Abstract

Aim of literature review study is examine social-emotional learning (SEL) can be used to enhance primary school pupils' cognitive learning results. By reviewing five pertinent scholarly journals, the study takes a qualitative approach. Results show that SEL improves students' social emotional capabilities while simultaneously having major positive impact on their academic achievement in classroom. Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relational skills, and responsible decision-making are the five SEL core competencies. Group conversations, role-playing, and cooperative projects that promote empathy, communication, teamwork, and learning motivation are ways that SEL is incorporated into classroom instruction. Providing a secure, encouraging, and welcoming learning environment, parents' and the community's support is vital, and teachers play a critical role as facilitators. Guarantee sustainable SEL practices, the evaluation also highlights the necessity of school policies and training. As a result, SEL becomes an essential teaching method for encouraging students' overall character development and raising their academic performance.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul ajar dalam pembelajaran IPAS Materi Gaya menggunakan pendekatan STEAM Terintegrasi permainan karapan kaleles yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk mengembangkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Gaya. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Proses pengembangan modul dilaksanakan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahap analisis meliputi analisis sumber belajar, kurikulum, materi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan dan model pembelajaran. Tahap perancangan meliputi pembuatan kerangka modul ajar penyusunan instrumen penilaian modul ajar, Tahap implementasi adalah tahap uji coba modul ajar yang telah divalidasi. Tahap evaluasi adalah tahap menganalisis kelebihan dan kelemahan modul ajar yang telah diuji cobakan. Modul Ajar ini dinyatakan valid berdasarkan penilaian dari ahli Materi dengan rata-rata sebesar 78,3%, penilaian dari ahli LKPD sebesar 92,9% dan validasi ahli Modul Ajar sebesar 89,5%. selanjutnya berdasarkan wawancara dengan guru, modul ini efektif untuk membantu siswa memahami materi Gaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan mahwa Modul Ajar Dalam Pembelajaran IPAS Materi Gaya Menggunakan Pendekatan STEAM Terintegrasi Permainan Karapan Kaleles terbukti dikembangkan Valid,paktis dan efektif.

Abstract

Poetry writing is a key skill in Indonesian language learning that fosters students' imagination and expressive abilities. However, initial observations in Grade IV of SDN Demangan 1 revealed that students had difficulties in understanding poetic elements such as theme, rhyme, diction, and stanza structure. This study aims to improve students' poetry writing skills through the implementation of a creative pedagogy approach based on Project Based Learning (PjBL). The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles with 33 students as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and written tests, while data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a significant improvement in students' poetry writing abilities. The average class score increased from 70.75 in Cycle I to 83.3 in Cycle II, and the number of students achieving mastery rose from 19 to 27. Notable progress was also observed in aspects such as poetic structure and diction. These findings indicate that a creative pedagogy approach based on PjBL is effective in enhancing elementary students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe how students' language skills are in Indonesian language subjects and to find out how creativity is carried out by teachers in improving students' language skills in Indonesian language subjects in class V UPT SDN 290 Gresik. This research uses qualitative methods with a field research model. Researchers must go directly into the field to obtain information through qualitative methods, namely the researcher's role as a key instrument. This type of descriptive qualitative research is used by researchers to provide an overview of the research conducted through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the research conducted show that there are some students who have not fully mastered language skills, but teachers try to awaken their teaching creativity to be able to overcome these problems. Based on the results of observations, it is said that the teacher's creativity is in the very good category. This is also supported by the results of the observation sheet which obtained a total score of 486 with a percentage of 78.73% and a score of 66-79 meaning it is in the good category

Abstract

His research was conducted with the aim of knowing the level of success of learning mathematics using the AJEL (Active, Joyful, Effective Learning) learning method. Previously, mathematics learning was still in the form of learning using the lecture method. The lecture method makes students less interesting with the learning that is done. Learning with the AJEL method (Active, Joyfull, Effective Learning) is expected to increase students' interest in learning. The research method was carried out by means of class action assessments which were carried out at SD Negeri 1 Bandung located in Nganjuk Regency with class 5 research subjects with a total of 15 students. Data obtained by observation, as well as direct classroom action. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of the AJEL learning method in learning mathematics in grade 3 SD Negeri 1 Bandung can increase students' interest in learning mathematics

