Abstract

This qualitative study examines the achievement of eight national education standards among state secondary schools in Medan. Data collection involved observation, documentation, and interviews with relevant informants. The research found that there were no significant differences between public and private schools in terms of content and process standards, with both meeting the required standards. However, differences were observed in graduate competency standards, educator and education personnel standards, facilities and infrastructure standards, asset management standards, lighting standards, and assessment standards. Specifically, graduate competency standards differed in terms of the specific characteristics of graduates, while educator and education personnel standards were primarily under the authority of the school principal. Facilities and infrastructure standards included procedures for acquisition, asset management standards were more flexible, lighting standards focused on the source of lighting, and assessment standards were well accommodated. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the achievement of national education standards among state secondary schools in Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate a clinical supervision implementation model of the PEDAGOSUP-based clinical supervision model in improving the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers at the Santa Lusia Virgini Foundation, Pematangsiantar, with a focus on the model developed meeting the standards of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness for use. The type of research used in this study is R&D (Research and Development). Model development refers to the ADDIE research and development model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The subjects of this study were 50 elementary school teachers at the Santa Lusia Virgini Foundation, Pematangsiantar. The research location was carried out in 3 elementary school units under the auspices of the Santa Lusia Virgini Foundation, Pematangsiantar, namely Santa Lusia Sei Rotan Elementary School, Santa Lusia Siborongborong Elementary School, and Santa Maria Dolok Sanggul Elementary School. The result show that the supervision program has increased the pedagogical competence of teachers in cycles I, II, and III by 37.50%; 62.50%; and 100.00%, respectively. That implementation of clinical supervision is effective and can improve the pedagogical competence of teachers at the Santa Lusia Virgini Foundation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran somatic auditory visualization intellectualy dan visualization auditory kinesthetic untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh yang lebih tinggi dari model pembelajaran Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectualy (SAVI) dan Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV materi bagaimana wujud benda berubah di SD Swasta Al-Ulum Medan T.A 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang berbentuk quasy experiment (eksperimen semu). Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 49 siswa dengan 26 siswa dari kelas IV-A dan 23 siswa dari kelas IV-C. kelas IV-A ialah kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectualy dan kelas IV-C sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic. Teknik pengumpulan data pada pada penelitian ini berupa tes. Nilai rata-rata pretest pada kelas eksperimen adalah 32,05 dan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 66,67 sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen nilai pretest 37,25 dan rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 77,39. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model pembelajaran somatic auditory visualization intellectualy dan visualization auditory kinesthetic berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji t-test, di dapat hasil nilai Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,014 dimana 0,014 < 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar IPAS siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran visualization auditory kinesthetic lebih tinggi atau lebih unggul dari pada menggunakan model pembelajaran somatic auditory visualization intellectualy pada kelas IV SD Swasta Al-Ulum Medan T.A 2024/2025.

Abstract

Idealism in education is an approach that emphasizes the holistic development of individual potential, encompassing intellectual, moral, and social aspects. STAI Raudhatul Akmal, as a private institution, envisions producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also possess integrity and the ability to face societal challenges. This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of idealistic educational principles in the curriculum and learning practices at STAI Raudhatul Akmal. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that integrating idealistic values is evident in teaching, where lecturers act as facilitators, encouraging students to think critically and creatively.Additionally, extracurricular activities based on ethical and moral values shape student character. This research recommends enhanced training for lecturers and developing more structured programs to ensure that idealism values can be internalized more effectively. Thus, it is hoped that graduates of STAI Raudhatul Akmal can become positive agents of change in society, which aligns with the goals of idealism education.

Abstract

The background to research at SDN 122349 Pematang Siantar found several problems, namely 1) The teacher only relied on textbooks as a learning resource, 2) Students quickly felt bored in teaching and learning activities using the lecture method, so this became one of the learning factors become less effective and learning outcomes are less than optimal, 3) Science learning outcomes of students in class IV A are still in the low category, 4) Teachers still do not maximize the quality of learning by using various learning resources in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out 1) The effectiveness of using the school environment as a learning resource on learning outcomes in Science Theme 6 Sub-theme 1 Learning 1 in Class IV A SDN 122349 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. 2) Student science learning outcomes in Theme 6 Sub-theme 1 Learning 1 in class IV A SDN 122349 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. This type of research is correlational research. The subjects in this study were 28 students in class IV A. The research instrument used was multiple choice tests and learning observation sheets. The percentage results show that 1) The results obtained increased from the pre-test value of 14% to 100%. It can be concluded that by utilizing the school environment as a learning resource it can improve learning outcomes Science Theme 6 Sub-theme 1 Learning 1 Class IV SDN 122349 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. 2) From the calculation of the t test obtained tcount = 4.65 and ttable = 2.056. So it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

Perbedaan Hasil Belajar IPAS Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan Model Inquiry Learning di Kelas IV SD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPAS antara penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Inquiry Learning di kelas IV SD. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV-A dan IV-B SDN 040450 Kabanjahe dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 20 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji persyarat analisis uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar IPAS siswa yang diajarkan dengan model Discovery Learning dan model Inquiry Learning yang dapat dilihat dari hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai thitung > ttabel (2,2563 > 2,204).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of facilities and infrastructure in primary schools in supporting optimal learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of semi-structured interviews, field observations and documentation. The results show that although basic facilities, such as tables, chairs and stationery, are available in adequate conditions, some obstacles remain, such as the limitations of infocus and other technological devices. Teachers creatively overcome these limitations with alternative ways of teaching. This result confirms the importance of sustainable facility management and support from external stakeholders to improve the quality of education. Recommendations include increasing the availability of supporting technology and routine maintenance of facilities to support more effective and interactive learning.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information on whether or not there is a determinant of the learning model Snowball Throwing on the resultant learning of IPAS class IV UPT.SD Negeri 01 Seisimujur students. This type of research is quantitative. The location of this research was at UPT.SD Negeri 01 Seisimujur. The implementation time of this research was carried out in the 2023/2024 school year. The population for this study was the entire class IV UPT.SD Negeri 01 Seisimujur. The sample in this study amounted to 62 students composed of class IVA being the experimental class with 31 students and class IVB being the control class with 31 students. In the resultant analysis, the resultant data of students' IPAS learning obtained the average (mean) after treatment for the experimental class through the Snowball Throwing learning model was a pretest score of 55.34 and a posttest of 66.94. While students in the control class using the conventional learning model obtained a mean pretest score of 40.81 and a posttest of 50.65. So the group of students who received the Snowball Throwing learning model treatment had a higher mean score when compared to without using the Snowball Throwing learning model.
