Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pendidik dan orang tua mengenai pendidikan dan pengasuhan yang menyenangkan berbasis Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). Pelatihan dilakukan di Nobel Play Group & Kindergarten, Makassar dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 31 orang. Metode pelatihan melibatkan ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan praktek langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta kegiatan pelatihan dapat menyerap materi dengan baik dan memahami konsep-konsep utama yang disampaikan, terutama mengenai pendidikan dan pengasuhan yang menyenangkan berbasis DAP. Persentase hasil penilaian terhadap penguasaan terhadap materi pelatihan mencapai 90%. Disarankan agar pendidik dan orang tua terus meningkatkan kompetensi mereka dalam mendukung perkembangan anak melalui kolaborasi yang lebih erat.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the overview of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on the ability to recognize geometric shapes of children aged 5-6 years and to determine the influence  of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the ability to recognize geometric shapes of children aged 5-6 years. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a type of Quasi Experimental  research with a research design, namely a nonequaivalent control group design. The population in this study is children aged 5-6 years. The sampling in this study is cluster random sampling. The sample in this study is 14 children with 7 children as the experimental group and 7 children as the control group. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis. The results of data analysis obtained Asym (2-tailed) = 0.017 < 0.05 HI accepted and H0 rejected, meaning that the geometry ability of children who were treated  with the problem-based learning  model in the experimental group experienced significant development compared to the control group. This shows that the problem-based learning learning model significantly influences the geometry ability of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study using an experimental method. The research design employed is a one-group pretest-posttest aimed at (1) determining the social skills of children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam before the role-playing method is applied, (2) determining the socio-emotional skills of children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam after the role-playing method is applied, and (3) analyzing whether there is an influence of the role-playing method on the socio-emotional development of early childhood children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam. The independent variable in this study is the role-playing method, while the dependent variable is the socio-emotional skills of the children. The sample in this study consists of all children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam, totalling 15 children. The data obtained from the research show that (1) the social skills of children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam before the role-playing method was applied were in the very low category, with a percentage of 60%, (2) the socio-emotional skills of children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam after the role-playing method was applied were in the moderate category,  with a percentage of 33%, and (3) there is an influence of the role-playing method in developing the socio-emotional skills of children in Group B at KB Al-Qalam.

Abstract

Literacy is a set of individual abilities and skills in reading, writing, speaking, counting, and problem-solving at a certain level of expertise required in everyday life. Basic literacy consists of 6 things, namely language literacy, numerization literacy, science literacy, digital literacy, financial literacy, and cultural/civic literacy. Financial literacy is education on how to manage finances wisely as needed. Financial literacy education is given to children from an early age with the hope that children are used to managing finances well so that they can be free from financial problems in the future and can achieve their welfare This research is an experimental research that aims to find out whether there is an influence of project-based learning on early childhood financial literacy skills. The data analysis technique is analyzed using the paired sample t-test technique. Based on the paired sample test results, a t-value of -16.412 was obtained with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. It can be concluded that project-based learning has a significant effect on early childhood financial literacy skills.

Abstract

Local wisdom as a cultural heritage owned by a community, including traditions, values, customs, and local knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation. Within the scope of PAUD, local wisdom has great potential to become an integral part of the learning process, enrich children's learning experiences, and strengthen their cultural identity. This research aims to find out the preparation of an operational curriculum based on local wisdom and to find out the challenges faced in the preparation of an operational curriculum based on local wisdom in PAUD. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results of the study show that the process of preparing the curriculum through systematic stages involves analyzing needs, formulating goals, determining the content and structure of the program, and developing learning strategies that integrate elements of local wisdom. Collaboration between the school, community leaders, and parents of students is the key in identifying and integrating relevant local wisdom in the curriculum. Conclusions and suggestions in this study are periodic training to improve teachers' understanding and skills in integrating local wisdom into learning. The Education Office should provide guidance and training for schools in developing an operational curriculum based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This research wants to find out about the impact of gadget use on early childhood development at an early age. The purpose of this research is to describe early childhood language skills at the age of speaking and listening/listening. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive method. The subject of this study is early childhood at the age of 4-5 years The results of this study show that there are some children who have not been able to express language well so that in the category they have not developed, this can be seen from children who have not been able to answer questions according to the questions, have not even been able to express their feelings with adjectives and have not been able to express their opinions to others. Meanwhile, some other children have begun to be able to express language well enough so that they are categorized as beginning to develop. The obstacles faced so that the development of early childhood language is hampered obtained from the results of parent interviews, namely due to the lack of firmness and supervision of the use of children's gadgets from parents.

