Literacy in the sense of the ability to read and write initially has a very important role, literacy in the early grades is the basis for determining success in student learning activities, but there are still students in elementary schools who are not able to read and write (literacy) well. So researchers are interested in conducting research with the title "Student Abilities and factors that influence literacy". This service activity was carried out at SDN 032 Tanjung Batu Tarakan on September 21 2024 at 08:00-11:30 WITA. The formulation of the problem in this research is "What factors influence the literacy of children at SD Negeri 032 Tanjung Batu Tarakan?". This research aims to determine various factors that influence children's literacy taught at school. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects in this research were students whose literacy was still lacking at SD Negeri 032 Tanjung Batu Tarakan, totaling 68 students consisting of 44 boys and 24 girls. Data collection was carried out using tests and interviews. The research results obtained in this study are that there are several factors that influence children's literacy, including the educational background of parents, the tutoring they receive, the family (level of family concern) and genes (heredity).

This program aims to increase the income of MSME housewives through innovation and modification of donut topping products. This program is designed to empower housewives with new skills in making and marketing more interesting and varied donuts. Through training and mentoring, it is hoped that housewives can improve the quality of their products, attract more customers, and ultimately increase family income. The method used to develop the Skills Training Program is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This approach involves the active participation of SME owners, namely housewives, as program stakeholders. Data collection techniques include interviews, surveys and observations, while the data collected will be analyzed qualitatively by coding data and compiling narratives to identify relevant problems and solutions. The result of this work, namely the UKM skills improvement program for housewives, is a comprehensive initiative that involves the active participation of UKM owners and stakeholders. This includes technical, managerial, financial and financial literacy training to increase production and competitiveness of SMEs. The program also covers aspects such as information technology, social skills, environmental sustainability and collaboration to empower SMEs as a whole. With this holistic approach, it is hoped that SMEs can develop and contribute to local economic growth and have wider market opportunities, especially for housewives in general.

Nowadays technology is developing rapidly, one of which is gadget. Gadget is one of the physical forms of technology that always develops from year to year. Besides having uses and facilitating human life. Excessive use of gadgets has many adverse effects on health and development and growth in early childhood. This can happen because of the impact that can trigger excessive consumptive behavior. In addition, it also causes children to become introverted or more closed due to lack of social interaction. This socialization aims to provide education about gadgets in early childhood in order to realize quality education. Although technology was originally created to produce a positive impact, on the other hand technology also has a negative impact. For example, like gadgets. Gadgets can have a negative impact such as online game addiction which is bad for children's physical and psychological health. The dangers posed by the use of gadgets are a serious concern to be addressed immediately in order to minimize the negative impact of gadget use on early childhood, especially on children in elementary school. This socialization was conducted for 1 day at SDN 020 Tarakan and was attended by 28 students of class 4A at SDN 020 Tarakan. With this socialization, it is hoped that children will be able to understand the negative impact of using gadgets and it is proven by children who are able to answer questions.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat keterisian (load factor) dan mengidentifikasi strategi optimalisasi kapasitas angkutan speedboat CV Sinar Jaya Samudra di rute Nunukan-Sebuku. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan survei jumlah penumpang, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari manifest penumpang, jadwal operasional, dan dokumen perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat keterisian berkisar antara 53% hingga 57%, dengan fluktuasi penumpang yang signifikan sepanjang tahun. Bulan Januari, Februari, April, dan Juni mencatat tingkat keterisian yang lebih rendah, menunjukkan kapasitas speedboat belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi promosi intensif, pemberian diskon pada bulan-bulan dengan permintaan rendah, serta penyesuaian jadwal keberangkatan agar lebih sesuai kebutuhan penumpang. Selain itu, kolaborasi dengan agen perjalanan juga diusulkan untuk meningkatkan jumlah penumpang. Dengan menerapkan strategi ini, diharapkan keterisian penumpang dapat meningkat, efisiensi operasional tercapai, dan layanan transportasi laut tetap berkelanjutan serta memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi masyarakat di wilayah Nunukan-Sebuku.

Pantai Amal Baru Village, East Tarakan District, Tarakan City, is a coastal area in Tarakan City that has abundant tourism potential and marine resources. The majority of the people of Tarakan City rely on resources in coastal areas as their livelihoods, especially as seaweed cultivators, fishermen, and coastal natural tourism drivers. Tarakan City has a fairly high potential for cultivating fishery commodities, one of which is seaweed resources, which are products of economic value as industrial raw materials that are urgently needed in the global market. However, seaweed cultivators face several problems, including capital, production costs, unstable market demand, unstable seaweed prices, and seaweed workers who do not have enough knowledge and skills regarding the improvement of seaweed processing in Tarakan City. This service activity was held in Pantai Amal Baru Village, East Tarakan District, Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province on September 16, 2024 at 09.00-16.00 WITA. This activity was carried out at the seaweed cultivation site of Pantai Amal Baru with the participation of IRT, seaweed workers, and also small children. The methods carried out in this service activity are community education, improving the quality of seaweed cultivation, and documentation. This service activity describes the comprehensive objectives of the community service program which includes aspects of marine resource management and economy in the coastal community of Amal Baru Beach. This includes community education, improving the quality of seaweed cultivation, developing seaweed processing and increasing income.

