Abstract

Deep learning has become a strategic necessity in vocational education as it emphasizes the ability to understand, reflect, and apply knowledge contextually according to 21st-century workplace demands. This study aimed to analyze the role of principal leadership in implementing deep learning at SMK Citra Bangsa Mandiri Purwokerto, which has six areas of expertise. Using a mixed methods design with an explanatory sequential model, this research involved 30 informants consisting of principals, vice principals, teachers from various concentrations, administrative staff, and student representatives. Data were collected through Likert scale-based questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observations, and documentation. Quantitative analysis used descriptive statistics and simple regression, while qualitative analysis employed thematic coding techniques. The results showed that transformational, instructional, distributive, and charismatic leadership played significant roles in implementing deep learning encompassing pedagogical practices, learning environments, digital utilization, and learning partnerships. Findings indicated that visionary and collaborative leadership created a learning ecosystem supporting meaningful, mindful, and joyful experiences while developing eight graduate profile dimensions. This research provided theoretical and practical contributions to developing vocational education leadership relevant to 21st-century competency needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the marketing mix strategy and its contribution to the competitiveness of educational institutions at SMK Ma’arif NU 1 Ajibarang. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving key informants, including school leaders, teachers, and students’ parents. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The results show that the implementation of the marketing mix strategy at SMK Ma’arif NU 1 Ajibarang encompasses seven elements (7Ps), namely product, price, place, promotion, process, physical evidence, and human resources. The product aspect is reflected in the diversity of study programs, extracurricular activities, the BTA program, the culture of Qur’anic recitation, and the role of alumni. The price aspect is demonstrated through the provision of scholarships and affordable education costs. The place aspect is supported by the school’s strategic location. Promotion is carried out through direct socialization, the kirka system, and support from the Nahdlatul Ulama community. The process aspect is realized through close engagement with the community and the implementation of student discipline, while physical evidence and human resources are supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure as well as teacher development programs.These marketing strategies contribute to strengthening the institution’s image, increasing public interest, building trust and loyalty among parents, creating differentiation and competitive advantage, and encouraging stability as well as growth in student enrollment...

