Abstract

This article aims to examine how impression management through school achievement of SDN Kemakmuran 1 Songgom Brebes: a dramaturgical study of branding educational institutions in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with interview data collection techniques with the principal, teachers and students, as well as direct observation of the learning process and study documentation. This study attempts to examine the dramaturgical theory of impression management through school achievement of SDN Kemakmuran 1 Songgom Brebes towards branding educational institutions in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that the impression management of SDN Kemakmuran 1 through its achievements towards branding educational institutions in Indonesia is by collaborating with various parties both internally and externally and establishing a wide communication channel. In addition, there are several supporting factors and inhibiting factors but do not reduce school achievement.

Abstract

In the context of post-pandemic learning recovery, the Ministry of Education and Culture has officially implemented the latest curriculum entitled independent learning which will begin to be implemented in the 2022/2023 academic year in all educational units independently. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning at MTs MINAT Kesugihan as well as the positive impacts and obstacles in implementing the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning at MTs MINAT Kesugihan. This research applies a qualitative phenomenological approach to the field study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and document study. The research results show that the independent curriculum implementation process is broken down into three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The positive impacts of implementing the independent curriculum on Islamic Religious Education learning include increasing teacher and student creativity, increasing student enthusiasm and activeness in learning, and increasing teacher enthusiasm in developing their own capacity. The obstacle in implementing the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning is the difficulty of educators in creating fun and quality learning and determining the right themes and content for P5 activities to suit students' interests and talents.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the management of the juz amma program to improve students' Al-Qur'an reading skills at the Serayukaranganyar 1 Public Elementary School, Purbalingga. In this research, the qualitative method used is a case study type. The data collection procedure was carried out using the observation method, namely observation, interviews, namely a collection method using oral questions and answers with sources, and the documentation method, namely searching for data regarding something related to the research. The research results obtained are: This research examines the effectiveness of the Juz Amma program at the Serayukaranganyar 1 State Elementary School in improving students' ability to read and memorize the Al-Qur'an. The research results showed that this program was successful in increasing students' fluency in reading the Al-Qur'an by adhering to the rules of tajwid and tartil. This program includes the activity of reading one verse in turn, listening and copying the teacher's reading in turns, as well as providing opportunities for students to ask questions. Program management includes systematic preparation, implementation and supervision, with the active role of school principals, teachers and parents. The evaluation program is carried out periodically through daily notes, mid-semester assessments and end-of-semester assessments, ensuring that students' memorization targets and quality are achieved. Supporting factors for the program include student enthusiasm and parental support, while inhibiting factors include student concerns about memorization targets and differences in student abilities. This program received a positive response from the community and parents, and succeeded in improving students' ability to read and memorize the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Inter-religious conflicts remain prevalent in Indonesia, with a notable increase in active intolerance among youth from 2016 to 2023. These tensions highlight the urgent need to cultivate religious tolerance as a foundation for fostering a harmonious, peaceful, and inclusive society. This study aims to analyze the role of SMP Negeri 1 Sumpiuh in promoting tolerance among its students. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observations and interviews with nine informants. Observations focused on student interactions within the school environment, while interviews explored perspectives related to the cultivation of tolerance. Data analysis involved four stages: data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the school plays a significant role in embedding religious tolerance through the leadership of the principal, the role of teachers, applied learning methods, and the availability of supportive school facilities. The principal plays a key role in fostering a tolerant and harmonious school climate. Teachers serve as role models, implementers of tolerance-based character education, and act as surrogate parents within the school setting. The development of students' tolerance is primarily achieved through habitual practices and exemplary behavior. Additionally, facilities that support religious activities and structured routines contribute to a conducive and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

Fenomena melemahnya literasi Al-Qur’an pada remaja akibat gempuran budaya digital menjadi perhatian penting dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Program Al-Qur’an Ten Minute di SMK Ma’arif 5 Gombong hadir sebagai ikhtiar terstruktur untuk menumbuhkan kebiasaan membaca Al-Qur’an secara konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan praktik program, menganalisis tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa berdasarkan teori Jean Piaget, serta menelaah proses asimilasi dan akomodasi yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, guru pengampu, dan peserta didik. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada tahap operasional formal, dengan kemampuan berpikir abstrak, sistematis, dan logis, sedangkan sebagian lainnya masih memerlukan bantuan visual sesuai karakteristik tahap operasional konkret. Program Al-Qur’an Ten Minute terbukti membantu siswa meningkatkan kelancaran membaca, memperkuat kebiasaan interaksi dengan Al-Qur’an, serta membangun kepercayaan diri dalam membaca dan menghafal. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembiasaan singkat namun intensif dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi Al-Qur’an di sekolah menengah

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the family and school environment, as well as a combination of both, on student learning motivation at MI Muhammadiyah Pasirmuncang. Learning motivation, as a key factor in student success (Nurrawi et al., 2023), is influenced by the family environment which shapes character and learning habits (Hikmah & Saputra, 2023), as well as the school environment which provides a forum for developing potential and directed learning. This study used a quantitative explanatory research approach (Sugiyono, 2017) with 30 grade 5 students as subjects. The results of the analysis show a significant influence of the school environment on student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects, with a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.570 and a determinant coefficient of 32.48%. The regression significance test (tcount = 4.704 > t0.025 = 2.01) strengthens the significance of this effect. A good family environment (average TCR 70.17%) and high learning motivation (average TCR 73.45%) are positively correlated with learning outcomes. Simultaneously, family environment and learning motivation contribute 11.40% to learning outcomes, while the rest is influenced by other factors. This finding is in line with research by Husnan Jamil (2014) and concludes that a positive school and family environment, as well as high learning motivation, are very important to achieve optimal learning outcomes in PAI learning at MI Muhammadiyah Pasirmuncang.