Indonesia menempati urutan ke-27 tertinggi dari 154 negara dengan angka prevalensi stunting, dan berada di urutan ke-5 di Asia berdasarkan data UNICEF dan WHO. Dalam menindaklanjuti arahan Presiden Joko Widodo pada Rapat Kerja Nasional BKKBN, 25 Januari 2023, program ini bertujuan mengembangkan optimalisasi gizi di Kelurahan Kampung Enam, RT 14, Kota Tarakan pada 27 September 2024 melalui pemberian Bubur Manado sebagai solusi nutrisi bagi masyarakat dan petani setempat. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kurangnya asupan gizi seimbang dan kesejahteraan masyarakat di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan gizi, pelatihan pembuatan Bubur Manado sehat, dan distribusi bubur secara berkala. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya gizi seimbang dan peningkatan konsumsi makanan bergizi melalui Bubur Manado. Diharapkan program ini dapat menjadi model bagi program serupa di wilayah lain dan berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat serta petani. Stunting is a condition where a child experiences growth disorders, so that the child's height does not correspond to his age, as a result of chronic nutritional problems, namely lack of nutritional intake for a long time. One effort that can be made to control stunting is by improving nutrition. Program issued by the government to control stunting in Indonesia. The method used in this activity is education. The results obtained were socialization activities regarding improving children's nutrition through counseling and distribution of healthy snacks (Jasuke). This can be seen from their way of thinking which is increasingly open to implementing activities related to stunting prevention, increasing knowledge in efforts to control stunting through this program. This activity is one of the reference activities carried out by University of Borneo Tarakan students in an effort to prevent stunting cases. This research program aims to improve children's nutrition through education and distribution of healthy snacks. The method used involves promoting balanced nutrition using poster media, as well as distributing healthy, nutritious snacks. This research was conducted on elementary school age children at SDN 035 Tarakan, Pamusian Village RT 19, Jalan Pangeran Antasari, Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province on September 17 2024.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of extention using audiovisual media on the knowledge of kelompok wanita tani in utilizing yards in Sigaluh District Banjarnegara Regency. The research was implemented in July 2024. Involving 30 kelompok wanita tani from 15 villages with the number of samples in the intervention group 268 and control group 268. The results of the study were obtained with a good perception found in the amount of 191 (71.3%). Kelompok wanita tani knowledge in the intervention group was found to be mostly in the moderate category at 223 (83.2%) and knowledge after video intervention was found to be good knowledge at 242 (90.2%). While the knowledge of the control group was mostly in the category of less than 144 (53.7%) and knowledge after the intervention was found with sufficient knowledge as much as 240 (89.6%). There is a significant effect of extention using audiovisual media on the knowledge of kelompok wanita tani in the Sustainable Food Yard Program (P2L) in Sigaluh District, Banjarnegara Regency (p<0,05).

Haji Dinare's Thornless Milkfish Production House is a small industry or home industry in Tarakan City that buys, processes, and markets processed milkfish products abroad. The recording process is still manual, in this Milkfish Production House still uses book records so that the data generated is less accurate, effective, and efficient. In addition, this milkfish production house has weaknesses that need to be improved, namely purchase and inventory reporting whose accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency have not been met. The home industry that we raise, for example, the Production House of Thornless Milkfish, will be very good if it has a good management system so as to produce a total inventory cost that is close to optimal. One method to manage inventory properly is the Economic Order Quanit (EOQ) method, JIT, data collection, inventory turnover (Inventory Turnover Ratio), average inventory (Avarage Inventory), annual holding cost (Annual Holding Cost), and total annual inventory cost (Total Annual Inventory Cost).

Shrimp is one of the marine resources with significant economic potential, particularly in tropical regions. The utilization of shrimp can contribute substantially to the economy of coastal communities. This study aims to analyze the economic potential of shrimp and its utilization by coastal communities in tropical regions. The results of the study indicate that shrimp has significant economic potential, with production values reaching hundreds of millions of dollars per year. However, the utilization of shrimp by coastal communities is still suboptimal due to limited market access, lack of knowledge on shrimp processing technology, and inadequate government support. This study recommends several strategies to enhance the utilization of shrimp by coastal communities, including market infrastructure development, training on shrimp processing technology, and increased government support.
