Abstract

Rosella commodity prices, in the range of 15,000 to 30,000, are still relatively low and unstable. Therefore, it is a factor of low motivation in rosella farming. On the other hand, rosella as an annual crop with one big harvest certainly has an impact on farmers' income. The research approach used is a quantitative approach. In this study, livelihood strategies are based on asset characteristics that can be accessed by farmers using 43 respondents and livelihood vulnerability index (LVI) analysis and descriptive analysis. Based on the findings, it showed that the characteristics of the asset that is the lowest accessed and the highest level of vulnerability by rosella farmers is social Asset due to the dependence on meeting their daily needs from government assistance. The results of the study showed that the consolidation strategy was the most appropriate strategy in the context of sustainable livelihoods for rosella farmers through the use of yards to raise cattle or goats. The choice of strategy is based on the lack of access to social Asset for farmers' livelihoods. Where, by raising livestock, farmers can earn additional income outside of rosella farming.

The existence of congestion at the port so that the ship is docked outside the customs area with certain conditions. The need for coordination and thoroughness in processing loading and unloading permits outside the customs area so that all implementations are carried out properly. The task of PT Bahari Eka Nusantara Belawan Branch in licensing loading and unloading outside the customs area is very important because through PT Bahari Eka Nusantara Belawan Branch is the party responsible for the ship that will dock outside the customs area that it agents. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that there are still obstacles caused by a lack of understanding in the Sibela system input procedure. The late submission of loading and unloading permits outside the customs area is an obstacle to the delay in approval of loading and unloading permits for foreign ships outside the customs area.

Abstract

African leaf (vernonia amygdalina) is a plant that has many benefits. The flavonoid content in it has been proven to help inhibit bacterial growth. African leaves that have been extracted thickly are formulated into a Peel off gel mask with a concentration of 6%. 3 Peel off gel mask preparation formulas, namely F1 (PVA 11%), F2 (PVA 13%), F3 (PVA 15%). The resulting masks were evaluated for physical properties including organoleptic tests, pH tests, spreadability tests, homogeneity tests, and drying time tests. The physical properties test of the peel off mask has met mask standards. The organoleptic test showed no signs of physical changes in the preparation after it was formulated into a mask. No fine grains were found in the homogeneity test of the preparation, in the spreadability test it still did not reach the standard due to the increase in base concentration in formulas 2 and 3. The average spreadability test result was 3.125 cm. For the test, the drying time for formulas 1, 2 and 3 was 24, 22, 21 minutes. These results have shown that the preparation meets the standards for drying preparations and is in accordance with the skin pH standard, namely 4.5-6.5.

Abstract

The food service industry faces challenges in maintaining operational efficiency, quality consistency, and cost control on a large scale. The cook and chill system is an innovation that offers solutions through food processing, rapid chilling, storage, and regeneration before serving. This study aims to analyse the implementation of cook and chill in the ISMAYA Group's central kitchen as a strategy to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. The research method uses a case study approach by combining secondary data from academic literature and primary data from field observations and interviews with operational managers. The results show that cook and chill can improve preparation time efficiency at outlets, reduce labour costs, and enhance consistency in taste and food presentation. The main challenges include high initial investment for equipment and the ongoing need for human resource training. Practical implications of this research include the need for change management strategies, the use of IoT-based temperature monitoring technology, and optimization of eco-friendly logistics. This study concludes that cook and chill is not only a technical strategy but also a managerial tool relevant to addressing the dynamics of the modern restaurant industry in Indonesia.