Abstract

This research begins with an awareness of strategic management, which presents various beneficial and successful approaches to enhancing the quality and standards of performance in for-profit institutions by demonstrating competitive advantages. Therefore, it is hoped that this writing can serve as a subject of study for educational institutions in the process of improving educational quality by implementing strategic management concepts within their organizations. The method employed in this research is qualitative, utilizing a library research approach. The data serving as instruments in this study consist of various information gathered from books, journals, and articles from previous research, employing documentation as the data collection technique and content analysis for data analysis. The findings of this research indicate that the role of educational institution leaders is crucial in formulating strategies for improving the quality and standards of educational institutions. The implementation of strategic human resource management is highly necessary to enhance student achievement through the teaching and strategies employed by educators in their learning practices. Strategic evaluation is conducted by educational institution stakeholders, acting as educational human resources, by analyzing the capabilities, potential, weaknesses, and risks of existing environmental resources. Consequently, this research not only enriches theoretical knowledge but also provides guidance that needs to be considered in the quality development of an educational institution.

Abstract

This study investigates how risk management practices contribute to the stability of Islamic educational institutions, using Pesantren Hidayatul Fauzaniyyah as a case study. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research explores institutional efforts in managing operational, financial, human resource, and reputational risks. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis, with informants selected via purposive sampling. The findings reveal that risk identification is routinely conducted through internal meetings involving school leadership and educators, addressing challenges related to curriculum delivery, financial sustainability, and community engagement. Strategies implemented include the development of income-generating agricultural enterprises, standardized recruitment and training of teaching staff, and structured financial governance. These efforts have strengthened institutional resilience, enhanced educational quality, and fostered community trust. The study highlights the importance of formalizing risk management in pesantren contexts and adapting it to local cultural, religious, and economic settings. While the single-case design limits generalizability, the findings offer a practical framework for other Islamic educational institutions seeking sustainable governance models. Further research should explore comparative and longitudinal case studies to refine context-sensitive risk management approaches in Islamic education.

Abstract

Many consider it difficult for Islamic educational institutions to achieve integrity zones due to rigid bureaucratic culture and resistance to change. Previous studies have focused on the implementation of integrity zones in government institutions and madrasahs to improve services. However, the unique religious and cultural characteristics of madrasahs differ from public bureaucracies. This study aims to explore the role of Change Agents in developing integrity zones at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cilacap, analyzing its contribution to strengthening governance based on good governance principles and Islamic moral values. Using a descriptive qualitative method with an exploratory case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observations, and secondary data reviews. Informants were selected purposively from MAN 1 Cilacap employees. The findings indicate that MAN 1 Cilacap has improved transparency and accountability through good governance principles and digital-based public services, including an information system for financial reporting, attendance, and online administrative services. The madrasah head has fostered shared commitment to a corruption-free environment, supported by a code of ethics and an integrity declaration. The integrity zone encourages behavioral transformation within the madrasah community, resulting in faster, more responsive, and satisfaction-based services, fostering an open, participatory culture focused on improving educational quality.

Abstract

The digital era requires students to have strong technological literacy skills for effective and safe participation in the global community. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of teachers in strengthening digital literacy at Raden Fatah Cimanggu Junior High School, including their roles as facilitators, ethical mentors, and role models in technology use. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data was collected through a series of participant observations, in-depth interviews with educators, and analysis of school policy documents. Data analysis was conducted through comprehensive stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that teachers have implemented their vital role by integrating technology into the learning process, utilizing collaboration platforms such as Google Classroom, and providing digital-based assignments. In addition to technical aspects, teachers actively instill digital ethical values ??and the ability to evaluate the validity of information, despite still facing challenges of equitable infrastructure and the need for ongoing training. It is concluded that teachers play a significant role in shaping students' character and critical thinking regarding technology, thus synergistic support from all stakeholders is essential to ensure the readiness of the younger generation to face a digitally connected future. ABSTRAK Era digital mengharuskan peserta didik memiliki kecakapan literasi teknologi yang kuat demi partisipasi yang efektif dan aman dalam masyarakat global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategis guru dalam penguatan literasi digital di SMP Raden Fatah Cimanggu, mencakup fungsi sebagai fasilitator, pembimbing etika, dan teladan penggunaan teknologi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui serangkaian observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan para pendidik, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara komprehensif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah mengimplementasikan peran vital dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, memanfaatkan platform kolaborasi seperti Google Classroom, serta memberikan penugasan berbasis digital. Selain aspek teknis, guru aktif menanamkan nilai etika digital dan kemampuan evaluasi validitas informasi, kendati masih dihadapkan pada tantangan pemerataan infrastruktur dan kebutuhan pelatihan berkelanjutan. Disimpulkan bahwa peran guru sangat signifikan dalam membentuk karakter dan daya kritis siswa terhadap teknologi, sehingga dukungan sinergis dari seluruh pemangku kepentingan sangat diperlukan untuk memastikan kesiapan generasi muda menghadapi masa depan yang terhubung secara digital.
