Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas IV di SDN Jukong 1 dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project-Based Learning). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang meliputi tahapan: merancang, melaksanakan tindakan, melakukan pengamatan, serta mengevaluasi melalui refleksi. Proses penelitian dilangsungkan dalam dua siklus dengan melibatkan 14 orang siswa sebagai peserta. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. yang bersumber dari hasil evaluasi, observasi keterlibatan siswa, serta penilaian terhadap produk yang dihasilkan. Pada siklus pertama, penerapan PjBL yang didukung dengan penggunaan mind mapping menunjukkan bahwa indikator berpikir kreatif berupa fluency dan originality masing-masing mencapai 77% dan 74%, sementara flexibility hanya mencapai 69%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan strategi melalui penerapan buku mini pada siklus kedua, seluruh indikator berpikir kreatif mengalami peningkatan signifikan: fluency, flexibility, dan elaboration mencapai 92,85%, serta originality meningkat menjadi 91,40%. Persentase tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan, dari hanya 26,7% atau 4 siswa pada siklus pertama, menjadi 80% atau 12 siswa pada siklus kedua. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media buku mini lebih efektif dalam mendorong kreativitas siswa dibandingkan mind mapping, karena memberikan ruang ekspresi yang lebih luas dan memacu orisinalitas. Meskipun terdapat kendala dalam hal waktu pelaksanaan dan kesulitan awal dalam penggunaan mind mapping, penerapan PjBL berbantuan buku mini Model Project-Based Learning terbukti mampu membangun suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan penuh makna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan ini efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dalam membangun kemampuan literasi membaca siswa kelas III di SDN Sidodadi I/153 Surabaya. Literasi membaca merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam pendidikan dasar karena berkaitan langsung dengan keberhasilan siswa dalam memahami berbagai materi pelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 24 siswa kelas III dan guru kelas yang berperan aktif dalam kegiatan literasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 24 siswa, 19 siswa (79,2%) menunjukkan kemampuan membaca yang baik, 2 siswa (8,3%) cukup lancar membaca, dan 2 siswa lainnya (8,3%) belum bisa membaca dengan baik. Hambatan yang ditemukan terbagi menjadi dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi rendahnya minat belajar siswa serta kurangnya pembiasaan membaca di rumah. Sedangkan faktor eksternal meliputi tingginya intensitas penggunaan gadget yang mengalihkan perhatian siswa, serta kurangnya dukungan dan kontrol dari orang tua. Salah satu praktik baik yang ditemukan adalah kegiatan pembiasaan membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran dimulai, yang telah dijalankan secara konsisten dan terbukti memberi dampak positif terhadap peningkatan minat dan kemampuan membaca siswa. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara guru, sekolah, dan keluarga dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung budaya literasi. Peneliti merekomendasikan penguatan program literasi sekolah berbasis kolaboratif, serta perlunya studi lanjutan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif atau eksperimen untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program literasi secara lebih mendalam.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was any influence of the contextual teaching and learning model on student learning outcomes in the 8 sub-themes 1 class v theme at SDN Alas Rajah 3 Bangkalan and to find out how students responded to learning using the contextual teaching and learning model. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental research design with the type of one group pretest posttest design. The research population is all fifthgrade students at SDN Alas Rajah 3 Bangkalan for the 2022/2023 academic year. Sampling using nonprobability sampling technique with saturated sampling type. The research sample was 15 students. Data collection techniques in this study used test questions, observation, and questionnaires. The results of the study show: 1) there is an influence of the contextual teaching and learning model on student learning outcomes in the theme 8 sub-theme 1 class v at SDN Alas Rajah 3 Bangkalan. This can be known through the results of the Wilcoxon test obtained Significance (2-tailed) 0.01 <alpha 0.05. 2). Student responses to learning can be identified through questionnaires which are carried out when students have finished carrying out learning activities. The results of the student response questionnaire sheet for learning got an average percentage of 84% in the very good category. So that it can be said that the student's response to learning using the contextual teaching and learning model is very good.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to find out the development of KOKOSIS learning media (Ecosystem Component Box) on the theme 8 sub-theme 1 grade V at UPTD SDN Panyaksagan Klampis; (2) to know the validity, effectiveness, and attractiveness of KOKOSIS learning media (Ecosystem Component Box) at the theme 8 sub-theme 1 grade V at UPTD SDN Panyaksagan Klampis. This development research uses the Borg and Gall development model. Based on the results of the research conducted, the results showed that the average percentage of KOKOSIS learning media’s validity was 89%, hence it can be categorized as very valid. The effectiveness of the KOKOSIS learning media which is being measured from the teacher observations is 100%, hence can be categorized as very active. Meanwhile, the result of the observation on the students’ activity is 98% and can also be categorized as very active. The percentage of classical completeness is 91%, hence it can be categorized as completed. In conclusion, the KOKOSIS learning media can be effectively used in learning process. Furthermore, the media’s attractiveness which is measured by the percentage of student questionnaire response shows that 97% of the students claimed it as attractive, thus it can be categorized as very interesting. Thus, it can be concluded that the KOKOSIS learning media is valid, effective and interesting to be applied in the Theme 8 Sub-theme 1 of ecosystem components topic for V grader at UPTD SDN Panyaksagan Klampis.