Abstract

This study aims to understand the mitigation strategies in addressing students' mental health vulnerability at MTs Muhammadiyah 02 Purbalingga. Using a qualitative approach and field research method, data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and school policy documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The focus of the research included factors such as excessive use of social media, age gap between teachers and students, and less adaptive communication patterns. The results showed that on average students spend more than six hours a day accessing social media and online games, which has an impact on declining learning focus, mental resilience and academic motivation. The age gap between teachers and students widens the differences in perspectives and ways of communicating, thus worsening relationships in the classroom. In addition, rigid teacher communication patterns are unable to meet the emotional needs of digital generation students. The strategies applied by schools include the integration of Islamic values in learning, strengthening character education, limiting the use of gadgets during school hours, and providing counseling services. This study recommends innovation in Islamic education management to be more adaptive to technological developments and social dynamics. Schools need to design strategies that integrate Islamic values with a healthy digital-based learning approach. Character strengthening and digital literacy should be an important part of the Islamic education curriculum. In addition, communication patterns between teachers and students need to be adjusted to the emotional needs of the current generation to be more dialogic and empathetic.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to explore how the management of parental involvement contributes to enhancing the quality of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an instruction at MI Plus Ma’arif NU Makam, Purbalingga Regency. This study is based on the premise that synergy between families and educational institutions plays a vital role in shaping students’ character and academic success, especially within the realm of religious education. Employing a qualitative approach and a case study method, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving the madrasah principal, teaching staff, and parents. The results demonstrate that parental involvement is managed across six fundamental dimensions: participatory planning, collaborative-based organising, structured program implementation, continuous evaluation, tangible parental contributions to students’ memorisation progress, and challenges in implementation.  Parental involvement in the Tahfidz program manifests across six managerial dimensions identified in this study. In participatory planning, parents contribute through curriculum review and target-setting discussions. Collaborative organising is reflected in the formation of program teams involving teachers, school leaders, and parent representatives. During implementation, parents support daily murojaah, utilise communication books, and participate in parenting and paguyuban activities. In control and evaluation, they engage in diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments. Parental contributions significantly enhance students’ memorisation progress through structured home routines and active communication with teachers. However, challenges include unequal participation levels, limited parental availability, and inconsistent documentation of supervision. These findings indicate the need for more inclusive and adaptive managerial strategies to strengthen school–family partnerships in Tahfidz learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan akhlak merupakan fondasi utama dalam pembinaan anak asuh di panti asuhan, terutama bagi lembaga baru yang sedang merintis sistem pendidikan dan pengasuhan. Panti Asuhan Aisyiyah Dukuhturi, yang berdiri pada tahun 2025 di Desa Dukuhturi, Kecamatan Bumiayu, Kabupaten Brebes, menghadirkan model pembinaan akhlak sebagai prioritas utama sebelum pengembangan aspek akademik dan keterampilan. Problem yang muncul adalah adanya tantangan besar dari pengaruh gadget dan lingkungan luar yang dapat mengganggu konsistensi pembinaan akhlak. Gap penelitian terletak pada minimnya kajian empiris tentang implementasi pendidikan akhlak di panti asuhan baru, khususnya dalam konteks lokal pedesaan yang berdekatan dengan masjid dan memiliki dukungan organisasi keagamaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi, praktik, dan hasil implementasi pendidikan akhlak di Panti Asuhan Aisyiyah Dukuhturi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara terhadap pengasuh, anak asuh, dan pengurus panti. Data lapangan menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembinaan dilakukan melalui kajian rutin di Masjid Istiqlal, pengajian Muhammadiyah, pendidikan formal di sekolah, serta keteladanan pengasuh. Anak asuh merasakan perubahan signifikan: lebih disiplin dalam ibadah, mandiri, sopan santun, dan mampu menahan emosi. Pengurus menegaskan visi membentuk generasi berakhlak mulia dengan indikator keberhasilan berupa kedisiplinan ibadah, perubahan sikap sosial, dan pengakuan eksternal dari masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa implementasi pendidikan akhlak di Panti Asuhan Aisyiyah Dukuhturi efektif membentuk karakter Islami anak asuh sejak awal. Meski menghadapi tantangan dari pengaruh teknologi dan lingkungan luar, panti berhasil menanamkan nilai akhlak melalui kombinasi kajian, keteladanan, dan keseimbangan pendidikan formal. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan model pembinaan akhlak di panti asuhan baru, sekaligus membuka ruang bagi kolaborasi masyarakat dan organisasi keagamaan dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Limited face-to-face is a newly used learning system in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. The need for adaptation for the application of this model, it is said, is limited because it is limited by new habits with the implementation of health protocols, short learning time, and restrictions on student activities. The adaptation process, one of which is the use of learning media used during learning. The Quizizz application is one of the alternative media that can be used when the system is in the network or directly, because of its flexible nature. Media Quizizz is a tool that can help students and teachers in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out the Quizizz application used in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at SMP Negeri 7 Purwokerto Indonesia with a limited face-to-face system. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection is carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. The description of the research results was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The author's initial steps formulate the problem. Then collect the necessary data. Next, the researcher analyzed the results of the study. In this study, the authors found that the Quizizz application was used in Islamic Education (PAI) learning as a learning medium. This application becomes a new online-based media that is very flexible and easy to use. The Quizizz application can be used by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers for student learning evaluation, which can be done in the classroom or used as homework, and in online learning systems or limited face-to-face learning systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kesulitan pendidikan agama dalam membangun karakter yaitu minimnya fokus pada budi pekerti, perubahan era dan permasalahannya, serta dampak lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakat yang berbeda. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan usaha untuk merancang taktik yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Pembelajaran kolaboratif memakai gaya konstruktivisme merupakan sebuah contoh model belajar yang melibatkan aktivitas utama murid. Keaktifan murid di aktivitas belajar mengajar akan meningkat jika murid menjadi fokus atau pokok pembelajaran serta guru berperan sebagai pemandu dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar yang mengarahkan murid memecahkan masalah. Di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Purbalingga sebagai sekolah yang memadukan kurikulum nasional dengan muatan muhammadiyah menciptakan konteks yang kaya untuk menerapkan pendekatan konstruktivisme, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Purbalingga pun telah berupaya dalam membangun sistem belajar PAI, salah satunya dengan mengadopsi model belajar Cooperative Learning. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengampilan kesimpulan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru Pendidikan Agama Islam serta siswa kelas X,XI, XII. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pendekatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan konstruktivisme efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan materi, metode pengajaran dan cara evaluasi berdasarkan kebutuhan, minat, serta gaya belajar setiap siswa. Metode ini menstimulasi peserta didik guna mengkonstruksi pemahaman mereka sendiri lewat pengalaman terkait dan relasi antarindividu. Pendekatan belajar kolaboratif meningkatkan interaksi, pertukaran pikiran, serta kolaborasi, menjadikan peserta didik lebih proaktif, mampu menganalisis secara mendalam, dan merefleksikan konten PAI.

