Abstract

Many Indonesian people suffer from dental and oral diseases. Based on riskesdas data in 2018, the criteria for children aged 5-9 years (67.3%) experienced problems in dental health while those who received treatment were only 14.6%, and the criteria for children aged 3-4 years (41.1%) had problems on dental health while those who received treatment were only 4.3%. Based on preliminary data on Lampeune State Elementary School children, according to Aceh Besar District, 7 of the 10 students examined were bad criteria and 3 of them were good criteria. Therefore, it is necessary to control the plaque index, controlling the plaque index can be done mechanically or chemically, mechanically by brushing teeth and using herbal toothpaste. The problem in this study is the comparison of herbal toothpaste with non-herbal toothpaste on the decrease in plaque index in children at the Lampeune State Elementary School, Aceh Besar District. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental research / guast experiment, using random sampling method with a population of 625 students and the number of samples used is 100 students on the criteria of age 7-12 years. From the results of the study, the average value of the decrease in plaque index after brushing teeth using herbal toothpaste was 1.486 while after using non-herbal toothpaste the plaque index score was 2.668. In this case, it means that there is a significant comparison between herbal toothpaste and non-herbal toothpaste, as evidenced by a p-value of less than 0.05, which is 0.000.

Abstract

Pengembangan inovasi produk berbasis buah naga di Kelurahan Kalampangan, Kota Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah, memiliki latar belakang berupa potensi buah naga yang cukup besar dan bervariasi. Namun, pengelolaannya belum optimal, mengakibatkan buah naga hanya dijual mentah tanpa pengolahan, sementara limbah kulitnya dibuang. Abstract

This research is a study to analyze the protection of children in schools and the protection of teacher professionalism, especially to maintain a balance between protecting children's human rights in schools with the implementation of teacher professionalism which also needs to be protected in educating children. The specification or type of research in this study is descriptive in nature, using normative juridical research methods through several approaches: the statutory approach and the conceptual approach. The results showed that based on data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) in the first semester of January to July 2022, 12 cases were recorded, consisting of 3 cases occurring in schools in areas under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture with a percentage of 25%. Meanwhile, cases in the education unit under the auspices of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion were 9 cases or 75%. Based on education level, 2 (16.67%) cases of violence occurred at the Elementary School (SD) level. Middle school level was 1 (8.33%) case. Islamic boarding schools 5 (41.67%) cases. Madrasas are places of recitation/place of worship in 3 (25%) cases, and 1 (8.33%) place for music courses for kindergarten and elementary school aged children. The age range of the victims was between 5-17 years. Victims numbered 52 children with details of 16 (31%) boys and 36 (69%) girls. While the perpetrators totaled 15 people consisting of: 12 teachers (80%), 1 (6.67%) owner of the boarding school, 1 (6.67%) child of the owner of the boarding school, and 1 (6.67%) senior of the victim. On the other hand, violence against teachers is still common, for example, in August 2016 there was a beating of a father and son against a teacher at a well-known school in Makassar. This case felt very strange because according to the news, the child, who incidentally was a student of the battered teacher, also took the opportunity to throw punches at the time his father was "crazy" at school. In early February 2018, it was also reported that Achmad Budi Cahyanto, a teacher at SMAN 1 Torjun, Sampang, Madura, died after being beaten by a student named HZF. Therefore, the existence of Law no. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law no. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, is intended to prevent arbitrary actions against Indonesian children, as well as Law no. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers,

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of coding and Acehnese culture-based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in elementary school mathematics learning, analyze the learning process that supports the development of students' mathematical creativity, and identify local cultural values that can be adapted in technology-based and realistic learning designs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an exploratory study design. The research subjects included teachers and students in grades IV–V at an elementary school in Bireuen Regency, Aceh. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the integration of coding and Acehnese culture-based RME can create meaningful, creative, and contextual mathematics learning. The application of local cultural contexts such as Acehnese rumoh motifs and Acehnese cultural values helps students understand mathematical concepts concretely and closely related to their lives. Meanwhile, the application of coding through platforms such as Scratch and Blockly fosters logical and systematic thinking skills and increases creativity in problem-solving. Collaborative and reflective learning reinforces the values of meuseuraya (cooperation) and tameh (politeness), so that students develop not only cognitively but also socially and emotionally. This study concludes that the synergy between local culture, digital technology, and a realistic approach is an effective strategy for realizing meaningful 21st-century mathematics learning rooted in cultural identity. This model can be used as a reference for teachers, schools, and researchers to develop learning innovations based on local wisdom in the digital era.

Abstract

In Indonesia, traditional medicines are grouped into three types, namely traditional medicines (herbs, imported traditional medicines, licensed traditional medicines), standardized herbal medicines (OHT) and phyto-pharmacy. There are three types of logos with their respective criteria for grouping traditional medicines or natural medicines from Indonesia. The three kinds of traditional medicine logos are the herbal medicine logo, the OHT logo and the fitofarmaka logo. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of Imelda University students about the logo on the packaging of traditional medicines. This research is a descriptive survey research and is cross-sectional in nature, namely research that aims to describe the phenomena found at one time and once, both in the form of risk factors and effects or outcomes. Pharmacy students have good knowledge of 84.6% compared to non-pharmaceutical students who have good knowledge of 34.6% about logos on traditional medicine packaging. This is because students in the pharmaceutical field better understand and learn things related to health sciences including information about logos on traditional medicine packaging. Based on research data, it can be concluded that the origin of the study program affects the level of knowledge of the respondents (students), while age, gender, and place of origin did not affect the level of knowledge of the respondents.
