Abstract

School Field Introduction Program (PLP) 2 is one of the programs aimed at providing real experience for students in the learning process at schools, which is also one of the compulsory courses. This article aims to describe the role of PLP II students in assisting the active learning process at SMKN 1 Bone. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with observation, documentation, and direct experience techniques during the implementation of PLP II. The results of the study show that PLP II students play an important role in assisting teachers during the learning process, increasing student participation through discussions and question- and-answer activities, as well as supporting various school activities. The presence of PLP II students provides a positive contribution to the learning environment and helps create a more active and interactive learning process at school.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology requires students to possess adequate digital literacy skills to effectively search, evaluate, and process information. This study aimed to describe the practicality and effectiveness of an electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) approach on the Human Excretory System topic to enhance the digital literacy of eleventh-grade senior high school students. This study employed the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) and was conducted up to the Develop stage. A limited trial was carried out involving 30 eleventh grade students of MAN Kota Surabaya. The practicality of the E-LKPD was assessed through learning implementation observations and student response questionnaires, while its effectiveness was evaluated based on group worksheet performance and the improvement of students' digital literacy skills measured using the N-Gain score. The results showed that the E-LKPD demonstrated a very high level of practicality, with a learning implementation score of 100% and a student response rate of 99.84%. The E-LKPD was also proven effective, as indicated by an average group performance score of 95, with all groups achieving scores above the minimum mastery criterion (≥75), and an average N-Gain score of 0.77, which falls into the high category. Therefore, the SETS-based E-LKPD is considered practical and effective as a biology learning medium to enhance the digital literacy skills of eleventh grade senior high school students.

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education offers greater efficiency in completing academic tasks, but it also raises concerns about dependency and reduced student engagement in critical thinking processes. This study aims to analyze the use of Artificial Intelligence in Learning Planning courses, identify patterns of efficiency and dependency in AI use, and examine the role of AI Literacy in relation to students’ critical thinking skills. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring AI use and AI Literacy, as well as case-based tests measuring students’ critical thinking skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and moderation regression to examine the relationship between AI use and critical thinking and the role of AI Literacy in this relationship. The findings indicate that students use AI to generate ideas, understand learning materials, identify alternative learning strategies, and assist in developing learning plans, thereby improving academic efficiency. However, a tendency toward AI dependency was also identified, particularly when students experienced difficulties completing tasks without AI assistance. At the same time, students demonstrated awareness of the need to verify AI-generated information, compare AI outputs with academic sources, and use AI as a supporting tool rather than a substitute for their own thinking. These findings suggest that AI does not automatically weaken students’ critical thinking skills; rather, its impact is influenced by the quality of AI Literacy and patterns of AI use. Strengthening AI Literacy is therefore essential to ensure that AI supports, rather than replaces, students’ critical thinking processes.
