin dalam penurunan Gula darah puasa pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe menemukan pengobatan komplementer untuk penderita diabetes melitus dan menemukan altenatif pengolahan herbal untuk penderita diabetes mellitus Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan observasional untuk mengetahui efektivitas teh daun insulin pada penderita DM tipe 2. Sampel akan terdiri dari penderita DM Tipe 2 yang akan diberikan teh daun insulin secara teratur selama periode tertentu. Pengumpulan data akan mencakup pengukuran awal dan lanjutan kadar gula darah, serta pemantauan efek samping dan perubahan dalam gejala DM. Analisis statistik akan digunakan untuk mengevaluasi perubahan kadar gula darah sebelum dan sesudah intervensi teh daun insulin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok perlakuan mengalami penurunan rerata kadar gula darah dari 157,80 mg/dL menjadi 140,60 mg/dL setelah 14 hari, meskipun hasil uji T-test tidak menunjukkan signifikansi statistik. Sebaliknya, kelompok kontrol mengalami kenaikan rerata kadar gula darah dari 200,20 mg/dL menjadi 214,60 mg/dL. Meskipun hasil statistik tidak signifikan, secara klinis, pasien yang mengonsumsi teh daun insulin melaporkan perbaikan gejala klasik diabetes seperti frekuensi buang air kecil dan rasa haus yang berkurang serta peningkatan energi dan penurunan keluhan neuropati. Penurunan kadar gula darah pada kelompok perlakuan diduga disebabkan oleh efek hipoglikemik daun insulin.

Abstract

In the Qur'an, knowledge is seen as something special that makes humans superior to other creatures. The importance of instilling religious and spiritual values ​​in general learning is to increase faith and piety to God Almighty in respecting the universe. The research aims to see how the integration of the Qur'an is implemented in the teaching and learning process, in which the Qur'an is science based on revelation, the hadith of the prophet, and the ijtihad of the scholars, while general science is based on human reasoning based on empirical data, through research. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological research type. In this study, the sampling technique used was snowball and purposive. The procedures and techniques used in collecting data in this study are qualitative: observation, FGD, and documentation. The stages of this study presented three stages, namely 1) the pre-field stage, 2) the fieldwork stage, and 3) the data analysis stage. The result of the research is that integrating the Al-Qur'an in the teaching and learning process can be applied well, with efforts to provide training related to the integration of the Al-Qur'an. Implementing Al-Qur'an integration is carried out by internalizing Al-Qur'an values ​​through studies in learning that can be carried out with curriculum integration, learning integration, and integration of Islamization of science.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan beban kerja terhadap intention to stay yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. Sinar Jaya Megah Langgeng. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh karyawan perusahaan berjumlah 103 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner berupa google form. Penelitian ini menggunakan program statistik SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan beban kerja positif dalam mempengaruhi intention to stay. Kepuasan kerja positif dalam mempengaruhi intention to stay dan memediasi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan beban kerja dengan hasil yang positif terhadap intention to stay. This study aims to determine how the influence of leadership style and workload on intention to stay which is mediated by job satisfaction of employees of PT. Sinar Jaya Majestic Lasting. The population in the study were all company employees totaling 103 people. Collecting data using a questionnaire in the form of google form. This study uses the SmartPLS statistical program. The results showed that transformational leadership style and workload positively influenced intention to stay. Job satisfaction is positive in influencing intention to stay and mediating transformational leadership style and workload with positive outcomes towards intention to stay.