Abstract

Permasalahan penenelitian ini rendahnya kreativitas anak pada kegiatan melukis. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan melukis menggunakan bahan bekas terhadap peningkatan kreativitas anak. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah jika kegiatan melukis menggunakan bahan bekas diterapkan dalam pembelajaran maka kreativitas anak dapat meningkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design. Sampe penelitian terdiri dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol masing-masing 6 orang anak, dengan desain penelitian yaitu Non Equvalent control Group Design. Variabel penelitian adalah kegiatan melukis menggunakan bahan bebas (variabel bebas) dan kreativitas anak (variabel terikat). Penelitian ini bertempat di TK Mentari Bontoa Kota Makassar. Teknik pengumpulan data tes, observasi dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis kuantitatif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan kreativitas anak yang siginifikan setelah penerapan kegiatan melukis menggunakan bahan bekas.

Abstract

Speaking skills in children are essential in supporting the growth and development potential, so a strategy is needed to develop this ability. One of the problems with children's speech delays is the need for more stimulants in the form of informal activities during their early development. This study analysed the effect of using digital talking media on the speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years in early childhood education services. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design research type. Data were collected from 60 children aged 4-5 years. The methods used in collecting data are questionnaires and tests. The instrument used in collecting data is the question sheet. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed a positive influence on the speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years in early childhood education services through conversation activities using digital talking media. The use of digital media talks in two forms, namely talking dolls and talking applications on Android. Regarding interest, using the talking application on Android is most in demand by children. This study concludes that there is a positive influence on the use of digital talking media in improving children's speaking skills in kindergarten, the age group of 4-5 years.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research that aims to determine the implementation of inclusive education in early childhood kindergartens. The subjects in this study are school principals, educators and students. The research procedure is carried out through the pre-field stage, the field work stage, and the data analysis stage. The data collection technique uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. The technique of checking the validity of the data uses triangulation. The data from the research results provide an overview of the Implementation of Inclusive Education in Early Childhood Kindergarten, starting with the identification of ABK through screening activities, classification, learning planning and monitoring of learning progress through MPLS activities. Preparation of assessments of cognitive, language and communication, motor, and perception development. Develop an individualized learning program by assessing the strengths, weaknesses, interests and needs of children from various aspects of development, developing long-term goals and short-term goals, designing methods and procedures for achieving goals and determining evaluation methods. Teachers implement an inclusive PAUD curriculum in their learning activities in the classroom using simplified learning materials, an equal teaching and learning process, adequate infrastructure and a safe, comfortable and child-friendly learning environment.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is one of the important pillars in efforts to prevent disease and improve public health. In the pesantren environment, especially among female santri, knowledge and application of PHBS are very crucial to prevent the onset of various diseases, both infectious and non-communicable. To increase public knowledge, health education is needed with the right media so that it is easily understood so that it affects changes in knowledge and attitudes. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase santriwati's understanding of the importance of implementing PHBS in the surrounding environment. The service is carried out from preparation to evaluation. The methods used in the service are health education lecture methods, direct application in the field as well as brainstroming, and interactive question and answer. This service activity involved 80 female students at Ponpes Aisyah Sumbawa. PHBS counseling activities went smoothly, all students enthusiastically participated in this PKM activity. Based on the results of observations, this PKM activity was able to increase students' awareness and knowledge in order to practice Clean and Healthy Living behavior.