Abstract

Students' interest in reading in Indonesia is still relatively low, influenced by various factors such as the use of smartphones for visual entertainment and the lack of literacy guidance. One way to overcome this problem is through a structured reading literacy program. The 2 Sheets of Reading Every Day Literacy Movement at SDN Pejagan 7, Bangkalan, was designed to increase students' reading interest and critical literacy skills. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The program involves the active role of the principal, teachers, students and parents. The data analysis process began before the implementation of activities in the field and continued during the field activities. The steps include the process of summarizing data, displaying data, and making conclusions. The results showed a significant increase in students' interest in reading, although there were obstacles such as time constraints and book availability. The 2 Sheets of Reading Every Day Literacy Movement proved effective in building a reading culture in elementary schools. However, this program needs strengthening in the aspects of time management, additional book collections, and technology integration to support its sustainability and development in the future.Abstracts should be clear, concise, and descriptive

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve fifth-grade students’ conceptual understanding of spatial figures and collaboration skills at Keleyan 1 Public Elementary School by implementing the Group Investigation model assisted by manipulative media. The research addresses two key problems: students’ low comprehension of abstract geometric concepts and limited participation in collaborative group activities. The study was conducted using Kurt Lewin’s action research model, carried out over two cycles involving 35 students and a classroom teacher. The instruments used were collaboration observation sheets and conceptual understanding tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage comparisons and gain score analysis. Prior to the intervention, 88.6% of students had not met the Minimum Competency Criteria, and only 11.4% showed a high level of collaboration. After two cycles of intervention, students demonstrating high collaboration increased to 40%, and those with low collaboration decreased to 17.1%. Additionally, the average gain score for conceptual understanding reached 0.60, which falls under the moderate improvement category. The findings indicate that the Group Investigation model, when integrated with role assignment, structured collaboration, and the use of concrete, manipulative media, can effectively enhance both cognitive and social dimensions of mathematics learning. This approach provides a promising strategy for fostering active learning in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning interest of fifth-grade students at UPTD SDN Pamorah after the implementation of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in science learning. The study was motivated by students’ limited attention and participation, as classroom activities were not yet fully connected to their cultural backgrounds and experiences. A quantitative descriptive method was applied using a survey technique. The sample consisted of 37 students who completed a 30-item Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentage calculations across four indicators: enjoyment, attention, curiosity, and engagement. The results indicate that students’ overall learning interest was at a moderate level, averaging 70.42%. The curiosity indicator achieved the highest score (85.88%), while attention was the lowest (60.73%). These findings suggest that the CRT approach effectively enhances students’ learning interest, particularly their curiosity, though further efforts are needed to strengthen their focus and active participation in class

Abstract

This study aims to implement the cooperative learning model of the Make a Match type to improve numeracy skills in mathematics for third-grade students at SDN Banyuajuh 5. The research method used is classroom action research based on the Kemmis & Mc. Taggart model, consisting of several cycles with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research results indicate that the implementation of the cooperative learning model Make a Match gradually enhances students' understanding of multiplication concepts. In Cycle I, the percentage of students with numeracy skills reached 62,1%, which means that, in the first cycle, students' numeracy skills had already reached a high category. In Cycle II, there was an increase of 7.4% in students' numeracy skills, bringing it to 69,5%. Meanwhile, in Cycle III, students' numeracy skills improved further, increasing from 69,5% in Cycle II to 77,7%, indicating that students' numeracy skills were classified as very high. These results demonstrate a continuous improvement in students' numeracy skills from Cycle I to Cycle III. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that the cooperative learning model

Abstract

Organizing innovative and quality education in order to produce professional and competitive primary school educators is the vision of the elementary school teacher education program in Trunojoyo Madura University. One form of educational innovation is to develop learning media that supports educators. Learning media is important in the learning process. The presence of learning media is able to bridge the obscurity of the material presented. One of the materials needed for its delivery is animal metamorphosis. Characteristics of animal metamorphosis material are difficult to present in class and in a short amount of time. The objectives of the research carried out are to: (1) produce learning media for metamorphosis of animals and interactive multimedia in elementary science subjects; and (2) learning the feasibility level of learning media for animal metamorphosis and interactive multimedia in elementary science subjects. This research uses research and development methods. The development model used is 4D. The research subjects were third semester students in the Natural Sciences elementary school. The instruments of data collection used consisted of questionnaire sheets. The results showed that the metamorphosis of animal media and interactive multimedia was appropriate to be used with very good categories in terms of media and material aspects.
