This study aims to identify and describe the mathematical literacy skills of fifth grade elementary school students. This study was conducted in one of the primary school in Pekanbaru from January to March 2020. The type of research used was a case study. The subject of this research was 37 fifth grade elementary school students. The instrument was arranged referring to the questions issued by PISA. After the instrument were validated by two experts and tested on students, the next step was used to retrieve data. The data collected is then grouped and categorized according to the device that has been created. The results of the data processing showed that most of the subjects had not been able to answer the questions at level 4 or above, while for the answered level it was broken down as follows; the mathematical literacy achievement of fifth grade elementary school students that reached level 1 were 38%, in level 2 there were 54%, and in level 3 there were 8%. From these data results, it appears that in general the fifth-grade elementary school students have a very low level in mathematical literacy skills, meaning that the learning technique they have gained so far has not been able to build mathematical literacy skills.

In understanding the concept ofstudents' average heat energy increased from the average base score of 64.91 to76.22. In understanding the concept of average student sound energy from thebasic score to 81.72. The increase of learning result can be seen from theaverage of N-Gain on the understanding of the concept of heat energy of 0.32medium categories and on the understanding of energy concept of 0.47 mediumcategories. This study concluded that the application of inquiry learning modelcan improve science learning outcomes based on reflection by prospectiveteachers.

The research aims to determine the discipline of students through scouting. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population used in this study were 81 Scouting students. Sampling using a saturated sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were scouting questionnaires. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis techniques, namely using the correlation test, significance test and test coefficient of determination. Based on the results of data processing it can be seen that student discipline is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 66.67% and scouting is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 66.67%. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis it is known that the discipline of students through scouting is 0.398. Based on the results of significant tests obtained t-test value of 3.853. Then based on the test results of the determinant coefficient, there is the influence of the contribution among variables at 15.8%. This means that there is a scouting contribution of 15.8% towards student discipline, while 84.2% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

The background of this research is that there are several symptoms in the process of learning mathematics, namely: 1) passive / inactive students are characterized by the absence of questions after the teacher explains. 2) the number of noisy students is seen from the number of students who walk to see the assignment exercises given by the teacher. 3) the number of students who do not understand and understand is seen from the number of students who repeatedly ask when given practice. This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve student mathematics learning outcomes by applying problem-based learning models. This research was conducted in class V SDN 30 Pekanbaru. Data collection instruments in this thesis are teacher and student activity sheets and student learning outcomes assessment sheets. This thesis presents preliminary data before applying the problem-based learning model (PBM) which is 79.17 and increased to 83.04 in the first cycle and increased again to 92.60. Teacher activity also increased at each meeting, namely 65% with a good category in the first cycle the first meeting increased to 70% with a good category. In the second cycle also increased to 90% with a very good category at the first meeting and increased to 95% with a very good category at the second meeting. In the results of this study student learning outcomes have increased after applying the problem-based learning model (PBM) marked by an increase in teacher and student activities in each cycle. The results of this study prove that the problem-based learning model can improve mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 30 Pekanbaru.

This article was written based on qualitative research on students' motivation in participating in Boy Scout exercises. This article aims to describe the motivation of students in one integrated Islamic elementary school in Pekanbaru to take part in a scout-raising(penggalang) exercise. The sample in this study were 17 students raising, consisting of 9 men and 8 women. Data was collected using direct interviews with students and documentation in the form of program documents, reports and photos of activities. Held in the even semester term 2019/2020. From the results of data processing it was found that in following the Scouting activities students were influenced by several intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors are first the need to be accepted and respected, secondly the hope to develop abilities, and thirdly the interests associated with socialization. Next extrinsic factor is the first family, because of the family background of a member of the scout, the second environment, the environment of friendship students become one of the students' encouragement to participate in scout activities, Thirdly the rewards, these rewards are also a bit of one of the reasons children participate in scouting activities , because of the award given by the school to students who excel in scouting activities, triggers the emergence of student motivation. With these results, it is hoped that advanced scout activities will need to consider these three factors.

Validation was carried out by two validators, namely, material experts and media experts. The validation results from the two validators show that the pop up book learning media for social studies learning has an overall average percentage of 80% that meets the "valid" criteria. Practicality was assessed by teachers and students and obtained the percentage of results of 95% and 92.2%, respectively, with those meeting the criteria of "very practical". So, the pop up book learning media for social studies learning can be used by students in elementary schools.Key Words: Instructional Media, Pop Up Book, IPS Learning
