Abstract

This research aims to examine the effective communication practices employed by facilitators of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in delivering Family Capacity Building Meetings (P2K2) to Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Kandang Mas Village, Bengkulu City. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study applies the communication effectiveness model by Cutlip and Allen, which includes seven key indicators: Credibility, Context, Content, Clarity, Continuity and Consistency, Communication Channels, and Audience Capability.Findings reveal that communication is effective across all seven indicators. The facilitators' credibility is supported by formal recognition from the Ministry of Social Affairs and emotional bonds with the KPM. The communication context is enhanced through inclusive atmospheres, appropriate teaching media, and flexible scheduling. The content is delivered using official modules in simple language and practical examples. Clarity is achieved via structured messaging, while consistency is maintained through repeated but varied messages. Communication channels include a blend of digital tools like WhatsApp and face-to-face interactions. The facilitators also tailor their approach based on the educational and social background of the KPM, ensuring comprehension and active participation. Ultimately, P2K2 activities have succeeded in raising awareness, improving knowledge and skills, and encouraging behavioral change among KPM. This study underscores the critical role of tailored, multi-dimensional communication strategies in optimizing the impact of social programs like PKH.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology in Indonesia have driven significant transformation in the financial sector, one of which is through financial technology (fintech). This study aims to explore the role of fintech in supporting the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the coastal area of Bengkulu City. The research uses a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The theory used is the public relations role theory by Cutlip, Center, and Broom (2006), which includes public opinion evaluation, organizational policy identification, and public relations activity planning. The results of the study indicate that fintech provides various benefits, such as ease of access to financial services, efficiency in financial management, and increased competitiveness of MSMEs. Solutions such as digital wallets, QR code-based payments, and microfinance help business actors overcome limitations in access to conventional banking. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, limited access to technology, high transaction costs, and inadequate internet infrastructure remain major obstacles.

The research findings reveal that electronic money usage has no significant effect on consumption behavior. In contrast, materialism, social media intensity, and attitudes toward social media content had a significant beneficial effect on student consumption behavior. These results emphasize the importance of money management skill and financial inclusion strategies in shaping healthy consumption patterns and supporting sustainable development.

Abstract

Abstract

The involvement of community service (KKN) students from Universitas Dehasen (UNIVED) in supporting the local government's policy in Pematang Gubernur Sub-district regarding environmental cleanliness programs through the installation of cleanliness signage. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Informants included KKN students, local government officials, and community members. The findings reveal that student involvement extended beyond technical tasks such as signage installation to include planning, community education, and persuasive dissemination of cleanliness messages. The installation of signage proved to have a positive impact by increasing public awareness to avoid littering and fostering collective behavior in maintaining a clean environment. Supporting factors for the program's success included active community participation, strategic placement of the signage, and the humanistic communication approach used by the students. This study concludes that collaboration between students, local government, and the community can create constructive social change in community-based environmental management. Similar programs are recommended for continued development with sustained support from multiple stake holders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of group communication in enhancing the cohesiveness of the Futsal Valupi Dehasen Bengkulu team. Established in 2023, this university-based futsal team has achieved outstanding performance in various local, regional, and national tournaments. Behind these accomplishments lies a set of internal dynamics, particularly the challenge of maintaining unity among team members with diverse backgrounds and personalities. In this context, group communication plays a crucial role in fostering synergy and effective teamwork, both through verbal and non-verbal means. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving coaches and players. The study is grounded in Aubrey Fisher’s task group communication theory, which outlines four key stages of group communication: orientation, conflict, emergence, and reinforcement. The findings reveal that in the orientation stage, a familial approach and informal communication are key to building trust and aligning team vision. The conflict stage naturally arises from differing perspectives but is constructively managed through open dialogue, routine evaluations, and strong leadership from the coach and team captain. During the emergence stage, players begin to demonstrate emotional maturity, identify shared values, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the team. In the reinforcement stage, communication becomes more open, supportive, and trust-based, which plays a significant role in maintaining teamwork and team spirit. Overall, this study highlights that effective and dynamic group communication is central to forming a solid, harmonious, and competitive futsal team. The results are expected to contribute both theoretically and practically to the development of team management strategies in sports, particularly in designing communication models that support overall team performance