Abstract

This research is to produce thematic learning tools based on a contextual approach by integrating the local potential of Jumiang Beach Tourism. This study uses a 4-D development model developed by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were grade 4 students of UPTD SDN Tanjung 3 Pamekasan. The research instruments used included observation sheets, interview guides, and tests. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the validity of the learning device showed that the score of the design validation results was at 88%, and the material validation was 92.6%. So that the average student validation reaches 90%. The results of the practicality of learning devices are in the attractive category with a score of 86%, and the effectiveness of students reaching 85% is in the effective category. Based on these conclusions, a thematic learning tool based on an integrated contextual approach that is valid, practical and effective for use in elementary schools.

Abstract

Elementary school students often encounter difficulties in learning fraction concepts, particularly in understanding the ideas and computational procedures related to mixed fractions. This study aims to identify the factors influencing mathematics learning difficulties in the topic of fractions among fifth-grade students at SDN Dupak 1 Surabaya. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving thirty students and one classroom teacher as research subjects. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that 73.3% of students scored below the Minimum Mastery Criterion (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal, KKM) of 70. These difficulties are attributed to external factors such as monotonous teaching methods, an unsupportive learning environment, and limited engaging instructional media. Additionally, internal factors such as low learning motivation and weak foundational understanding of fraction concepts were found to be major contributors. The study concludes that innovative teaching strategies, the provision of engaging learning resources, and a supportive learning environment are essential for improving students’ understanding of fractions. These findings offer theoretical contributions to the study of mathematics learning difficulties at the elementary level and provide practical implications for teachers and educational institutions in designing more effective interventions.

Abstract

The ability to write cursive letters is a fundamental skill in elementary education, playing a crucial role in the development of fine motor skills, handwriting neatness, and writing speed, all of which impact students’ overall academic achievement. This study aims to identify the factors causing difficulties in writing cursive letters among second-grade students at SDN Sidodadi 1/153 Surabaya. A qualitative case study approach was employed, focusing on a single class group. Observations revealed that students’ writing abilities fell into three categories: high, moderate, and low. Students in the high category demonstrated neat and consistent handwriting, while the moderate category was characterized by irregular letter size and inconsistent spacing between words. The low category featured handwriting that was difficult to read due to untidiness, uneven letter sizes, and irregular spacing between letters. The factors contributing to writing difficulties were divided into internal and external factors. Internal factors included weak fine motor skills, low interest and motivation, insufficient writing practice, and limited understanding of cursive writing rules. External factors, identified through interviews, included excessive gadget use, limited parental involvement in home learning, and less interactive teaching methods. This study highlights the importance of a holistic and collaborative learning approach involving teachers, parents, and the environment to address students’ difficulties in writing cursive letters.

Abstract

Dependence on gift-giving in the context of elementary education has become a significant issue with the potential to affect students' psychological development, particularly in terms of self-confidence. This study aims to analyze the influence of dependence on rewards on the self-confidence levels of third-grade students at SDN Sidodadi I/153 Surabaya. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through documentation studies, questionnaires, and direct observations of the students as the primary subjects. The findings indicate that appropriate reward-giving can enhance students' motivation and self-confidence; however, excessive dependence on rewards may hinder their initiative and independence. The forms of reward used include praise, recognition, physical gifts, and tokens of appreciation, which proved effective when administered proportionally and contextually. The study concludes that measured reward-giving can serve as an educational strategy in fostering students' character and self-confidence. Nevertheless, supervision from teachers and parents is necessary to prevent this strategy from causing adverse effects in the form of dependence that may harm the psychological development of children. These findings have important implications for educational practice, particularly in designing approaches that promote sustainable independence and self-confidence.

Abstract

Writing literacy skills is one of the essential skills that must be developed from an early age in elementary education. This study aimed to develop students’ narrative writing literacy skills through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Sequential Picture Puzzle media in Grade IV of Socah 2 Public Elementary School. The research problem addressed was the low narrative writing ability of students. The approach used was Classroom Action Research, referring to the spiral model of Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 27 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods based on seven aspects of narrative writing assessment. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ narrative writing literacy skills. Classical learning mastery increased from 55.6% in Cycle I to 77.78% in Cycle II, with the average score rising from 67.81 to 72.33. The most notable improvements were found in sentence coherence and the accuracy of spelling and punctuation. The Sequential Picture Puzzle media proved to be an effective visual aid in stimulating students to organize story ideas sequentially and systematically. Therefore, the integration of the Discovery Learning model with visual media contributes positively to the development of elementary students’ narrative writing literacy and serves as an innovative alternative strategy in literacy education.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi berhasil atau tidak sebuah proses belajar adalah adanya penggunaan media pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran video pembelajaran diimplementasikan dalam proses belajar mengajar untuk mengevaluasi perubahan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan media pembelajaran video pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN 5 Jeruk Kecamatan Bandar Kabupaten Pacitan dengan sampel siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dan guru kelas IV tahun 2024. Penelitian ini mengggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu meningkatnya minat belajar pada siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran video pembelajaran pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran video dapat menunjang minat belajar siswa menjadi lebih tinggi sehingga dengan siswa menjadi lebih bersemangat dalam belajar akan berdampak kepada hasil belajar yang lebih baik.