Abstract

The principal's leadership is one of the effective forces in school management, school survival, especially in terms of development efforts, the progress of the entire school and is responsible for addressing changes in the world of education. The purpose of this study is to determine how the principal manages learning and continuous improvement in schools, and how the principal's leadership style and strategy affect the school's ability to adapt and transform in responding to changes in the educational environment. Qualitative research methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study, the principal as an edupreneur uses a transformational and democratic leadership style by developing superior programs and providing special training to be able to compete to become a superior school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pendekatan sosial religius dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai strategi penguatan moderasi beragama di SMP Raden Fatah Cimanggu, Kabupaten Cilacap. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada integrasi nilai sosial dan religius dalam proses pembelajaran untuk membentuk karakter moderat siswa. Urgensi penelitian ini berangkat dari masih ditemukannya kesenjangan antara ideal pendidikan moderasi beragama dan fakta sosial di lapangan, yaitu rendahnya kesadaran sosial serta kecenderungan eksklusivitas keagamaan di kalangan pelajar. Gap ini penting dikaji karena implementasi moderasi beragama pada tingkat SMP, khususnya di daerah rural semi urban, masih minim dieksplorasi secara komprehensif. Pendekatan sosial-religius relevan untuk mengalihkan pembelajaran PAI yang cenderung normatif-doktrinal menuju pembelajaran yang lebih dialogis, kontekstual, dan humanis. Literatur menunjukkan bahwa penguatan moderasi beragama memerlukan ruang refleksi, interaksi sosial, dan internalisasi nilai kemanusiaan, namun praktik implementatifnya dalam konteks SMP masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis pada pengembangan model pembelajaran PAI berbasis moderasi serta kontribusi praktis bagi sekolah dalam membangun budaya religius-humanis. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif fenomenologis melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumentasi. Informan terdiri atas seorang guru PAI dan 25 siswa kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI mengintegrasikan nilai gotong royong, empati, toleransi, dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman melalui strategi partisipatif dan reflektif. Siswa mengalami perubahan dari sikap eksklusif menuju keterbukaan, saling menghargai, serta meningkatnya partisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial keagamaan. Kolaborasi guru, siswa, dan lingkungan sekolah membentuk budaya religious humanis yang menumbuhkan karakter moderat secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan sosial religius efektif sebagai model pembelajaran PAI yang mampu mengintegrasikan spiritualitas dan kemanusiaan, serta berpotensi diterapkan di sekolah lain.

Abstract

Socratic Questioning is a dialogic approach that has the potential to develop students' critical reasoning in Islamic Religious Education (ISE) learning, but its implementation at the junior high school level has rarely been studied in depth. This study aims to analyze the application of Socratic Questioning by Islamic Religious Education (ISE) teachers and its relevance to the development of critical reasoning in ninth-grade students at SMP Ma'arif NU Karanggedang. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the learning situation and phenomena as they occur in the field through an in-depth exploration of teachers' strategies in building tiered dialogues, categorized into six types of Socratic questions. Data were obtained through three main techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. This study also serves to provide an empirical overview of classroom dynamics and the process of developing critical reasoning in the context of moderate Islamic schools. The results show that the application of clarifying questions, arguments, assumptions, other perspectives, implications, and meta-reflection can encourage students to develop analytical and evaluative skills. This is evidenced by their ability to explain concepts, link arguments to arguments, assess legal implications, and consider differing views of scholars. Teachers play an active role as dialogue facilitators, while a conducive learning environment also strengthens student engagement. The conclusion of this study suggests that Socratic Questioning is effective in developing students' critical reasoning and is relevant for enhancing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning through reflective dialogue. This approach opens up opportunities for teacher professional development through training in formulating critical questions and integrating directed dialogue into PAI learning.
